I'd say Angel but that fucker wouldn't show...

You forgot Ted Flink. You can't forget Ted Flink.

"Yeah, the one about the kid, by himself in his house, burglars trying to get in and he fights them off? I had nothing to do with that one. Somebody sold their soul to Satan to get the grosses up on that piece of shit." (Y)~!
-
Yeah, his progression has been pretty interesting and for a while he's been slipping downhill then began to reach for redemption and now will have a murder on his conscience. I just really hope they make sure to follow up on it next season.
-
It was disappointing because it seemed very, very obvious. Because it turned out to be very, very obvious (with exception to the cop-being-sister-swerve but that wasn't genius). Ah well, I really liked the Carver up until the unmasking... I think anybody being unmasked would've ruined it.
-
I was pretty disappointed but I think their get-a-way in Spain was somewhat redeeming ("A doctor's work is never done...") but what the hell was that whole "writers said it'd be somebody from every season?" Anyway, it was a good finale overall and I'm wondering what'll be churned out next season. Edit: I liked the storyline with Matt to see how it affects him and see if Ariel comes back or not.

"Merril is dead." I thought we just saw him just to peeling away his face, not dead? It would definitely explain the mask. Edit: 'Sides the whole, you know masking your face from being seen as a serial killer.

Thanks man, I knew I'd be back eventually. Just be glad I didn't run with the idea of Luchador's death being the last Punk'd prank before Ashton switched gears and tried Spunk'd which resulted in tons of law suits. Of course, under Punk'd's contract, you can't reveal it was a prank until said prank was done. Edit: I'll edit in some real comments soon since I intend to read the show.
-
I'm thinking Merril here and I am looking forward to the finale way too much.

SWF STATS THREAD, Summer 2005 Edition
The Ill One replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Edit: Tried to improve the stats a bit. Smarks Board Name: InsanityMan Wrestlers Name: Insane Luchador (His real name is Andrew Rickmen) Nicknames: IL, Your Psychotic Hero, The Ill One (credit: MVS) Height: 6’1” Weight: 221 Hometown: Easton, Pennsylvania Age: 23 Face/Heel: Face Stable: None. Ring Escort: None. Weapon(s): Everything and anything. Light tubes have a very, very special place in his heart. His signature would be “Excalibur” (six light tubes taped together attached to a metal handle to create a sword). Quote: Looks: His body is built in the frame of an average twenty-something man in surprisingly good shape. He has black hair that he spikes up, wild green eyes with streaks of blue and yellow, a somewhat beaten nose, and an overall an intimidating presence. He doesn’t make people run for cover but his looks do match his occasional psychotic behavior and that can make him unnerving. He wears baggy, khaki cargo pants, either a skateboarding, blank, music t-shirt, or a hooded sweatshirt and beaten up black Emericas. He dresses casually inside the ring and outside. Ring Entrance: “Man in the Box” by Alice in Chains plays as the opening guitars grind into the audience’s heads. Once the song kicks up pyro of black and red burst and he just walks out. He milks the cheers before throwing his arms into the air energetically before sprinting down to the ring while slapping fans’ hands. Stats: ¯¯¯¯¯ Strength: 3 (His strikes will hurt and he can lift –to an extent- but nothing too impressive). Speed: 6 (He’s no Wildchild but he can move). Vitality: 8 (He’ll fall from the chair shots but chances are that he’ll roll back up for more). Charisma: 3 (He does talk but his longevity and persona gets the fans’ support). Style: Insane Luchador’s original instinct is to brawl but over time he’s learned that it hasn’t been the most effective method. So he learned how to take to the air and use his speed in hopes that combining that with smart striking would do the trick, but it didn’t. But over time he learned how he prefers to handle his different opponents- Technical (includes mat wrestlers)- He will use his striking to keep distance and will do whatever it takes to avoid it going to the canvas. This means he will wiggle out of holds, leaping forward rolls when the opponent lunges out, leap frogs, etc. Once it does hit the canvas he just has to rely on his limit knowledge of the basics to get free. His only advantage, which is hardly an advantage, is that his tolerance for pain makes it next to impossible to get him to tap. On the flipside, you can always keep the hold until he passes out. Heavyweight Beasts (includes basic brawlers)- He just has to use his speed and some smart striking to wear them down. Once it seems likely for him to take to air then he’ll bust out the aerial arsenal. The only exception would be planchas because he doesn’t hesitate for those. His DDTs used with momentum is his safest bet to wear them down for an Evenflow DDT or a Brink of Insanity. Cruiserweights- Here is where his striking and brawling comes to play. Despite being speedy IL isn’t known for the flashiest cruiserweight action so he’ll use body blows (especially knees) and work those legs. Once they are fatigued then he will feel free to take to the top rope, bigger moves, etc. Hardcore- This is more or less a unique category because IL was born for hardcore wrestling. Here is where his high tolerance and “sadistic streak” shines. He just likes inflicting pain, bleeding, taking some punishment, and he’s very, very creative with his environment. In the vein of Flesher’s stance- if you see a move that Luchador could conceivably do, especially for spots, then go wild. You have total freedom in writing Luchador but I’d appreciate it if you make sure he passes out before tapping out. Signature moves: Flying Crossbody- Off the top rope and can Steamboat proud. Tornado DDT Brainbuster Rear Naked Chokehold- Stolen from JJ Johnson after learning how effective it can be. Usually starts with the opponent standing and he brings them down by body scissors. Rolling DDTs- Three to Four Rolling DDTs Moonsault- Off the top rope Top Rope Bulldog Frog Splash Strikes until the opponent falls to their knees followed by a dropkick to the face Fisherman’s Suplex- On the rarer end of signature moves, if that makes any sense. Common moves: Spinning Backfist Knees- One of his favorite tactics is a front headlock followed by knees to the body. Elbows- He’s not Danny Williams but it’s a good alternative sometimes. Knife Edge Chops Kesagiri Chop- Downward diagonal chop to the side of opponent’s neck (think Kobashi) Reverse DDT Camel Clutch Dropkick Kick Combinations- Nothing too fancy, just a string of three to four kicks. Snap Suplex Release German Suplex- Generally used on cruiserweights or lighter heavyweights. Baseball slide to opponent in Tree of Woe Hurricanrana Backdrop Suplex Russian Legsweep Elbow Drop- Off the top rope. Kneedrop Yakuza Kick- I know this seems like an odd move to put here but it’s to sway momentum, not murder. Drop toehold Basic Cruiserweight Moves Rare moves: Implant DDT Destruction- Foe and IL are back to back. IL reaches one arm back and hooks it around the opponent’s throat then holds the other arm out in a cross. He then bends down and lets the opponent lay elevated then jumps backwards to smash them on their faces. It’s hard to explain and it’s sketchy but I’ve seen this move done. It’s possible. Hardcore moves: Balcony Sault (Signature)- It’s a moonsault from a balcony. Pretty self explanatory- he’ll hit it against anybody if the opportunity presents itself but he rarely hits it. It’s safe to say that off any high object IL will have no problem trying to hit a moonsault. Hanging On the Brink (Signature)- It’s the same thing as Brink of Insanity (see finishers) but instead of the usual he hangs the opponent over the ropes and apron off to the side. This is perfect for smashing people through objects on the outside. GoreGasm (Signature)- Backdrop driver. But it must be done through or onto something. Get creative because it’s one of his favorites. Master of Masochism (Rare)- Corkscrew moonsault and it’s always off of something insanely high. Usually through something and Luchador will occasionally have a weapon to keep him company. Finishers: Brink of Insanity: He gets the opponent in a full nelson near the turnbuckle. He hops onto the top turnbuckle and leaps off, swinging his legs to his opponent’s side, and bringing them down. Evenflow DDT- Kick to the gut, front headlock, an optional jump into the air, spike down for DDT. He can make it lightning fast or lingering if he wants to work the crowd or taunt his opponent. This used to be his favorite finisher but now-a-days it doesn’t seem to have the venom it used to but he won’t hesitate to use it. Notes: IL definitely has an unstable mind but he isn’t quite “voices in my head” crazy, instead he just has a very warped view on his life and the world. He bleeds like a first timer, adores any sort of hardcore match, and sometimes can seem like a complete masochist. Bio: Death? What Death? -

Andrew Rickmen is still at large.

Another crisp summer night had swept into Easton, Pennsylvania. A dark, quiet night where only either humming or broken street lights, occasional distant car, garbage rustling around, and all lights coming to a dim in the battered, broken city. A police cruiser rolled cautiously down the street looking for any activity worth an investigation. The two cops trudged down the street glancing around for deals, gang members, stolen cars, or domestic disputes. They turned on their headlights as they approached a car with its back door broken. The officers paused in the cruiser then nod, shutting off the engine, and getting out of their sanctuary. The car door slamming disturbs the silence as the two officers withdraw their flashlights while glancing about in paranoia. They crept up to the beaten black four-door as an officer noticed a man lying in the backseat. He signaled to his partner and pulled out his gun while the other shined the flashlight into the back window to examine. He took a few steps for a closer look and then swore to himself as he let the gun lay down by his side. “What is it?” The first officer asked as he shut off the flashlight. “Radio for an ambulance, somebody pulled a Bon Scott here,” he replied. -- The next morning there is absolute pandemonium inside the local new station as everybody scrambles to prepare for them to reach the air. An attractive, blonde hair and blue eyes anchor glances through her papers apathetically until a man comes running up. He leans over to whisper something into her ear which causes her to grunt in frustration but she snatches the paper away from his hands. She stares down and then glances back up at the man who just slowly nodded. “Yeah, alright, fine, I should be able to pull this off,” she insists. -- Meanwhile down at the Easton morgue two officers and a mortician stand surrounding the cold, steel table where the lifeless, bruised body sits. One officer asks questions while the other jots down notes as the mortician points to various areas with an explanation for what had gone down. “So it’s that simple?” The officer glanced up from his pad to the mortician. “Well it’s obvious why his body is bruised, he’s been dead for a good few hours… blood rushes and body bruises depending on the situation,” he begins to say. “I meant the original cause,” he clarifies. “Oh, yes, right. That simple,” the mortician confirms before launching into an explanation to the officers. -- In a luxurious hotel room in Greece the peace is disturbed. The phone rings as Tom Flesher grunts and rolls away from Allison Onita to pick up the phone. He doesn’t respond but just listens. “…Okay, yeah, okay… no, I appreciate it,” he says in stunned confusion. He brings the phone away from his ear as his mind reels while he slowly brings the phone down into the cradle. “What was that about?” Allison pouts seductively. “Nothing… but I got to go,” Flesher quickly responds as he sits up from the bed. “Thomas, what happened?” She firmly asks. “Work related, listen, I’ll be back soon,” he insists as he leans over to peck her with a kiss. He stands up to change in appropriate attire as he walks towards the door. “I don’t fucking believe it,” he mumbles to himself as he leaves, slamming the door behind him, as Allison looks at the shut door in concern. -- The six o’clock news begun as the attractive news anchor clears her throat and glances about before starting the main story that’ll be top news all of this week. “In our top story for this morning involves a Greek tragedy. Because a life of a hometown hero last night ceased to be…” -- The mortician glances up and down the cold, battered body before covering it with the sheet- leaving only a toe tag visible. He slowly shakes his head as he shoves the slate away into its holder until requested again. He gives a heavy sigh. “It’s never easy when they are that young…” -- “…Last night Andrew Rickmen, better known as Insane Luchador of wrestling fame, was found dead. Police report that he suffocated on his own vomit while attempting to recover inside a friend’s car after taking a direct flight back into his hometown. He was said to of had drinks with his closest friend and then claimed he wanted to wander Easton’s streets for old times sake. There is not much I can personally say about this poster boy for a train wreck life but somebody did step up to allow Andrew to have a proper life summary. That man here today is Dan Dohm, retired wrestler known as Renegade, who served as a co-worker, trainer, and a best friend to Andrew Rickmen.” She looks over as he stepped towards the table, taking the chair next to him. Renegade, complete with a pale face and contrasting black stubble, slowly got comfortable in a messy thrown-together attire. He nods towards the camera and then turns his attention to the anchor but his eyes seem to be roaming far away in the distance. “Dan, we all truly appreciate you being able to come here after such a horrific event for you,” she sincerely says. “No problem,” Renegade awkwardly chokes out. “You met up with Andrew Rickmen last night for a few drinks, how did he seem?” She asks. He sighs and replies, “Andrew never seemed to be overly happy. It was more of how stable he could seem because he truly could have two sides to him at the same minute. But when I was with him he seemed pretty subdued and sounded happy to update me on his plans for the Smarks Wrestling Federation after losing a championship but still holding another.” “Do you know if the SWF has been notified about Rickmen’s situation?” She asks. “I made the call in personally because I worked as his trainer when he needed that extra help, so they deserved to know. I haven’t gotten any reply since I left the message.” She nods. “Stop me at any time this may get too personal but our audience would love to know exactly who Andrew Rickmen was. First off, what was his journey like from a child to become a wrestling icon?” “Andrew, well, he was obviously born in the heart of Easton. His parents were out of work and his brother fell into a gang… Andrew’s older brother, Eric, was four years older and his idol. Eric had taken a fancy to the world of gang banging because it was the only success he knew of. As his parents struggled to even keep their house they turned to Eric who said he knew somebody who could help- as long as they made sure to make payments. Protection, basic needs, and little luxuries were theirs as long as nobody tried anything stupid…” “They made a deal with the devil?” The anchor asks. “Yes but one time Eric overheard how this man wasn’t patient enough for all these small payments and would have to cut off the business deal. He went to confront the man which led to a small conflict between the sets of their gang. A fight went down at the park not even a block away as Andrew Rickmen, now hardly past fifteen, stumbled onto the scene. He watched his brother betrayed and brutally stabbed to death while even being taunted by this man.” “Do you think that could have been the first event that set Luchador off-kilter?” She asks. “Yes and no. Andrew was fit for that lifestyle like a glove because of his natural behavior. He was able to convince the man who murdered his brother to give his family another chance to pick themselves off their feet. He agreed with gritted teeth and made it very clear that this was their last shot. This man was quickly rising to power beyond Easton’s realms and didn’t think Andrew was worth a penny. One day his parents were late on a payment and Andrew thought he saved his parents again. Yet instead when Andrew came home his parents were slaughtered, the car mangled, and the house torn apart from a violent rampage. His closest friend, who had a brief stint in wrestling as ‘Midjit’, was a fellow gang member who agreed it was time for them to get revenge or bail out. The two set out to murder this man but couldn’t even get close to him which led to a manslaughter charge to both of them after a confrontation between a rival gang. When the police picked them up they took a plea bargain- give up some names and information then they could be free to leave without any charges pressed.” “So he was essentially a snitch?” The anchor asks in surprise. “Yes and no. The two only spilled their guts on this man and his ‘operation’ to appease the police and advance their agenda. But they had their escape as they both turned towards wrestling. It fed their appetite for violence, kept them traveling, and was a way to make steady pay. Andrew said that he wasn’t seeking revenge anymore because that stage of his life was over.” “That’s awful,” she sympathizes. “But really that’s all I have ever seen Andrew’s life to be- a violent rampage for a sense of revenge. Almost against the world because he was positive he was pitted versus the entire world… it made him very paranoid, violent, and hard to approach. He and I, however, ended up in a stable, an alliance or group in wrestling terms, and from there we have been close.” “You believe Andrew was delusional about life?” She asks. “…How could I doubt it?” He says and pauses to steady his trembling lip. “Andrew was repeatedly screwed over in his life. Wrestling was the life for him but even there he faced adversaries, conflicts, and still his personal demons. Midjit had commit suicide, he’d lose title bouts, and he’d remain in the farmer league longer than majority of the roster. It eroded his mental sanity away. He’d take random, sporadic breaks from wrestling without telling anybody where he’d be. Like a magic act- disappear and resurface.” “Is it true one time he faked his own death?” “He was reportedly shot at and vanished…” He clarifies. “Was this man who was responsible for the slaughter of his family… was his name Rex Matthews?” She asks. Renegade’s eyes narrow at her and he grunts, “Yes.” “He and many of his men were murdered in a methamphetamine warehouse in a summer during one of Andrew’s leaves, right?” She continues. “Yes.” “So do you think…?” “I try not to think about it. Now that he’s gone I know police still are probing into that but I also know that Andrew’s life philosophy was retribution. He knew how to shoot a gun and he still knew people who knew people. I don’t think about that or his break downs. I try to remember the fact that Andrew Rickmen was a misled, decent person who had personal demons that overwhelmed him. Andrew had been drunk many times and last night was a fluke, not a suicide attempt, and definitely not the way he deserved to go.” Renegade chokes up. Even the anchor sniffles. “I’m sorry if we hit a sore spot…” “It’s fine. People should know exactly what Andrew was about. A twisted sense of justice, self-served justice… his issues led him to victories and ultimately led to his downward spiral… he was honestly a good guy at heart.” “It only makes sense that after such a tragedy of a life that he would have issues.” “He was a good guy…” Renegade mutters again before standing up. “I’m sorry but it’s still too early…” He walks off without anybody stopping him as the anchor clearly strains her face from tears. “Andrew Rickmen, whose birth name was lost after he cut a deal with the police, was believed to be twenty-seven at his age of death. His funeral status is still depending as he was survived by no family and it is assumed the SWF will provide proper burial. His life was one constant string of woes and struggles. He endured through life as a twisted vigilante and openly accepted the anguish that not many of us could imagine- but even against Andrew Rickmen’s wishes… the pain is done.” -- OoC Edit: Aaannnddd the four year experience has halted to an end. Honestly this last run was a stretch, ironically with most showings, and I knew this time was going to be coming very soon. I won't get into sappy messages left because at this point there is nobody in the federation I don't like. I'm done with TSM but still will be around on AIM if you feel the need. Whatever works- but good luck to everybody and appreciate the work everybody has put in for this federation on a constant basis.

Nice, I had a couple thousand words done and then just fell asleep. Last night was a long night and well, made his day a little bit ugly. If it's any reassurance to you- I wasted my only nice spot which was a Yakuza kick through a wall of stained glass collage. But still, welcome back.

Awesome match Johnson, I struggled to finish mine up but just couldn't- but hey, welcome back and it's always nice to get beat by you. (Y)~!

Probably because it's a lot more fun to talk shit about cops than to admit the lady was an annoying, disobedient douche. Made for an amusing video and thread though... -
"Hurricane" Bob Dylan I nearly want to bash my head through a wall because "Disco Inferno" by 50 Cent is stuck in my head.
