Since I live about two hours away, I think I may look into going to this show. I don't even really care what the card will end up being, seeing how the last live wrestling event I went to was a WCW PPV back in Cincy. Tickets are probably gonna be insanely expensive though.

He fit pretty damn well in the Rottwilers and it's not like the Rottwilers were all that much different from LAX.

Usually I support TNA's odd booking choices, trying to so the big picture, but now I'm kinda confused as to how TNA can miss the rather obvious booking move of putting Joe in the main event of Bound for Glory. I'll just hold out hope that between now and Bound for Glory, this gets fixed.

If he was Konnan's original choice, then I'll say yeah. I mean, I've never seen Ricky Banderas wrestle before, so I really have no idea about his skills or really anything about him, I'm just going off the fact that Konnan is good when it comes to finding talent. He might not be a great in-ring worker anymore, but Konnan has shown that he's a pretty good talent scout.

I keep watching in the hopes that there'll be a resolution to the various storylines TNA has made. Like the whole the screw job in Michigan, the video tape, what Jackie Gayda knows, a lot of these other vaguely defined storylines that they mention briefly but never go into detail and maybe Raven's girlfriend (though I think they dropped that when Raven was recovering from the thyroid thing).

The influcence of mixed martial arts in pro wrestling
AlaskanHero replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Yes, wrestling could use some aspects from MMA, just as MMA could (and in some cases has), however there's a sort of...line that wrestling and MMA shouldn't cross before they begin stepping on each other's toes and begin to blend. I like watching wrestling because of the spectacle. Storylines, characters, crazy matches, stuff like that. I like to watch MMA because of the realness. Knowing that the two guys have a reason to win and knowing that they'll go all out to get that win. Both have their place and the two can co-exist, since you're not going to find a breath-taking spectacle like Jack Evans in MMA, just as you won't find an incredible fighter like Matt Hughes in wrestling. -
Now that I've finished watching the Naruto anime up to the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc, I'm turning my attention to Bleach, since I've heard so many good things about it. However, before I start watching the anime, I wanna read the Manga (because it won't take me as long to read all the pages as it would for me to watch all the episodes). My problem is, that I don't have a great deal of space of my HD, so I don't want to actually download the chapters. I'm looking for a site where I can read the chapters online in a gallery type thing. Anyone know a place and if so, mind posting or PMing a link to me?

There was something about the image of the bleeding Tommy yelling at Heyman while being restrained by Heyman's security force as the crowd chanted "You Sold Out" that I really liked. It seemed kind of...poetic, I guess.

I completely forgot Kelly was even at ringside.

I just finished watching the Double Elimination 4-Way match to crown the first ever X-Division champ and outside of the ringwork, two things stood out to me. The first is that TNA felt more important and bigger than it does now, despite me knowing that TNA was pretty much nothing back then. I think it's because I couldn't see the entire extent of the crowd. Also, Don West tends to get a lot of shit, but listening to him back then and watching the replay now, it's just incredible how much Don West has improved, sounding more competant and less like a really excited mark.

I've watched the full hour of the Dudesons and Raising the Roofs and I can say without hesitation that both suck more than any show I've ever seen so far in my life. I had hope for the Dudesons after the Jackass guys were all like "They were Jackass before we were Jackass!", but then they go ahead and suck. Raising the Roofs is as shitty as you would think it to be.

If they do, I'll be pretty impressed. Guess not. I'm still waiting for your explanation of how Orton is a pedophile. HE FUCKS CHILDREN~!!!! What children are you talking about? I mean, Brooke is 18. Last I checked, 18 year olds were not children.

Damn, there's been a lot of wrestling this week. Anyways, I don't think it's Kazarian because I believe he and Bentley are tagging together for a match against some team at the PPV. I'm gonna guess Puma is one of the two. The other I have no idea about. And since the winner of the 4-way won't face Jarrett at this PPV, does Joe get the win or do you hold off on it for another month or two?

TNA is doing old school ECW better than Sci-Fi ECW! Rhyno as the new Shane Douglas > Flair as the new Funk Except Douglas throwing down the NWA title actually started up a new promotion, while Rhino burning the ECW title tells us ECW is dead, which we all already knew anyways. Waste of time. Technically, Douglas's throwing down the NWA title didn't actually start a new promotion. It was just Douglas declaring that the NWA was dead and the beginning on a new era for Eastern Championship Wrestling, that being the change to Extreme Championship Wrestling. I'm curious as to what the long term repercussions will be. Will this be a turning point for TNA or just another angle?

I'm gonna guess that Umaga and AAE will appear when the Diva Search girls come out and will probably do something involving them. And on Unlimited we have a Public Service Announcement with Howard Finkel talking about to pitfalls of fraternizing with wrestlers.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved the Tupac skit.

OAO ECW Week 4 on Sci-Fi, July 4th
AlaskanHero replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Isn't tonight's show being booked by Vince? -
I wonder how long it's going to take for the YTMND with that little kid to appear.

Or just sign the many good looking fantastic american workers that are RIGHT THERE. Vince McMahon will NEVER take the division serious enough to actually look at talent above looks. He has just started to do that with the men. Like he didn't with Alexis Laree? There are many good looking and talented female workers out there. I get your point, but I just wanna say that it took 3-4 years of working in OVW and a bigger pair of tits for her to get a spot on the roster.

But people need to keep in mind that PPVs are their bread and butter, the only thing that actually gets them any significant financial gain. From a creative standpoint, 6 PPVs a year would be ideal, but they might not be able to afford to drop those 6 PPVs. On the other hand, having more time to build up their PPVs could result in bigger buyrates and offset the lose of those other 6 PPVs, but that's a big 'if'. It would be a bit of a risk, but sometimes risks are neccesary. Can't be afraid to go out on a limb, since that's where the fruit is and whatnot.

If you think about it, being a Mark or a Smark is kinda like being in the Matrix. When you become a Smark, you're seeing how deep the rabbit hole is and there is no going back. Whether it's by training to become part of the business or immersing yourself in dirtsheet info, you gain knowledge that causes you to never look at wrestling the same way again. "Marks" may read insider info and know a little bit of what's going on behind the scenes but, for whatever reason, don't really investigate and for the most part accept wrestling on face value. "Marks" can walk away from wrestling as a whole, for "Smarks" it may prove a little more difficult to just stop watching altogether.

I played through the game at least three times and read many websites about the game and I still don't understand all of the story. When it was kept simple, the story was fun, but when they started getting into the "Contact" and all that shit, I sorta zoned out because I couldn't really get into it. I will say that the battle system is still one of my favorites and that games need more schizophrenic heroes.

This is the WWE so let's call it the move #3 of the 5 moves learned from OVW. But he's from DSW.

I rather liked tonight's show, but like everyone else said it felt recycled. Last week's show wasn't bad by any stretch, but I don't want to see it every single week. And I don't know why, but I have a feeling CM Punk will debut next week. I got no evidence to back that up, but who knows? It may happen.

It'll set up Kool-Aid Man getting caned. That would be fuckin hilarious... Only if he bursts through a wall and goes "OH YEAH!". Otherwise it's just silly.
