I do have to agree that TNA does have a very, VERY slight upper hand here (as in nearly nonexistant, but still there). WWE is still trying to put this over as a shoot. They want to make it seem that Matt is still unsigned by anyone. TNA has never said outright that Matt Hardy was going to be there (outside of the one little hint JJ made on Impact two weeks ago). If WWE wants to keep making this look as legit as possible, they're going to have to not only let Matt do the PPV, but maybe some other things TNA wants Matt to do. WWE, of course, doesn't have to concede anything and could keep Matt from doing anything TNA-based, but then it would hurt the angle. At least with internet fans, seeing how the storyline seems to be catering to the internet crowd (with the Byte This segment, tirades on Matt's site, and whatnot).

Something like this happened to me a little while ago, though I got to my desktop where it would load for a little while before restarting (I stupidly took down my firewall for a few moments beforehand. Never again....). Anyways, after doing the non-destructive restore thing in Setup, everything went back to normal and all my shit was just fine. Try that and if it works, then get the new hard drive and back up your irreplacable stuff.

I don't mind using only a CAW in Season Mode, that's all I do use. However, I better be able to make my trusty Incredible Hulk CAW and make him look somewhat decent or I'll be pissed.

I'd guess that they'll just never mention Lita and Kane's connection and just focus on the Matt/Edge/Lita thing. I assume that most marks have a general understanding in what happened and know that kane and Lita were never married or anything. Otherwise we'd probably hear more "You screwed Kane" chants than "You screwed Matt" ones. I call it a Necessary Plot Hole. Just like with the ONS buildup, they never mentioned anything about Steph owning ECW. Don't mention things that'll cause confusion and just focus on the parts that get the reaction.

He still reports back to WWE, though. That is what I'm saying. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If he doesn't have a contract, he doesn't report to them. End of story. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought it was reported around the time Foley was feuding with Somoa Joe that Foley was reporting on some of the talent to Vince. I also think he is under contract, but if he is not, I see both your and Bob's points. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Foley is under contract. He has a "Playground Clause" or something like that. Basically, he can do as he pleases on the indies and if he feels like coming back to WWE to do an angle of something, the door is open for him to do so. Mick also scouts potential signees with Samoa Joe and CM Punk being two guys Mick said were ready to be signed.

This is from 411 who got it from PWInsider. There ya go.

So, who wants to take a guess at how long we'll be talking about that in some way or another?

Count-outs take away points?

For those who give a shit about the previews, here's the Raw Preview.

No, it's not. They removed it.

"Man" gets arrested for exposing his breasts
AlaskanHero replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in General Chat
AoO is completely right in saying that Over the Rhine is a shithole. I've had to go there a few times back when I lived in Cincy. Not a nice place at all. -
I think the best course of action is to just wait until next week and see what Hassan says, because right now all we can do is speculate and assume they were terrorists and say how the WWE is stupid for doing stupid things. Maybe there's an explanation or an apology or something coming next week. Also, like I said in the Smackdown thread, Eddy shouldn't win the blowoff. His whole heel persona is based off of being unable to beat Rey (thus why he turned). It's based off wanting to hurt Rey and his family in anyway possible (thus holding this secret over Rey to blackmail him). If he beats Rey, then what? If he beats Rey in the final blowoff, why would Eddy still be a heel?
-
Eddy CAN NOT job anymore to Rey. Eddy must win the blowoff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was pretty sure one of the most basic rules in booking was that the face must win the blowoff. Besides, Eddy turned heel because he couldn't beat Rey and he's a heel now because he's tormenting Rey due to being unable beat him. Eddy's whole heel character at this point is based off of being unable to beat Rey Mysterio. If Eddy beats Rey then what's the motivation for his character? Why would he still be a heel if he overcame the very thing making him a heel?

I'm confused as to how it could be offensive. If you think about it as a mark, it's kinda funny. A Muslim summoning terroists after his manager got beat up to beat up a zombie. I was laughing at the segment because it was so damn goofy. And the Rey/Eddie "secret" angle is starting to make some sense after what happened this week. It's a good ol' fashioned blackmail storyline. I expect that Eddie will continue to torment Rey, making him Eddie's bitch/slave for a while until he finally tells Rey to lie down so he can pin him. Then Rey will snap, crowd will cheer, match signed for PPV, where Rey wins the final blowoff.

First, I have to say that the image JoeDirt posted was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Anyways, even though a lot of people did lose their jobs today, you just gotta accept it. It's the nature of the beast that is WWE. I mean it's not like any of them are irreplacable. It's not like any of them were over (outside the Dudleys and arguably Haas). And it's not like there aren't a couple thousand people working on the indies, not to mention the mass of people in OVW and Deep South Wrestling, that they could either sign or bring up. When you know that you're going to have less income withing the next few months, you make some sacrifices, keep things you can afford (with maybe a luxury item here or there), and buy things at a lower price that are just as good as what you got rid of. Like it or not, all the workers cut were expendable. Think about it. If you were a mark, would you really even notice that Maven/Mark Jindrak/*insert person who cut here* was gone?
-
When WWE pretty much said he sucked too much, in-ring, to have a competitive match with Shelton, I just knew that that Maven was going to be cut eventually. Akio's gonna be ok and maybe a little better off in the indies. He'll make a good addition to TNA's X-Division and ROH will undoubtably want him. He might end up making more money working the indies than in WWE. Gangrel was still part of the roster? That surprised me the most. Kidman, Moore, and Jindrak are fucked when it comes to a future in wrestling outside of WWE. I mean, would any of you really want to see an indy show headlined by "Former WWE Superstar, Billy Kidman/Shannon Moore/Mark Jindrak"? At least Kidman has his wife to mooch off of. For a while anyways.

I honestly have no issue whatsoever with the whole "terrorist" thing. Hell, the only reason I'm even thinking about them as terrorists now is because you all said something. Besides, like it's been said hundreds of times before, nothing that happens in the world is safe from wrestling. Or at least WWE. WWE using stereotypes in their programming is as inevitable as the sun setting in the west. Say it's not so, Rey.
-
Usually I try and stay positive when it comes to Raw and WWE in general. But even I have to say that this Raw sucked. Shawn Micheals turning made it better, but it still sucked.
-
I missed the segment, what happened? Chavo changed his name or something?

I predict this will be a bad week for my fantasy team. I wonder if those injuries they say HHH has are kayfabe or not, because that could affect when he returns.

Brian Gewirtz leaves WWE writing team
AlaskanHero replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I'd say Russo helped with saving WWE. Vince did the writing, McMahon kept him in control for the most part, and Austin ended up being wildly successful in addition to having a large cast of charismatic characters to work with. It took a combined effort of a writer, Vince, and workers to make the Attitude Era successful. Oh and a shitload of luck. Can't forget about that. Eventually there'll be another boom, as it does move in cycles (The parallel to now is the post-Hogan era, pushing guys with gimmicks that were successful, going back to old ideas, and having a dominant backstage politician who really isn't helping things), the question is when the cycle will return to the boom, as there's no guarentee that WWE will still exist to take advantage of it. Now to get back on topic. Honestly I can't bring myself to care about Gewirtz leaving. He's only one guy on a writing team that consists of people just like him. Just less funny. -
What do you think about me? This is probably the first time you've become aware of my existance..

RAW Jindrak: Chris Masters has a tag partner now. Or at least some one to feud against over who has the best body. And didn't people say they wanted him in Evolution? Sure, why not, stick him with HHH and Flair. Rene Dupree: Since Rene is still representing Franch and Conway is a French Sympathizer representing Quebec, I don't think they're pair them back up, but this is WWE so odds are we'll see them together very soon. Danny Basham: I've heard good things about the two as singles competitors. Maybe they'll get a chance to show off some of this skill. Kenzo Suzuki (with Hiroko): Maybe he and Rene will team back up again. Hell, maybe him and Tajiri will be paired together. Why the hell not? Chavo Guerrero: This one is pretty damn confusing. I guess the Mexicools will be focusing their wrath upon London instead. Chavo will probably flounder for a while before being paired with someone and getting a tag title reign. SmackDown! William Regal: This sorta takes away anyone for Eugene to turn on. Candice: Well, she is eye candy. Might as well stick her with the rest of the eye candy. Sylvain Grenier: Yeah...he's doomed. Simon Dean: Like Exslade said, in kayfabe, Simon Dean and Nova aren't the same person so he'll probably just be doing the same thing he was doing on Raw. Are there any fat people on Smackdown? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Steven Richards: They'll probably bring up the Blue Meanie/JBL next Smackdown. It'll set up a match and one of two things happens. 1.] JBL squashes Richards (most likely) or 2.] Batista (or Simon Dean) comes out, does some hi-jinks, and costs JBL the match. Pick the one that'll help you sleep at night.

About the Eddie/Rey thing, what's to say Rey couldn't get the job done when it came to getting his wife pregnant? They've been pushing how close Eddie and Rey were, how they were like brothers. So maybe Rey needed Eddie so he could have a child. They'll probably do something to explain how he got a daughter. That's fucking stupid, isn't it?
-
Ahh, yes, I remember that now. But I though Noble said in an interview that he pretty much "forced the WWE's hand" by filing the claim. I thought he did it on purpose, to suffer the consequences of doing something wrong.
