  1. I think what he meant is that the guys were boring and ordinary as people and weren't the kind of people you'd think could book to appeal to the big demographic of 18-25 males.

The OAO RAW Thread - 5/16/05

I think it was against the Hurricane and Rosey. Anyways, Exslade, you're fighting a pointless battle. If HHH wins, everyone says he's holding people down. If he loses, then it's "handing out jobs like it's candy" or jobbing just so he can get out of a job later. The man cannot do any good to some of the people here. Hell, some people (note the word "some") make HHH look more evil than Satan. Personally, I don't think Benoit was really hurt or buried by HHH during his title reign. He still gets loud reactions. If he were to win the World Title, he'd be a credible champion. He hasn't been buried. Jericho was buried. Booker T was buried. Benoit is just fine, probably doing a small bit better than before his match at Wrestlemania XX. I know that I give more of a damn about Benoit now than I did before him moving to Raw or winning the World Title. Besides, it's not like anyone is really going to remember his short feud with Kane or Orton. Hell, not many will even remember the match at Backlash. In 10 or 20 years, are any of you really going to look back on Benoit and only nitpick about how he was the #2 Focus on Raw or are you more likely to remember the sight of Benoit making HHH tap at Wrestlemania XX?

    Things that seemingly everyone hated

Mask-less Rey Mysterio and the Filthy Animals. From what I know most people didn't like Rey without his mask, but it was this period of time that I really got into him as a character and worker. The No-Limit Soldiers weren't that bad in my eyes, but I wasn't on the internet at that time, so I dunno how every took to them. JR and the King. WWE does tend to brainwash it's fans. When Paul Heyman took over the King's spot, it felt ackward to me. Even if he was good, I was used to the King yelling about puppies and what not. Oh and this may get my Smark Card revoked, but I thought the Katie Vick storyline wasn't all that bad.

    HHH injured neck, collapses

I understand why people are happy why HHH might have been taken out for an extended period of time, but damn, it doesn't make it right. With that said, I am slightly disappointed that Triple H won't have to take some time off. I think no HHH would be a little refreshing, at least for a while. Give another heel a chance to run with the ball for a little. I think, had Rosey taken out HHH for like a year, some guys would probably be offering sacrifces to him and masturbating to his image.

    Matt Hardy released

Wow, ain't that some stuff. This sorta came out of left field, but oh well. Shit happens. But wow, Lita did end up messing up Matt's life. I wonder how the guys backstage are feeling about both Rhyno and Matt's releases? And on a side-note, I really wanna kick some of people at Matt Hardy's message board right in the overies. Just 'cuz.

    Sonic or Mario

Yeah, Bowser was something that confused me too. Is he King Koopa? Or are they two different people? And if they're different, then does that mean that Bowser killed King Koopa or what? And when exactly did Bowser take over? What game was he first mentioned in?

Cookie - Monster = Goodbye childhood memories...

They're taking away Cookie Monster's cookies now. Oscar's not a grouch now. Are Bert and Ernie no longer an ambigously gay couple? Or did they come out of the closet yet? It looks like the Sesame Street I knew is long gone. A pity. However as long as they leave Reading Rainbow alone, I won't have to fuck someone up.

    Sonic or Mario

I picked Mario. Both of them are great, but I prefer Mario over Sonic. Though I will say that Mario's overall storyline makes no sense to me.

    Vince McMahon Interview

Actually RRR he tore one quad when he banged his knee against the apron when sliding into the ring at Royal Rumble then tore the other attempting to stand up after getting into the ring. The rest is valid.

I've Been Out Of The Loop For A Few Years...

A new guy I like, is Eugene. His gimmick hurts him in ring (he's a retard, literally), but he makes up for it with his funny antics. At least for me, he makes it up with his antics. William Regal did a good job in his role and Nick Dinsmore did a good job in being a mentally handicapped person.

    Four years ago tonight...

Seeing Vince on Nitro was incredible, especially since I knew nothing about it. However, after that I remember very little from that last Nitro. Sting and Flair's embrace in the middle of the ring stands out, so does seeing Shane coming out on Nitro and being able to see it happening on both shows. So, what happened on that night's Raw?

    John Cena copying Jadakiss...

The sheer whiteness of this thread is very entertaining.

    Orton's RAW promo

Well, yeah, that's about sums it up. Although, I'm all for giving Batista the ball to run with for a while. I like when risks are taken and new people (not just younger guys) are allowed to get a chance to shine.

    Orton's RAW promo

Now, I like the Undertaker, I'm a big fan of his. Even after hearing that he holds nearly everybody down. I still love the guy and his character. I recognize the fact that the streak is one of the few things in the WWE that could give someone a much needed rub and push them to a credible Main Eventer level. So after saying that I say that Orton NEEDS this win. Let's say Taker wins. His streak is extended to 13-0. Well, in doing that Orton gets buried as he couldn't kill the legend of the Undertaker nor could he beat a 47-year old guy. Makes Orton look bad even though the Undertaker is the Undertaker. Yes, Orton isn't setting the world on fire right now when it comes to reaction, but Mick Foley wasn't exactly a heat magnet either when he walked into Hell in a Cell that night against Taker (yes, that comparison is a large stretch). A win could get the ball rolling in the right direction. And how is Orton a "never-will-be"? The man is 25! He's still young, not even at his prime yet. Depending on how he takes care of himself, Orton probably has another 25+ years to look forward to. Shit, I could say any of you are never going to be worth a shit in whatever industry you're in because you're not the greatest at it right now, but that doesn't mean I'm right. All we can really do is give Orton another one to three years. If he hasn't improved in that time, then I'll agree that he is a "Never-Will-Be" (however, if he does prove to be a bust, the E will hopefully have given up on him by that point). Besides, wasn't Ric Flair in his 30s when he was having 5 Star classics with Ricky Steamboat? Heh, I'm not even all that much of a fan of Orton and personally I'd like to see someone like Shelton Benjamin or Rey Mysterio Jr. (hey, I can dream) end the streak, but hey if the WWE and Taker are willing to give him this kind of rub then I might as well just see where this leads. I mean, Rocky Maivia didn't turn into the Rock over night (well, he sorta did, but that's beside the point), so who knows? Maybe he will become the next "Boom Messiah" and lead the WWE as the future.

Markish impressions you had as a youth

I thought that Undertaker was afraid of Bret Hart because he had never really beaten him, but didn't fear Sid because Sid was his bitch. I also thought that Goldust killed Brian Pillman. Seriously.

Inducting Hulk Hogan Into the WWE Hall of Fame...

By this point, Vince Sr. is probably spinning faster than an F-5 tornado. Anyways, I guess this is a good idea as it could get some mainstream interest and maybe a few more buys from the casual fans.

    Nikolai Volkoffs HOF speech

I want to see Randy Orton run in during someone's speech and RKO everyone there. The inductees, the presenters, Vince, any people watching, everyone there. Then when everyone is out cold and he's standing over their fallen bodies, he does his pose while his theme music plays. I would find that very entertaining.

    Who said it?

This one is CM Punk, I think. He said it to Raven, right?

    The Lurker Call-out Thread

I prefer watching everyone's antics instead of joining in. You all entertain me. That and I usually don't feel like speaking, so fuck it.

    JBL after Mania?

If JBL loses the title, I'd like to see the bottom just completely drop from under him. Make him lose the Cabinet, his limo, his money, everything. As much as I like the JBL character, I just think it would be funny to see JBL begging someone he cheated for money. You know, in a mean kind of way.

    GTA: San Andreas

I beat GTA about two weeks ago. I thought the ending was kinda disappointing after what you had to go through to get there.

Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting

If this is true, I wonder why he settled for Lita. I mean, yeah like Vyce said she's a dirty whore and probably willing to do anything, but there are all those random girls in the locker room. You'd think the odds of there being another dirty whore in the locker room would be pretty damn high about now.

Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting

PWTorch said it was Edge. Wow. Edge? That's kinda out of left field. Shit, the road must be REAL lonely if Edge is reduced to banging Lita. You'd think WWE would have the best ring rats money could buy for their top-tier workers.

Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting

So....who did Lita cheat with? Shannon Moore? Should we start a betting pool on who it was?

    Wrestlemania 21

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what this means. What does "pushing for the title" mean? Does that mean they all think they deserve the belt and want to go after it? Or does that mean they think the belt should get more spotlighted? If so, how is this any different from the last two WMs, where the belt has been defended both times? It means that they (Eddie, Chavo, and Rey) have been pushing for Paul London to get a bigger role in the Cruiserweight division since early 2004. I can't argue with that logic.
