And despite having the 32nd ranked offense in the league, the Bengals have not fired OC Bob Bratkowski yet. Odds are they won't. My hopes for success next season quite honestly revolve around this man being fired and replaced and the drafting of a franchise left tackle and center.

Doesn't this mean Hernandez is the champion now since titles can change hand via DQ in TNA? I guess they forgot about that.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy
AlaskanHero replied to Promoter's topic in The WWE Folder
The Orton/Rhodes/Dibiase/Smith group does sound a great deal stronger than the one with Manu and Sim in it. Though you'd at least think DH would try and bring Nattie along with him. She is second generation after all, and if she was good enough to be this New Hart Foundation's valet, she could be at the very least Smith's valet. -
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that Shane was great. If he can work, he could probably be a star.

Damn, and I paid like $40 for a four year subscription or something. I'm never gonna see that money again, am I?

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
AlaskanHero replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
And as described by Meltzer directly after the statement, proof positive they won't even think of turning Cena or changing his gimmick any time soon. How much longer can they keep this up for, though? If the average kid buying his stuff/getting their parents to buy his stuff is around 8 years old, Cena can feasibly remain the exact same character he is now for the next 5-6 years. My guess is the children will turn on him completely in 3-4 years and WWE will keep him as is for the next 7-8 years. -
With Goldberg. And Bret Hart.

Wanderlei got a lot of offers as well. Geru and Jorge remain jobless.

I've played as a veritable saint and things have worked out rather well for me. Lots of ammo, caps, and badass weaponry. My suggestion is collect lots of raider armor, then start repairing it to up it's value. Same with guns. Though Super Mutants tend to drop Assault Rifles in pretty good shape that sell for a good amount. Next play through I'm gonna be an evil dick though. Where is the Brotherhood of Steel HQ? I've been dicking around the downtown DC area and now I want to be able to equip some Power Armor. Oh and seriously, fuck those goddamn ants. I go into the quest at level 10 or so, with lots of ammo, stimpacks, food and full health. I end up with no ammo for any of my guns, no food, no stimpacks, one single bar/sliver of health, and addicted to Buffout. Fuck that quest and the little kid. And since I didn't help the kid after the quest, I got Three Dog bitching at me over the radio.

Isn't Low Ki's Japanese schedule what caused TNA to make Triple X in the first place?
-
If they were smart, they'd add him to the announcing crew. So odds are he's done with TNA.

Just out of curiosity did anyone decide to ? I considered it for a good while and will probably do it if I do another playthrough.

The Time Is Now... to Change Cena's Theme
AlaskanHero replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in The WWE Folder
I was wondering when something like this would happen. That said, Cena could probably do with a change of theme, though not Basic Thugonomics. As much as I like the theme, that would feel like a step back. -
I believe someone (I forget who exactly, maybe Mama Patrelli?) said Peter needed it to figure out what to do to change the future from the whole "Everyone gets powers and the world ends" thing.

Lance Cade gets future endeavor'd
AlaskanHero replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
And Paul London survives another day. I am amazed that someone who offered as little as Cade did lasted as long as he did. I mean, yeah, Snitsky is a shitty wrestler, but he's at least big and moderately "intriguing" to look at, just because of his teeth and how out of control his bacne is getting. Cade showed nothing but the ability to be serviceable and amazingly generic. That said, a change of scenery would do him some good. -
As one of the few (only?) Bengal fans to occasionally post in these weekly threads, I am curious as to how Cincy is perceived to be a "circus". I mean, I'm not saying any of you are wrong, I mostly ask because there's a fair bit of optimism about the team from what I can see, at least concerning this week. Our young defense held up very well against the defending Super Bowl champs, holding Brandon Jacobs to a 2.5 yard rushing average and our offense showed a bit of life with Carson Palmer throwing for nearly 300 yards behind an o-line that hasn't been playing very well.

I said they were dumb, and they were. If you imply a guy is going to be there, and he isn't, you're basically saying fuck the fans. Which isn't something you don't want to do, to people who paid 30 bucks, believing they was going to see the official debut of one of the biggest stars in the business. It was dumb, nobody should be defending TNA for this bullshit either, it was a dumbass move on TNA's part. Ahh, I don't really go to the TNA website, where I assume that's from, so I didn't see it. Either way, to me, if they really wanted to imply that Foley would be there, they would do more than post a picture on their website that not many people go to.
-
I don't exactly remember them implying that Foley would be at No Surrender. Did they allude to it during an episode of Impact and I just missed it or what?

PJB wins over Rock and Rave in the first match. And that powerbomb did not look good at all.

Followed the Bengals/Ravens game on the Bengals message board. Yeaaaah, lot of suicidal folks there. But they've handed out blame already for the teams (predicted) 0-16 record. Top of the list is a four-way jockey between the O-Line, the O-Coordinator, Marvin Lewis, and Mike Brown. Can't really rag on the D too much though. From what I was able to see, they did a good job. Especially considering how tired they had to be from the offense being unable to move the ball and stay on the field. Nonetheless, I'm not expecting good things this season since it only gets rougher from here.
-
All of his equipment is upgraded at the moment, but yeah, I assume I'll need that much for equipment once he hits 32.
-
I really, really don't want to watch Jets/Dolphins. There must be a free way for me to watch Bengals/Ravens somewhere on the internet.
-
Well, I used the Flex Points I did have to boost Wanderlei and was able to upgrade two of his pieces of equipment. I'll need 100k for the rest, but I'm in no rush.
-
My CB could use an increase in pay to help with his equipment costs. My QB could too, but I'd give the cash to others before him since he doesn't really need it at the moment. Also, my level 10 Center is sitting at home, unemployed, so take a look at him if interested. Eddy Munoz is his name.
