My thoughts exactly. We were just bashing DVDR for making stupid, outlandish statements, now there's people in this thread actually claiming Cena is the best worker in the world.

Well, Cena probably is the best worker on Raw given how horrible the roster is. Although you could make a strong case that Matt Hardy and Shelton are better, they just aren't given the time to put on good matches.

Cena isn't even the best wrestler on Raw. Mark Henry is awful and Shawn Michaels isn't great at all.

To say he's actually been over enough to main event is blinded mark ignorance. He definately has - watch the SummerSlam match w/ Benoit as an example. The guy was getting over that whole spring into the summer, part in thanks to Foley's rub. I'll restate I'm far from an Orton fan, but there wasn't question that the guy was making waves around that time as an over heel. And then came the out of the blue face turn the next night (which clearly was premature at best, anyone should be able to see that), and subsequent HHH feud, which certainly put him down a peg or two in the fans' eyes. Again, some of you guys' opinions here are very closeminded. I'm not saying the guy is great or anything, but it can't be denied that he COULD get over under the right circumstances and HAS before. Also, regarding that rumor of someone leaving, I havent seen any indication of that from Meltz anywhere, and he himself even debunked a rumor going around apparently that he reported Orton is leaving, which I'm not sure is the same post in question here. Orton was getting scattered pops at his most over. Hardly anything resembling main event heat, and I think it's pretty much agreed upon that the fans attending SummerSlam that year simply wanted attention and cared very little about the show (and even then the Orton chants were scattered and inconsistent). Orton was never over at a level someone with his push should be. Before, during or after the Foley fued. I think you're just so used to seeing him pushed that you automatically assume he has to have some reason to be. And I'm actually embarrassed I got that Singing in the Rain reference, but yeah, I agree, he lacks any real talent or heat. His apparent 4 star matches with Benoit were pretty boring, and that was entirely because of Orton.

Angle vs Michaels is an awesome match, I'd have no problem seeing another one, and Edge as WWE Champion vs Christian as NWA Champion would be a great story. Great promos too. The last Angle-Michaels match on Raw was pretty mediocre, and both matches have been done to death. Most of the big names in TNA have already been in WWE not too long ago, and most, like Christian, Rhino and Jarrett, were midcarders. The only actual dream matches with the potential to make money would involve Sting. TNA never had a fanbase like WCW did, so a lot of the older TNA fans wouldn't start watching WWE again, because TNA's current fanbase is pretty much all they ever had. This isn't like WCW where they used to have a big audience and their stars were almost household names at one point, this is a company that is smaller than ECW was (in terms of fanbase).

No. HHH wasn't over initially during his main event push, but he certainly was by early 2000 which was less than a year after his big turn at Wrestlemania XV. Orton has been getting heavily pushed since 2003 and still isn't over. There is a big difference between ten months and 3 1/2 years. So are you saying Randy Orton was never over? If thats what you are trying to saying, then you clearly don't know what are you talking about. He was over for a bit in 2004 during the Foley feud and immediately after but he couldn't sustain it. Even then it was closer to HHH in July 1999 than HHH in February 2000. Since his abysmal title run, he's been nowhere near over enough for his position on the show. He was also over during his feuds with The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio. Not really, no.

Except Hogan's last WWE title run sank ratings...

I'm not completely clear on the Hall incident, but if it was over jobbing to him, then that makes sense because just about everybody knew he wouldn't last long (which he didn't). Jobbing to Lesnar on free TV made absolutely no sense whatsoever and the JR/Coach fiasco was a complete waste of time. Austin isn't an idiot, unlike the "creative" team.

Since PW.com is one of those, it should be credible to you. If not, then you are undermining your own argument. Furthermore, my stat was provided by 3 references, not one. If you know anything about peer-review, you would know that 3 sources agreeing is far more credible than 1. I didn't say I believed PW.com by itself, but if that stat is quoted in several other documents and there are no discrepancies, then it is far more likely to be valid than the reportings of just one person. PW.com also uses sources I don't take seriously, like The Torch. And according to your failed attempt at logic, I could start a website, get two others to start their own, and we can all report that robrabies is a moron. And of course, it would be fact, because three different sources agree that you are indeed, a moron. Meltzer is probably the credible independent news source in all of wrestling, hence why he was interviewed on shows like Donahue during the steroid scandal and appeared on the A&E special on wrestling, so I'll take his word over countless "newz" sites that are probably run by kids in your grade 10 class.
