If anything bothers me about scorecard decisions, it's when the guy that makes the "Shit, I lost..." body motions is declared the winner. It made me feel awkward about the outcomes in the Bisping-Hamill and Rampage-Forrest matches. The fighters that rely on the "66% Balls Out, 33% Backpedal" strategy ruin scorecard judging. Maybe a more aggressive penalty system for unwillingness to engage would cure that.

Also, judges make their decision on the overall match rather than a round-by-round scorecard. Hence, a fighter that was beaten by a small margin in the first 2 rounds can still win a decision by dominating the final round.

Still feels good to be on the right side of a slaughter for a change.

I disagree with Byrd for scoring round 1 for Forrest. The leg kicks were effective, but he almost got laid out near the end of the round. My scorecard most closely mirrored Nelson Hamilton's. I thought round 3 was more of a coinflip as neither Forrest nor Rampage really did anything, so I'm a bit surprised that all three gave the round to Forrest. It's going to be interesting to see who gets tapped as his Forrest's first defense. I don't think Dana would dare pull the trigger on Lyoto-Forrest, but if anybody can come up with a game plan to stop Machida, I'd think Forrest could somehow pull it off. However if Forrest fails, I don't think I could stomach months of Las Vegas shitting over Lyoto's hit and away style.

Next team looks like it got gutted, so we might be able to run up the score. If we don't win, damn...

People that expected to be waited on hand and foot in a busy sitdown restaurant can go suck it. My girlfriend and I went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It's a pretty packed house and we waited for about 15 minutes to sit, which I thought was surprisingly quick. We got seated next to a group of heavy-set folks. The woman in the group asks for a slice of cheesecake while the waitress taking our order and then yells out "EXCUSE ME! I'd like this pie NOW!" I'm thinking "Bitch...she is taking somebody else's order. You need to just chill." So we finish up ordering and the waitress turns around and just gets unnecessarily tongue-lashed about how unprofessional she's being. Seriously? Is the waitress being the unprofessional here, ma'am? And after all that, her party only tipped the poor girl $5 on an $80 meal. We tipped $15 on our $50 meal out of sheer sympathy.

I have a feeling that we're going to have a really stormy season unless one of our MIAs comes back and helps bring back the firepower.
