It's a solid collection of games especially if it's $15 like the previous SNK Collection/Anthology games. My only gripe is that the games on the SNK Collection overlap each other. I would've like to have seen a game like 3 Count Bout or Super Spy for something different, but the low price tag is enough of an incentive to still pick it up.

If you look at all the shows that have paid homage to Speed Racer, you realize that it was campy as all hell. Long winded monologues of exposition, the same freakout animation whenever Speed lost control of his car, and a friggin' monkey; how do you not make a movie that doesn't have a cheesy feel to it and in the same spirit of the show?

I think it's a matter of how good you feel with the fighting system. FPR's system is practically all timing and recognizing animations; button mashing will get you nowhere. If you can enjoy that aspect, I think you'll be fine. Plus the game is already cheap at $15 new, so it's not a big deal if the game doesn't light your world on fire.
