  1. Looks like Nova will have Ohio State, BC, Florida, and Georgetown in their bracket.
  2. Seton Hall gets in as does Air Force. UNC is a 3 seed, they could get to the Elite Eight.
  3. Ooh UK-UAB in round one, could UAB beat them again? Huskies a 5 seed, Utah State gets in.
  4. I like UCLA out of the Oakland region. This looks really good for Nova as they're avoiding UCLA and Texas in their regional.
  5. UCLA got a real good draw with the 2 seed in Oakland.
  6. Bucknell could upset Memphis in round 2. Pitt could definitely beat Memphis in the Sweet 16 as well.
  7. Nah, Alford is going to find a way to blow it. If WVU can get hot, I could see them beating Iowa in the second round.
  8. Texas is actually healthy now, I could see them beating Duke this time. I'm actually really happy that Texas isn't in Nova's bracket.
  9. WVU is the 6 seed, if they don't shoot well, they could get beat by S. Illinois.
  10. Texas gets the 2 seed in Atlanta, they better be actually ready for Duke this time.
  11. DAMN, GW got knocked down bad.
  12. If OSU had beaten Iowa, he would've went off about Memphis getting the 1 seed.
  13. I fucking hate Packer.
  14. Memphis got the 4th #1 seed. Oh yeah and fuck you Lavin and Gottlieb for your anti-Nova campaign. Nova-UConn III will be awesome if it happens in the Final Four.
  15. That whole video package reminded me why I hate Jim Nantz's pun-filled calls so much. Oh yeah and the Nova-ODU game from 1995 reminded me why Steve Lappas no longer coaches college basketball.
  16. I'm pulling for the schools that I applied to for next year/got accepted to: Nova, Syracuse, and WVU. Iowa could make a run since they're a senior-laden team, but I don't trust Alford coaching. If he wasn't an IU alum he would not even be in the conversation as the next coach at Indiana.
  17. Yeah, I heard that. He also used that reasoning to explain why the MVC didn't deserve all the bids people are saying they should get. He probably doesn't think they should get any more than the automatic bid. If Packer was running the selection committee, you'd probably see every single team from the 6 power conferences that was eligible for postseason play getting a bid. Fucking elitist. And every ACC team would be getting a bid as well, eligible or not.
  18. Packer is still bitter about St. Joseph's 2 years ago and Martelli going off on him. 2Gold, I have to agree with you about Chaney. Ever since that Ingram episode last year against St. Joe's, it just seems that he's seriously needed to retire. I also heard that he wasn't too happy about Temple joining the MAC for football because of the agreement that Temple basketball would play some MAC teams as well, since then Chaney wouldn't be able to make his usual gauntlet of a schedule.
  19. If that's true, Temple goes from a school I don't like to a school I REALLY don't like. I'd be happy if Huggins never got another job. I talked to John on more than one occasion and he was actually extremely pleasant and nice to me. Course I always addressed him as Mr. Chaney. One thing I realized about him is if you even mildly try to get on his bad side, you get on his REALLY bad side. He doesn't have a slightly annoyed side. He's either a pleasant interview or pissed off to the point you think he's going to gut you. My poor intern never came back after making that call. A good example of this is every year at Christmas time, Chaney goes on CSN and just goes off on a variety of subjects. He tends to get real pissed at Michael Barkann when Barkann disagrees with him on a subject or two that he talks about.
  20. If that's true, Temple goes from a school I don't like to a school I REALLY don't like. I'd be happy if Huggins never got another job. It would make sense for Temple, considering they've always played the physical game, they could really make themselves the black sheep of the Big Five if it happened. The ensuing Martelli-Huggins feud would be worth it as well...
  21. On the Eagles radio show, Spadaro was nearly about to have a meltdown due to fans calling in and complaining about the Eagles' front office being inactive in the FA period so far. High comedy...
  22. There's been rumors that John Chaney is retiring and that a group of wealthy Temple alums have a deal in place to get Bob Huggins in as the next Temple coach FWIW.
  23. Gottlieb is a fucking idiot, there is no way that Memphis should be above Nova in the seedings. Steve Lavin keeps whoring off the Nova loss to Texas as his reason for making them (Texas) a 1 seed. I guess he has tunnel vision, cause I think he's still ignoring the OK State blowout loss. He also said that Nova lost their first game in the Big East tournament, I guess he missed the Rutgers game. There is no way Memphis or Texas should be above Nova, especially considering Texas' blowout loss to OK State and Memphis' weak conference (If Memphis was in the Big East playing Nova's schedule, they would not be in the top 4 of the conference, while Nova would likely run the table quite easily in C-USA.)
  24. Gottlieb is a fucking idiot, there is no way that Memphis should be above Nova in the seedings.
  25. Mark Eckel originally reported this, now he can move on to his annual "Sign Kevin Johnson" crusade...
