As exhibited by the fact that none of these kids in these 'Save the Children' promos at least to this point, have been black, even though the highest poverty rate is still among black people. Of course, I haven't seen the rest of the clips during the show..but I'll just go with the assumption that American Idol hates black people! Where's Kanye at?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=mkeawhiMqME I suppose as a continuation of the idiots in Wisconsin....how about some of the idiots in Florida. They wanted it to be seen, and now it has, and hopefully they're all taking some kind of punishment for it. Evidently the big thing is whether they should be tried as adults or not. And whenever that comes up, I can't help but think about the kid who was put in jail for doing the wrestling move on the girl, and really, that being an accident was that any worse then this? Thoughts on the video personally, they say she was knocked unconscious previously, so maybe she was out of it (Although she seemed to be at least fairly coherent...) but I don't see how/why she didn't do anything at all to prevent the beating. She didn't swing once, did grab a weapon and stop them, and while she tried going to the door, and was stopped, surely that wasn't the only door in the house, or room even. So the whole beating just baffles me, but that still doesn't stop it from being pretty ridiculous, and just fucked up.

Too bad he's not getting paid for it. In kayfabe. and that tree of woe dropkick looked nasty.
-
@ Colin's video being just clips of him getting his ass kicked, and a bandaid. And no, he didn't get any coveted entrance music.

Hey, decent promo showing by Layla there. although for some reason she looked a lot older.

Am I the only one who's noticed the incredibly weird/crablike way Domino's holding his hand? unless that was just him selling the arm work from early on, but still, looks really weird.
-
Oh no.... A replacement for Rosie/Trump? Barack/Hilary? .....WTF. New tights for Hawkins/Ryder. Ryder's looks incredibly jobberish. edit- Who the hell is this? Deacon Batista? Pretty weird to just introduce him out of nowhere...

Yea, but why put Punk/Benjamin in just a waste of a random match? (Even if it would be good) Unless you mean to build to a match at Backlash, but even then...really... Plus, didn't they do that last week? With a Benjamin/Chavo tag match?

Morrison is wearing a really sweet fuckin jacket.

I didn't really like Chicago at all. I barely, remember much of that season. And of course, I think the rating would have more to do with the 9/11 thing then the actual cast itself. (Even though that doesn't speak for the finale) The only people I remember finding entertaining that season were Theo and Aneesa. Aneesa because she was just an off the wall crazy lesbian, and Theo, was just the "cool guy" that season, and would put people in their place when they talked shit to him. And while I have enjoyed Tonya on all of the challenges, during her season she was pretty boring. And was as I recall, was just the "Girl from Walla Walla with kidney stones." Not really much else to her. Until she broke out of her shell in later shows. But Chris, Cara, Keri, Kyle? Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I've seen the Real World Awards recently and they were up there, I wouldn't have remembered them. (With the exception of Kyle, who I forgot completely and it wasn't until I just looked at cast bios that I remembered him)

Because every other team on the roster that just wrestles gets virtually zero reaction? Cryme Tyme got almost no reaction this week for their backstage skit. Their "Money, money" chant got a bigger reaction then say, Hardcore Holly has, in like...forever. And he's a tag champ.

yea, I assumed, and also see it was just confirmed, it was just Batista setting up a match. And I see whoever asked for it, gets there wish with Regal. And also settles that he's not full blown heel, but rather, in the fair role. H, gets the jobber entrance this time around.
-
It's amazing to think just a few Summerslams ago Jericho and Batista were fighting for that title...along with Edge. and of course, now, Edge is a recent, former World champion. and Batista is...well Batista. And Jericho... is in essentially the exact same spot.

Man WWE.com is fast. They had a headline of Phoenix winning just seconds after it happened. Granted, it's not a picture from tonight, but still

I think he does a pretty fine job. And I also don't really see him as an in ring competitor. I think Finlay's got that old man wrestler spot filled right now haha. (Although, due to Flair there may be an opening.) I just wouldn't see him going anywhere other then random feuds.

what an interesting finisher.

Cantino has a ring to it as well.
-
I think Cena's too much of a good guy, (with his charity work and stuff) to really do the heel thing to it's fullest at this point.
-
I love how the joke seemed to completely go over the crowds head.
-
With good reason though. They aren't really going to bring back anyone who's not gonna cause some drama or, who isn't 'ratings worthy'. Plus, I only count 5. Looking at the cast list most of which I don't even remember. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Johnnie. His partnership with Tonya was pretty funny. Although, that could have been because it was Tonya.

I miss Mickie's skirts.

Because there are worse on the roster? edit- And Umaga totally just did the Akon yell.
-
Considering he has nothing to lose....that's a pretty sweet ass deal for Trips.

Which is probably why they stopped doing Road Rules. It was canceled for a while, and pretty much has been for a few years, with the exception of that one season which was "Interactive" which was like a year a two ago. And we all know that was just because they needed new cast members for the challenges.
