This is the one objection I have to the fan voting format. Bad choices I can excuse because you get that no matter what group you let choose the players. But there really needs to be separate distinctions between left, center and right fielders.

That's obviously true but I thought the All-Star game was about rewarding players having the best seasons to this point. Pujols struggled out the gate and Prince is putting up great numbers. It's not. It's about producing an exhibition featuring the game's greatest players. You determine that by looking at their recent body of work, but you don't limit that to two or three months because small samples will distort who the best players are. As for this season, Pujols leads Fielder right now in win shares, 15 to 14. Pujols comes out ahead because he can field and he's hitting extremely well in clutch situations. Fielder's the starter in an All-Star game because he was better in May of 2007? That's ridiculous.

Oy. I like Prince Fielder, but this is one of those situations where a guy's having a hot couple of months. Fielder is not better than Albert Pujols.

Paying off credit card debt seems obvious. You won't pay as much interest, so you'll have MORE money down the road.

Ultimately, the big problem with the angle is that no one buys that Vince is truly dead. It makes everyone involved look foolish.

That show was awful. The one interesting angle they could pull out of this is a struggle for power. Even beyond that I have no moral qualms about the angle, I'm simply not interested in it any longer.

Take guys like Sting, Vader, Ric Flair, Goldberg, the Steiners, Dallas Page, Ron Simmons, etc., and give them a short segment and 2-3 matches apiece. They could put the '92 Wargames on there, Flair/Vader from Starrcade, Steiners vs. Sting/Luger, Steamboat/Rhodes vs. Anderson/Zbyszko, etc.

Heck, why not show JR in the shower as a wink to the audience if we're going this route?

His wrestling skills are solid enough presently but scouts worry that his clothesline is too long and big-league wrestlers can make him swing and miss with it too often. As a manager, Daivari could not handle the Great Khali and one of my correspondents says, "how can he manager when he can't even manage him?" Yeah, I've since fired that guy. 8. His father Steven was a big star in World Championship Wrestling last century, and if William can tap into those bloodlines he can go far. 10. Smackdown selects Victoria I'm going to dip into serious mode here a second. Melina is the top ladies' heel on Raw. Allowing Victoria to move to Smackdown where she can fill the same role is beneficial for all involved. 11. Raw selects Jillian Hall This is why ECW skipped, because you can find better talent on the indies. Remember when we heard WCW was hiring 10-20 women and we all laughed at the utter stupidity? For guys who criticize the wrestling product (not to lump you in), you guys are spending four hours of your day reloading a web page to see what JTTS's are moving from one show to another. Think about that a moment. I hardly consider Ken Kennedy and Bobby Lashley JTTS. Plus with the movements, you can create a scenario where someone like Ken Dykstra gets over on SD and gets pushed as a result. Or hell, Snitsky gets over again. People follow the draft for the same reason they follow the legitimate sports drafts, to see what, if any, improvements are made to their favorite team/brand. There's clearly a difference between the importance of the Raw draft and this one. The Raw draft, after all, could only occur in a city as important as Wilkes-Barre.
