I'm not worried about momentum, but it would have taken just one home win to get Sabathia the ball in game five.
-
This game isn't over yet though. The Phillies at times get leads but slowly let the other team back in. If they get an opportunity to score later on, they need to pile on.

FUCK YEAH! Victorino~!
-
And Victorino with a quick steal. One thing that absolutely amazes me about this club is their ability to steal bases. Rollins stole 47 in 50 attempts. Jayson Werth went 20 for 21. Utley stole 14 of 16. They rarely get caught.

Thank you Corey Hart. Brett Myers was lucky to escape with only a run of damage.

Backlund/Studd is a nice little match. Backlund was a good opponent for Studd. His mat wrestling offense meant that Studd did not need to bump much. The Philadelphia Spectrum closes its doors next year. It would be cool if 24/7 aired a couple cards next year in its honor. Summerslam '90 was held there, as well as a PPV so bad it shall not be named.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
Survivor Series '87 I think is an underrated show. The main event is good with Bam Bam fighting the odds. The ten man tag match is a lot of fun. And the womens' match becomes a showcase for the Jumping Bomb Angels. -
Apologies.
-
The Yankees have to have beaten the Dodgers more than that, haven't they? Yeah, the Yankees have won 37 World Series games against the Dodgers.
-
Dear god, make the pain of Frank tv STOP. That guy sounded absolutely nothing like Morgan Freeman.

Someone needs to show Craig Sagar where the camera is.

I'd rather too many threads than too few. I think there are too many all-encompassing threads in sports. The posters regularly say no changes though, so there's not much to do.
-
I looked up the pitcher with the most walks in a game. Bill Bevens walked ten in his no-hit bid in 1947. Bevens lost the no-hitter, and the game, with two outs in the ninth.
-
That is debatable. You may make a comment on a movie I've recently seen as well and unless I scour the mega thread all the time I may miss it and that would kill off a potential discussion whereas bumping the old thread I could read through the prior comments and yours and either respond or make my own comment. Pictures I Like and those type of "What are you thinking" threads definitely can be a mega thread. I agree with this line of thinking. I'm not a fan of mega-threads.

What's this all about?
-
Last two appearances he's let 3+ runners on base before closing out the game. That happens. The problem is that this probably leaves him unavailable for tomorrow, or it compromises his effectiveness.

Since when did Met games involve relievers successfully earning saves? The Brewers were playing the role of the Mets almost perfectly. As I mentioned, the so called big names went down swinging. So hitters are supposed to easily hit pitchers with sub 2.00 ERAs?

I get home in time to catch the last inning. This is the important game, IMO. The Phillies can NOT allow the Brewers to take a non-Sabathia game against Hamels at home.
-
Some other great players looking for their first rings. Jim Thome (White Sox) Ken Griffey (White Sox) Vladimir Guerrero (Angels) Jason Bay (Red Sox) Chase Utley (Phillies) Jamie Moyer (Phillies) Matt Stairs (Phillies) C.C. Sabathia (Brewers) Jason Kendall (Brewers) Jeff Kent (Dodgers)

He was on the '95 Braves.

I hate those hats. They have the team name and '08 on the brim. The patch on the front is sewn on. I'm guessing they have the same hats and they can add the "Division Champs," "League Champs," etc. patches and keep reusing them. And they charge $25-35 apiece!

I don't know why people hate this team so much. The front office, yes. But some of the players like Gavin Floyd and Jim Thome and Ken Griffey are genuinely good people.
