  1. Actually Dames, CHRISTIAN won the battle royal. He retained, after a DQ loss, against Book at Bad Blood. They had a few TV matches with Book getting screwed, before he finally won on Raw. Then, Book got screwed up, and dropped it at a house show a couple of weeks before SummerSlam.
  2. Well, obviously. Don't worry though Fook - maybe some day you can meet me too! Just keep the faith.
  3. Anyway, I thought I'd give this whole fantasy booking thing a shot. There are a couple of good ones in this folder, so I guess I've got standards to live up to. Anyway, I'm going to be booking both SD and Raw, and it'll be started from now. I've another idea to start from this past SummerSlam, but this'll do for now. I've got it booked up (at least for Raw) until SummerSlam or so, so this could last a while. I know people are probably bored with yet another one of thesse things, but I think I could take it somewhere fun. NOTE: Like a couple of others here, this is an attempt at a realistic WWE. I will keep the same roster, same feuds, etc. I'll just take things in a different direction. Also, keep in mind that the first few shows could suck, as I have to stick with what WWE have given me. I appreciate feedback, good or bad. NOW LETS GET THIS THING STARTED, WOOO~!
  4. I think you're all missing the point here. I said "y'all can pay for me if you like". I even added the American term of 'y'all' just to fit in. And YET - no replies! No one has offered to pay for me! What's the deal guys?
  5. Some reason.... or THE reason? Oh yes. Conspiracy theory~! I'm not even gonna go there. Oh no. No sir.
  6. Yea, which is why they just added a face to the match. God forbid a heel vs heel match. Heel/Heel matches are hard to pull off the right way and I can't remember the last Heel/Heel match on PPV, the last i recall is HHH/Angle Rumble 01...which was a dead crowd and a dead match that was technically fine but just devoid of meaning. The last JBL/Angle match seemed fine to me. They're only hard to pull off because WWE is full of dumb shits. Now I go.
  7. Yea, which is why they just added a face to the match. God forbid a heel vs heel match.
  8. You know, a feud between Christian and Eddie would be fun. Oh a grand time it would be. Is Nunzio dead?
  9. Oh man. How fucking awesome was Christian's suit on Raw? That was the stuff of legends. I mean, really. Screw JBL and his damn cowboy hat. Christian's suit is the fucking shit (as the cool kids would say).
  10. Eh, it's OK. I'll be there - IN SPIRIT.
  11. Vengeance 2003 is a fun show that's worth picking up. My second favourite show of 2003 (behind WM19). The tag match is great, a MOTYC, the triple threat is very good, Benoit/Eddie was good, the APA Barroom thing is worth it JUST for Spanky's dancing, Taker/Cena is stiff and solid, and the other three matches are better than expected. Buy it. No Mercy 2002 is also decent. The tag match is, again, great and, IMO, the second best (WWE) match of 2002. The Brock/Taker match is really good, the cruiser match is fun, th opening tag is ddecent, and the rest doesn't matter. Buy it. I'm not completely sure what is on the Brock DVD, but I THINK it includes his match with Hogan, SS with Rocky, NM with Taker and WM with Angle amongst others. If you decide not to buy the NM DVD and don't own any of the others, I'd think it'd be worth buying. Unforgiven 2003 sucks. Pass on that. The Divas DVDs suck, though I've heard the Trish one is solid. Haven't seen Armageddon 2003, but heard it sucks. What you bought seems decent enough. You should have just got the Eddie DVD from somewhere instead of NWO. The only other worthwhile matches are Rey/Cena and the 3way, and they're only decent - good AT BEST. Armageddon 02 is KINDA watchable. The tag title match is fun, Benoit/Guerrero is pretty good... and that's about it. I'd say get Vengeance and No Mercy, and Brock's if you don't have all those matches. QUESTION to anyone who may know: What is on the Rock's 'Just Bring It' DVD, and the other one (Know Your Role?). I've heard conflicting reports on both.
  12. Damn right. Maybe y'all can chip in and fly me over? It just WOULDN'T be right without your old pal Dark Age at the show.
  13. Bingo. Is that REALLY a good thing? I also tune in for: 1. Chris Benoit 2. Paul London 3. Eddie Guerrero 4. Booker T 5. Edge 6. Christian 7. Batista And that's it. Booker and Eddie (though two of my favourite wrestlers) I don't care much about at all right now. I get my London fix from Velocity. The other four carry Raw on their backs. EDIT: Oh, and Shelton Benjamin.
  14. Wait. You and Curry actually KNOW each other?!? IN REAL LIFE?!? Anyway, I'd go. But it's Raw. And I don't live in Canada. I live in England. I'm not going. I guess you guys aren't going now? Because I'm not going? Right?
  15. A months long feud in which he jobbed THREE times on PPV to Jericho, with zero PPV wins in return. One defeat was as clean as you get in 'big' WWE matches. Jericho had Rock beat with the Walls Of Jericho, then Stephanie McMahon got involved. Distractions lead to a chair ending up in the ring, yet Jericho ends up with the victory, via the BreakDown. That's clean enough for me. Vengeance, Jericho was the heel. His entire heel run, he was put over as a joke. He wasn't MEANT to win matches clean. And he didn't need to - IF they would have done it right i.e Jericho cheating, but booked to look smart, do it on his own. That means winning like he did against Rock, not like he did against Austin. At Vengeance, Jericho beat Rock WITH HIS OWN MOVE. When does that ever happen? At Royal Rumble, Jericho's win was far from clean - but he done it on his own. The not-yet-named Un-Americans interfered, but didn't get the job done. Jericho looked doomed, but with the odds against him, pulled out the victory. He cheated, it wasn't clean - but it did A LOT more for Jericho than any other match in his heel run did. Jericho also pinned Rock in a Triple Threat title match on Raw. He also pinned him in two (maybe three) tag matches, one of which, again, with Rock's own move. That's six or seven pins Jericho registered on Rock in the space of about three months. And through it all, Jericho came out the champion AND with the last laugh on Rocky. In big matches, Jericho DOMINATED Rock. Rock's only victories came in a title match on Raw (in which Jericho beat the crap out of him after the match, drawing huge heel heat), which he only squeezed out with a small package, and in a couple of tag matches. You honestly think Rock's tag victories compare to Jericho's PPV title wins? No, they don't. Rock did more for Jericho than anyone else has in Jericho's entire WWE run. He put him over on three PPVs, made him look like a threat, didn't make him look like a joke. This all with Jericho as a heel, Rock as a face. How many other big matches has Jericho won? Well, he's jobbed three times to Triple H. Twice to Angle. Lost one to Kane, won once. Is 2-4 against Benoit. 0-2 against RVD. 2-2 against Austin (and if you want to complain about being made to look like a joke, look no further than Jericho's matches with Austin). 1-1 against Flair. 1-1 against Booker. 0-3 against Shawn. And yet through it all, you have the nerve to complain about how Jericho has been treated by ROCK?!? Jericho has been made to look like a joke. Rocky tried to give him credibility. What a fool you are. Undertaker hasn't put Brock over clean eight times, so just shut the fuck up. Taker's jobbed to Brock TWICE. One in HIAC with a 'broken' hand, and once with four different guys interfering, a steel chain, a ref bump and everything else it takes to beat him. TWICE he's jobbed to Brock. Once clean. Once everything BUT clean. In return, he beat Brock (clean) in a triple threat match, and in that whacky 3/5 falls, No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere Handicap match, or whatever the hell it was. Rock, on the other hand, put Brock over 100% clean, no questions asked, no debate. So, once again, just be quiet, because you don't have a clue. Rock's first movie (I think) came out around Backlash 2000. It was onlt a bit part, but still. When he started 'for real', he took off at WM17. WrestleMania 2001. Rock debuted just a bit over four year prior to that. So, AGAIN, just shut up, because you are full of shit. I have no idea why you think he wouldn't have put Brock over. Your just letting personal biases get in the way, so there is no point even arguing it with you. Once again, stop talking crap. Rock didn't go four year without being pinned clean. If you want to talk crap, tell me, when was the last time your buddy the Undertaker was pinned clean? Only Taker losses I can think of that were even SLIGHTLY clean were his losses to Brock at No Mercy 2002 and... and that's it. A lot of clean jobs there, huh?
  16. This company is so depressing.

Nothing wrong with wackiness, my friend. Really, though, I was thinking of a DVD that I'd like more than anything, so I'd see why others wouldn't like it. It's all good. More important is that they release an Angle DVD period.

Because, I dunno, it was his FIRST WWE TITLE REIGN! No matter how bad it was, it should be addressed. And I don't know, or care, what two matches you're talking about. Because ALL FANTASY DVD SETS that get posted are, in actuality, going to happen, right? And, once again, you don't actually say *why* the matches are worthless no purpose on the DVD. Then again, you're a worthless poster who serves no purpose on these forums, so I guess you don't have to. Maybe because, ya know, I'm addressing different posts, and entirely different topics. One is about Angle - one about Taker. And, don't worry, I know how to keep everything in one post. You don't have to teach me. And I love how you don't actually reply to my inital comment direct towards you, but instead try and be 'cool' by throwing a shitty little insult my way. Whatever. I no longer care about your opinion.

EXAGGERATIONS~! About 25 matches there. For a 3 (or 4) disc set, you could get something close to that. I didn't mean it was bad in regards to the model (you had a good idea), but the fact that it was layed out with SO many PPV matches that I already have (or can get) would make it quite unattractive to me. When did I say it was great? It's not meaningless - it was Angle's first PPV Title defense, plus a victory over Taker. It was quite meaningfull. YES - the DVD IS a career retrospective. However, that doesn't mean you can't throw in a few good matches just for the Hell of it. There's no need for ANY Edge match. They aren't THAT important. The Val match was Angle's first title win - it's important. Armageddon is another Angle WWE Title win. Not too important, but still....

It (SNME) was a match from early in Taker's career. It was one of the first times he had his brush with the main event. Is it vitally important? No. But it's something I wouldn;t mind seeing. It's probably one of the ones worth cutting though, you're right. Why don't they serve a purpose? You said all I was doing was making a list of good to great matches - so what do you want? They aren't meaningless - they were all important stages of the character's development. Did they suck - yes. But it would be silly to skip a whole four years or so. Keep in mind, I'm thinking of a Ric Flair like 3-disc anthology here. The Bret match isn't TOO important but it sets up his feud with Diesel, so whatever. Why NOT show three Foley matches? They're all rare matches not readily available, so show 'em. Better than three KANE matches. Benoit vs Taker was a good match that I felt deserved an inclusion. It was so different to his other matches prior to it - it would be a good way to show Taker's development from DeadMan to AmericanBadAss. Tajiri vs Taker is just a fun match that I get a kick out of. No real need to include.

All of these matches aren't needed, ESPECIALLY the SSeries 2000 and Armageddon 2000 matches. Probably more from the list, but I don't feel like arguing. No. Also, 'probably more, but I don;t feel like arguing' means you don't have an argument, but would like to pretend you do so you look cool. Please tell me what else is a bad choice. Vs Undertaker - Survivor Series 2000 Note the 'maybe'. Also note that I said not all of these matches would go on the DVD (too many). This would be included because it's Angle's first big title defense, in which he goes over. Not too important, but it can be included. Armageddon 6-Way HIAC YES, this needs to be included. This was what Angle's (terrible) title reign was all about. It's also a fun match. It's a BIG victory for Angle - it should be included. The Austin/Rock matches I noted due to the fact that they're forgotten bouts that people hardly mention. Both are very good. The Austin match was the biggest of Angle's title run. The Rock match was one of the first times we were shown Kurt completely snapping - it was vital to his character's development. You don't think there should be a mention of his feud with Benoit? You want them to skip a really good Angle/Booker match, which marked HISTORY (WCW Title changes on WWE TV) and was a big win for Angle? WHY?!? Why would you skip the Austin Unforgiven match? Angle wins the title... as a face. It's needed. The Rhyno/Kane matches are very good, underrated bouts. Why NOT include them? Are they the most IMPORTANT matches of Angle's run? No. But have I covered most, if not ALL, of the important matches? YES. So why not include a couple of good matches that AREN'T available elsewhere? What would you prefer, a DVD full of matches taken from other DVDs? Well, maybe you would. But I was 'creating' a DVD that all can enjoy, not just a select group of people. In closing, try making an argument in future, rather than 'this sucks'. But then, you've proven yourself to be a worthless poster in the past, so I'm not holding my breath.

Though most of Taker's early matches SUCK, it's still vital to include some of them. No matter how bad they are. I think you also made a mistake skipping 96, mainly Taker's feud with Mankind which produced his first real 'good' matches. Again, just because. The matches I'd have (or at least a selection to pick from) Survivor Series 90 Debut Match Vs Jimmy Snuka - WrestleMania 91 Vs Hulk Hogan - Survivor Series 91 W/ Ric Flair Vs Hulk Hogan and Sid - SNME in 92 Vs Jake Roberts - WrestleMania 92 Vs Kamala - Survivor Series 92 Vs Giant Gonzales - SummerSlam 93 Vs UnderFaker - SummerSlam 94 Vs Yokozuna - Survivor Series 94 Vs Kama - SummerSlam 95 Everything to this point is really, really awful. However it should still be included. Cut out any of this stuff that's available elsewhere (maybe the Taker DVD they brought out a few months(?) ago?). There's probably something else you could get on here. Now, better stuff. Vs Bret Hart - Royal Rumble 96 Vs Diesel - WrestleMania 96 Vs Mankind - IYH BA 96 Vs Mankind - Survivor Series 96 Vs Mankind - Middle East Cup 96 Vs Sid - WrestleMania 97 Vs Mankind - IYH ROTT 97 Vs Steve Austin - IYH CDIH 97 Vs Vader - IYH CS 97 Vs Shawn Michaels - IYH GZ 97 Vs Bret Hart - One Night Only 97 Vs Kane - WrestleMania 98 Vs Steve Austin - Over The Edge 99 (maybe/maybe not. Depends on their stance regarding Owen's death) Vs Chris Benoit - Rebellion 2000 Vs RVD - Vengeance 2001 Vs Tajiri - Raw 2001/2002 Vs Ric Flair - WrestleMania 2002 Vs Jeff Hardy - Raw 2002 Vs Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle - SD 2002 Vs Kane - WrestleMania 2004 Some others I've forgot probably. That'll do for now.

Some bad choices for matches, and some notable omissions. I understand that not everyone buys EVERY WWE DVD, however, you should still limit it so that it's not pointless inclusions that are already available elsewhere. There's really no purpose in including the JD match with Edge. For one, it's available elsewhere. Two, it's the worst match they had. Three, Angle loses. Four, the match isn't important. The only reason I can gather for it's inclusion is Angle getting shaved bald, but that's not too important. All the matches, except for the Taker match, on disc two are readily available. Though some SHOULD be included for significance (Hogan), a lot are just pointless (Cena, Rey, Brock). MY Angle DVD would include: One or two of his HEAT/Dark matches before his debut. Plus some of his development stuff. Vs Shawn Stasiak - Survivor Series 99 A random Raw match from around his debut Vs Val Venis - SD 2000 (Euro Title win) Vs Chris Jericho - No Way Out 2000 Vs Rikishi - KOTR 2000 Vs Rock - No Mercy 2000 Vs Undertaker - Survivor Series 2000 (maybe) Vs Rock Vs Triple H Vs Steve Austin Vs Undertaker Vs Rikishi - Armageddon 2000 Vs Steve Austin - Raw 2000/2001 (the one NOT on the Action DVD) Vs Rock - Raw 2001 (Angle snaps, and, I think, gets DQed. AWESOME, underrated match) One of his matches with Benoit, either the 2/3 Falls match, or Mania. The cage would be a better option, but that's on the Benoit DVD Vs Booker T - SD 2001 (Angle wins WCW Title) Vs Steve Austin - SummerSlam 2001 Vs Steve Austin - Unforgiven 2001 (you could just use one of these two matches) Vs Rhyno - Raw(?) 2001 - US Title win (Very good, forgotten gem) Vs Kane - SD 2001 (After the heel turn, possibly Kane's best ever match) Vs Steve Austin - SD 2001/2002 (leading to the Rumble, another forgotten good one. Not particularly important, but it's a good match and deserves a release) Vs Hulk Hogan - KOTR 2002 Vs Undertaker - SD 2002 (the double pin/submission finish) Vs Eddie Guerrero - SD 2002 (the match he won) Vs Big Show - Armageddon 2002 (title win) His match with Benoit could go here, but it's on the Benoit DVD so.... Vs Chris Benoit - SD 2003 Vs Rey Mysterio - SD 2003 Vs Brock Lesnar Vs Big Show - Vengeance 2003 Vs Undertaker - SD 2003 Vs Eddie Guerrero - SD 2004 (2/3 Falls) That's about 25 matches right there. Obviously some would be cut, but I think that covers pretty much everything that matters and would make for a very good DVD.
  24. But... Benoit isn't the champion. Stop trolling, or flame baiting or whatever the Hell it is.
  25. I meant in regards to 'making a star'. Regardless of if Lance is any good or not, the fact is, he in place of Shawn would have given him a lot of credibility, something Shawn already has.
