Johnson just smashed the shit out of Tommy Speer. He was way to fast. Johnson said he's real 'crunk'. -

Mazzagatti has been involved in both hasty stoppages. In that last one he was running in as soon as Karo's head made contact with the knee. -
The first trade of the year has been completed. Layden Express acquries Jacoby Ellsbury, OF Portland Wet Sox acquires Casey Blake 1B, 3B, OF

All I have to say is... GOD DAMN IT!! SERIOUSLY!? ONE GAME!? ONE!? GAME!? *sigh*

I can put the trade through right now if you guys would like. It seems more than fair to me. I don't see any reason why it would get protested.

Team Random Hero to the 2nd round of the playoffs! That's three straight years! I'm pretty happy about that streak especially in a league of this size. I'm sure the ride is once again going to end in a 2nd round exit for my team. Jermaine O'Neal's comeback has already destroyed the delicate structure that caused Troy Murphy to play incredible the past few weeks and Drew Gooden has an ab strain. Playing with the corpse of Wade on my bench will be my ultimate demise against Steviekick. My only chance is countless injuries on his team... and I don't see that happening.

Mutilated genitalia. I don't think that's what Forums.thesmartmarks.com is about.

This kaintock dude seems like a suspicious character.

And that happened! Apparently it was an S. He's number 15... One yellow light and one blue light... Pitch comes along, and that happened!

It looks like he's holding the picture up to the mic to address the media.

Yeah, I try watching every game I can. Marquis is a nightmare. Some games he is spot on and only gives up one run. Then other games he looks like someone throwing batting practice. It's not even any logical trends either. He can shut down a quality offense like Milwaukee or Colorado and then give up 6 runs the next start to the Reds or the Pirates. I'm pretty concerned about Rich Hill also. Hill can get out of jams easier because of his strikeout ability but he's just as night and day as Marquis. One game great, next you want him pulled instantly. Hopefully Lou will pull guys sooner, when they clearly aren't getting anyone out and use Lieber or Marshall as security blanket for long inning relief. Tampa Bay vs. Baltimore... There isn't anything to discuss.

Way to leave a guy wide open on an in bound pass so he can hit a three pointer WVU.

AL East y-Boston NY Yankees Toronto Tampa Bay TEAM LOGO XX-XX Boston shouldn't have any problem taking the division. Toronto has a better pitching staff but the Yankees offense is so good that they should almost be able to over power most teams. Tampa Bay should finish higher than TEAM LOGO XX-XX. AL Central y-Detroit x-Cleveland Chicago White Sox Kansas City Minnesota Detroit should steam roll. Cleveland will put up a good fight but they still need some improvements to they're still really young and need something better than Borowski closin games for them. Minnesota lost Torri Hunter and Santana. That makes them slightly worse than Chicago and Kansas City. Chicago does still have a pretty potent offense and that should bail out the awful pitching staff for a few games. AL West y-LA Angels Seattle Oakland Texas Angels improved defensively and offensively by adding Hunter. They have a great amount of depth in that lineup also. Seattle improved their team by adding another top ace in Bedard. If they can get a few better bats in that lineup I think they're good enough to take the Wild Card from Cleveland but until they add another bat their offense isn't good enough. Oakland and Texas are going to once again battle it out for last place in the AL West. NL East y-NY Mets Atlanta Philadelphia Washington Florida A lot of people are picking Atlanta to win the East. I don't see it. The Mets pitching staff has three aces. Atlanta has a good staff but as long as Pedro remains healthy the Mets staff is better. Philadelphia is still a good team but not good enough to get past either of the Mets or the Braves. Florida is terrible and Washington should be a little bit better. NL Central y-Chicago Cubs Milwaukee Cincinnati St. Louis Houston Pittsburgh Chicago should steam roll the central. Milwaukee will keep it close but they don’t have the pitching to get it done in the long run. Eric Gagne? Give me a break. St. Louis has a few nice players but Pujols is probably gonna get shut down around early July. NL West y-Colorado x-Arizona LA Dodgers San Diego San Francisco Colorado should be a little bit better than Arizona. Arizona has a good young team but most of its batters are still very raw. Dodgers have a few more weapons than San Diego does.

I just consumed four cadbury creme eggs. That's healthy.

Sometimes I flip my radio over to AM to catch a specific sports game when I'm driving. Problem is my tuner for some reason likes to get stuck and not switch back to FM. It just so happens its stuck on AM right now. The NBA has been a lot better since they implemented the age restriction. Raising it one more year will only make it better. Most of the guys coming straight out of high school have absolutely no idea how to play a team game or be a member of a team. They learn that in college. They also get to compete against and develop their skills against guys that are closer to their own playing ability. Any high school kid would gladly take an enormous contract to just go sit on the bench and not have to do anything for 3 years over going to college. All it’s doing is wasting a roster space and wasting cap room on guys that are in no way ready to play in the NBA. I’ve heard GM’s say that you couldn’t really tell for certain if some of the high school kids that are drafted would be a failure until at least their fifth year in the league. The D-League is a great idea but all it seems to be used for is a storage area for guys that aren't and won't be good enough to be useful in the NBA. Morris Almond has been putting up great numbers all season and Utah hasn’t bothered to find a place for him or trade him to a team that could use him. Mateen Cleaves is also putting up massive numbers down there and we’ve all seen how well he worked out in the NBA. Another year of seasoning for guys like Kevin Durant would help make college basketball better at the top. It's not going to make the terrible teams like Illinois and Northwestern any more watchable.

Dollar Long Islands are his favorite...

UCLA is a good team but it seems like the only way they've been winning these games is by absolute terrible officiating. I'm looking forward to seeing if Wisco can deal with Stephen Curry and his little assist buddy Jason Richards.

I heard about him wanting to raise the age limit on ESPN radio today. I'm all for it. It'll make college basketball more entertaining. NFL already has similar rules so I definitely don't see any problem with him raising the age limit.

I just got done watching game 2. Rich Harden looked damn good today. In 6.0 innings of work he had 9 strike outs, 1 ER, and a 1.0 WHIP. Harden is a great pitcher. I really hope he stays healthy. Emil Brown also got some redeption today from losing yesterday's game with a 3 run jack off of Lester. Boston fans should be concerned about the starting pitching situation.

Webber should get in. I think it'll be close. He only played 70 or more games in 6 seasons. His career totals would be a lot better had he been a more durable player. I think with Webber you have to look at his career averages to get a sense of what kind of a quality player he was. With a 20 pts, 10 rebs, and 4 asts per game career average, that should be more than good enough for a power forward to get in.
