Why? It's not like either was a central component of their team's rise to the Super Bowl. Credit the defenses. Are you offended that Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson won rings too? Yes. Especially since Dilfer beat the Giants to get his. That's not entirely true, it's just the fact that QBs in the league get judged by how many rings they've won even when they had little, or in Dilfer's case NOTHING to do with winning it. I think "game managers" are bad for football, much like I hate the way baseball is turning into a game over who has the best middle relief because starters can't pitch 7 innings and closers can't pitch 3 days in a row. I'm not saying we need a league of superstar QBs, but when the media spends weeks/years blowing mediocre QBs who won playoff games and/or titles because their defense was legendary, that doesn't sit well with me. As someone whose team has always been about run, run, run, smashmouth defense that style is very boring to watch even when my team is playing it, so I can only imagine how much worse it is for someone not rooting for them. Since the NFL is a copycat league, I won't be interested in seeing guys putting less and less responsibility on the QB whose job these days seems to be to try not to lose. I'd much rather see a QB go out and win a game or lead his team to victory, not go 20 for 35 for 175 yards with nothing but underneath stuff and hand it off 30 times. I'll take win a super bowl with a game manager style QB (Trent Dilfer!!) over repeatedly losing in the playoffs despite having out of this world regular season stats (Looking straight at Peyton Manning).

Im more and more taking every post over at Joystiq with a grain of salt and considering them trying to start a flame war from some side.

I said last night it was going to be a close game...well, 1 point is as close as you can get without a tie.

Titans fans are going nuts, theres been about 5 penalties against the Titans plus that blown fumble call. Titans fumbled on a fake kick on 4th down, and they got the first down but the rule is that the only guy that can advance a fumble on 4th down is the guy that fumbled it so Ravens ball instead of Titans ball.

Heres a new one..Titans challenged a fumble that was clearly a fumble but the refs called down by contact on the field..the review came back and because there was a huge pile/scrum for the football, the refs held the call of down by contact because they couldn't see who recovered the football even though the Titans came out of the pile with it.

This Ravens game is getting ugly. The Ravens are gonna be 3rd down and about 40 here maybe..or not..clearly the Titans will win the challenge and the fumble.

a 6-2 team? And at least for now, they are moving the ball offensively, a score here would put them right back in the game when it looked horrible down 26-7. I knew this would be a close game but I figured it would be the Ravens building up the early lead only to let it get close late..not any of this 26 points in the first half crap.. and Im begging SD to pull out something vs Cincy..28-14 now there.

Its looking like 3 of the 6-2 division leading teams in the AFC are in danger of losing (SD,NE,Baltimore) to teams with .500 records or worse. Every one of those points has been proven false through 17 minutes of this game. and the Ravens just got called offsides on a FG try to give the Titans a first down.. 26-7 Titans with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

Holy Crap..McNair to Clayton 65 yard TD. Clayton is emerging as the Ravens #1 reciever ahead of Mason oddly enough. And to Naiwf..the Ravens have only allowed 10 points in the first quarter the whole season..now 13..but anyway they aren't used to giving up points like that on a first drive.
