  1. A LOVE STORY GONE WRONG! Er..all I can think of about that is if both Matt and Edge come to find out that Lita is/was really a man..
  2. OOH This is just about over.
  3. Aww..Angle runs in.. so much for that.
  4. Rene Dupree!
  5. Now the crowd is getting bleeped.. I take it "shawns an asshole"?
  6. No..they start "na na na na hey hey hey..goodbye"
  7. Will the fans start throwing stuff..?
  8. And..uh..WTF..um.. there goes the server.. oh gee..HBK rips off Edge.. we know what happened to Edge...
  9. Hmm..this is playing out too nicely for Bret to not show up..
  10. I smell a racism angle with him vs Shelton Benjamin.
  11. Im guessing the Government wants to the moon because the first time was just fakery.
  12. This is basic high school economics, day 1 stuff. Supply and Demand. High Supply/Low Demand = low prices Low Supply/High Demand - high prices Guess which one oil falls under.. Only so much oil can be pumped out and refined to produce gas with current facilities. OPEC/Oil Companies COULD start drilling in more places and add more refineries, but they have no incentive since it would cost them money to do so and cheapen their product. Yeah, the oil companies are raking in the dough, but I don't know of any business model where the goal is to not make as much money as possible. I figure if they can sell a product that virtually everyone is dependent on (even if you don't drive, you buy stuff that was shipped somewhere in a truck/boat that runs on gas) and is in short supply, then so be it as long as most people take an "I don't care" stance. And honestly, while all the hydrogen fuel cell research is nice, its not going to make the technology get here any faster. They could have a viable production car that runs on hydrogen and sells for $10,000, but until hydrogen is as convenient to get as gas, they wont be viable everyday options for 90% of America. The funny thing is, Supply and Demand is going to drive Hybrid Cars prices up too. More people are going to want them as gas gets higher and the car manuafacturers are only going to be able to churn out so many at this stage.
  13. I watched a 2 minute preview that my Tivo downloaded for 40 year old virgin, and they go out and say its a date movie. It looks funny though.. So yeah, um...I don't have any plans to see it.
  14. All Resuce Divers must go into hiding! /sounds like the Incredibles..
  15. And inversely, DVD was responsible for ushering most first generation PS2s into the repair shop. This whole thing reminds me of how everytime for the last 5 years I've gone to buy a new TV the salesperson tries to tell me that FCC has mandated that all broadcasting must be HD (which to my knowledge is a boldface lie) and I might as well get a jump on the new trend by getting an HD unit. That is, of course, until I actually did try to by an HD unti and I couldn't get a saelsman to give me the time of day because they were all too busy chasing after the customer who only LOOKED like he wanted to by something...the bastards. And for the record, 480i in anamorphic widescreen still looks pretty damn good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2009 - All over the air broadcasts must be digital. This only means anything to you if you use an antenna to get analog local networks. If thats you, and you don't upgrade to either a new tv with a digital tuner or a cable/satellite company that provides you with your locals, you will wake up January 1, 2009 without any local channels. Unless of course Congress pushes back the date again (it was pushed back from 2006 to 2009) which is possible. Digital =/= Hi Def, but Hi Def = Digital. Digital can also be Enhanced Definition (like some early model plasma sets) which is..oooh..480P max. Digital can be just plain 480i, which is now commonly refered to as Standard Definition. The picture is clearer, and not snowy if you are out of range (you just get macroblocking if the signal breaks up). Theres also 720p, 1080i and some LCDs now support 1080p. Of course, there isn't anything to force channels like TBS/FX/Comedy Central to start broadcasting in Digital or even Hi-Def, and they'll probably still be in some form of analog 5-10 years from now. Cable/Sat companies just don't have the bandwith to shove 500 digital high definition channels to all their users, especially satellite.
  16. Ok the streaming thing sucks for me.. play for 5 seconds..buffering for 10 seconds..play for 5 seconds..buffering for 10 seconds..
  17. If you don't have a High Definition TV, this whole format war doesn't even concern you to start with since you'll need a Hi Def TV with either DVI or probably HDMI (because it has HDCP contebt protection which keeps the HD content from being played over anything other than HDMI port, plugging the analog HD hole which would allow people to record HD programs using the HD Analog component (red/blue/green) ports..in short its good for Hollywood, sucks for the consumer, blah blah blah). As an owner of a HD TV, I would love to see HD Quality movies. Current DVD quality is a measly 480p, while Im sitting here watching ESPN NFL at 720p. However..Im not ready to put out $1,000 bucks for a HD-DVD/Blu Ray player even though I just spent $1,000 for a Hi Def TV and $600 for a Hi Def Directv Tivo (which as a sad side note will be a $600 doorstop soon with Directv abandoning Tivo and switching to MPEG-4 which the box can't decode), but I can record 2 HD programs at once which will be awesome for as long as its not a doorstop.. And while one could buy a PS3 for $500 and get a Blu-Ray Player, one would have to be stupid to buy a first generation Sony Console with a first generation media format (at 1x speed nonethe less, meaning wow, you have 50 GB of data and it takes 6 years to access it! whoohoo!") I'm waiting for those 1 TB (Thats a terabyte, or 1,000 GB) holographic discs that are supposedly 2-3 years from market..thats where its at!
  18. The Pacifier was actually pretty decent for a Disney Comedy/Action movie with Vin Diesel. I'm sitting here looking at the Alexander Directors Cut DVD, thinking "why the hell did I rent this to waste 3 hours of my life". If I manage to watch it all without popping the disc out and sending it back to blockbuster at any point earlier than the ending, I will be really surprsied..but I am not going to hold my breath.
  19. You know..I don't even want to think about how bad A Dusty/Flair match at this point in time would be. But, at the same time Id want to see it..sorta like the car wreck principle.
  20. I give it a year since UPN will end up canceling SD due to poor ratings moving it to the "Death Valley" of Network timeslots. The only saving grace is it wont be going up against Survivor/CSI, but it will be going up against people going out on friday nights and prememptions due to sports, so it all probably plays out even.
  21. I heard PETA was protesting South Carolina saying they should ditch the "Gamecocks".
  22. Im surprised he didn't try and make you pick from Ray Lewis and his "double murder" or Raffy. What Jamal did, he did before he even drafted in the NFL and while he was still in college. Im glad everyone went through college squeakly clean and didn't do anything stupid that they might come to regret as an adult in real life.. I've listened to Andrew Scicilliano before when he was on Fox Sports Radio, and I guess he might have room to talk since I doubt he went to college. *CHEAP SHOT* Anyway, I doubt the feds would have pursued the issue had Jamal not rushed for 2,000 yards and become a big time star..they were just looking for someone to make an example of..why else would they use up almost all of the time they had before they couldn't pursue the charges any more? Why didn't they pursue the charges earlier? Because as quickly as he was a star in the Super Bowl, he got hurt and was out for a year. He had a decent 2002, but it wasn't anything to make him a big time star like his 2000 yard 2003 season.
  23. We all know that UPN probably has a larger audience of people who want to see Cena and his videos that RAW/Spiketv..they can at least cater to the "see his video's" part..
  24. John Cena, you cant see me on Smackdown, but you can see my crappy ass video!
  25. OMG! Rey got bleeped..which must be a first..with his kid in the ring!
