Thanks a lot. I think that Angle and Haas wrestled TWGTT split from Angle when he came back as a face. Seems Angle likes to start off against Haas. Shame they couldnt do a angle between them to elevate Haas.

I'm having conflicted views with this . . . . Trips being handed the title was bad, no doubt. It should've been contested in a tournament, or something of the sort, even if Trips ended up with the title, at least it wouldn't seem as contrived as just handing someone a World title. So for that, I've always seen some "tarnish" on the Raw belt, even though Benoit helped rub some of that "tarnish" off . . . That being said, I just can't view that belt as "shit", because I feel it's been good for both brands to have World title . . . gives for some comparison, and adds to the competitive feel that the brand extension was supposed to produce all along. Plus, whether WWE wants to recognize it or not, that belt is as historic, if not moreso, than the WWE title that JBL has. Just my personal opinion, that's all. As for Lesnar? I welcome him back. I didn't like the way he left either, and I'm sure that there's a lot of fences to be mended in the locker room as it relates to Brock. But the business is at a point where it needs all the help it can get, and if you have a major player like Brock back in the main event scene, then I'm all for it. I'd bring him to Raw, trade Orton and/or Michaels to Smackdown, and let the games begin. The whole point of just handing the strap to HHH was to creat controversy and heat, which it did, on both counts, so mission accomplished. The World title has more linage then the WWE title, but the WWE title has the longer history in the WWE, so I think they counter each other out. HBK plus somebody else NOT envolved in the EC or been on SD alreasy should go to SD.

I agree with it. Makes life less complicated. Imagine a Regal-Blackman-Richards 3 way dance :S

Is this true or sarcasm?
-
I see. Didnt he face Haas just before the Triple Threat at Vengence 2003 too?
-
At least we have Velocity, the WWE CW show!
-
Hes going to be part of the Wildside set-up then? This name changing does make sense, to a very limited degree. (1T).

This is all very sad. Each title should be seen as important. Obviously, the World and WWE Championships are the one everybody wants to hold, but holding the others shouldnt be seen as a joke. The IC and US are used (or should be) to elveate people to the ME level. The tag titles are the WORLD Tag Team and WWE Tag Team Championships, i.e. tag variants of the WORLD and WWE titles. They should be used for those out of the title hunt, too low for IC/US status or 'generics'. The Womans title would be alot better if the division hadnt just been canabilised. A division consisting of Trish, Lita, Victoria, Molly Holly, Gail Kim, Jazz, Shaniqua, Ivory and Jacquelin could be solid and entertaining. You could even have a faction of Kim, Jazz, Shaniqua and Jacquelin based a la NOD. The CW title is to be the entertaining title. Look at the talent for f**ks sake. Rey rey, kidman, london, spike, chavo, nunzio, funaki, moore, akio, tajiri (why he wa traded to RAW, I will never know), noble (why he was released, I will never know) and hurricane. If you cant come up with 1/2 storylines for that sort of talent, your an . . . And I think that sticking CWs in the CW division is wrong. The upper CW talent should join the hunt for the US title (such as rey rey, kidman and chavo) and tag teams could be formed (such as rey and kidman, akio and funaki or spike and nunzio as the leaders of the dudley and FBI gangs). You could have a CW involved in the US title hunt, a CW tag team and the CW title. Its sad about London, his return should have been mega-hyped. Kidman should have been the champ for Armageddon and the rematch should have been for the title. A 5 year old with crayons could have painted that picture for you :@.

Wasnt this in 2003 just before Vengence? If it wasnt, I would add it to my list. Also, Shelton-Hass, their last match together if im not mistaken on SD. Their guantlet match, the night after WMXX if im not mistaken, deserves a mention.
-
In no particular order: RVD-Orton (Rematch for IC title, the one HHH comes out and stays pointing to the empty seat) Royal Rumble Match Eddy-Brock (No Way Out) Angle-Eddy (WMXX) Benoit-HBK-HHH (WMXX) Rey Rey-Orton (SD after WMXX) Foley-Orton (Backlash) JBL-Eddy (Judgement Day) Christain-Jerricho (Cage Match Blowoff on RAW) Orton-Benoit (SummerSlam) Angle-JBL (SD) I know theres 11, since I am not a 100% sure if RVD-Orton was in 2003 or 2004. Plus I loved Benoit-Brock and HBK-HHH match from the last RAW of the year. Shelton-HHH (1st RAW Match), Kane-Benoit (RAW match due to stips) and London-Kidman (No Mercy) get honourable mentions. The year did seem to go flat half way through

UT was Brocks bitch for Hell in a Cell. I can see people like Cena losing gracefully to the UT and gaining from it, I can see people losing gracefully to Anlge or Eddy and gaining from it, but not Brock. He has to go to RAW and HBK goes to SD!
-
Eddy-Brock and the Lita-Trish story. WWE deserve 2 thumbs up with this angle. Was built up for a while and the blowoff was good considering it was the divas.
-
If this is the Edge-O-Matic, he still uses it. Delivered a sick one to Randy last week.
-
Bring back the Downward Spiral and the Figure-Four Edgelock. Yes, the Spear should be used after wearing opponents down with the inverted standing figure of four leglock Edgeucator and then the jumping impaler DDT known as the Edgecution.
-
Oooooooooo, I forgot, CCC promos, although the actual on-screen character leaves a lot to be desired.
-
Yes. I agree. The Edge turn, La Res hailing from Quebec & Luther were things well done; but Jindrak, Shelton-HHH & London-Kidman started well but were ruined by the end of it.
-
HBK-HHH Last Man Standing promo when HBK superkicked the Coach. The sick submission hold Holly applied to Lesnar Eddie and Benoit back to back wins. The turning of Y2J. The Foley-Orton story. The blood bath of Eddie-JBL Benoit beating Kane at Bad Blood. The Highlight reel with Eugene & Evolution. Eugene as GM. Eugene till the Iron Man Match. The rise and rise of Batista and Orton. Bradshaw becoming JBL and getting a Cabinet. Bischoff's turning his back on Evolution. All the Nature Boys promos.

TNA's wasted wrestler, angle and feud of the year!
zyn081 replied to zyn081's topic in TNA Wrestling
Raven could have 'taken' Sabu out and they could have done it properly when he was fit an able. The road to the cage was the best angle TNA have had all year. The deadly draw, cage match & king of the mountain made their best month of the year. -
TNA's wasted wrestler, angle and feud of the year!
zyn081 replied to zyn081's topic in TNA Wrestling
I would most probably have to say that most underutilised wrestler was Daniels most underutilised feud was XXX-AMW and most underutilised angle was Ravens destiny. Wasted wrestler was Raven, wasted fued was Raven-Sabu and wasted angle was a possible Hogan-Savage. Without doubt, for TNA to improve, the show must be built around the following in 2005: Abyss AJ Styles Alex Shelley (Has to be built-up though) Monty Brown Christopher Daniels Chris Harris (Cant really leave him out) Chris Sabin (Has to be built-up though) James Storm (Cant really leave him out) Jeff Hardy (Cant really leave him out) Jeff Jarrett (Cant really leave him out) Kid Kash Pat Kenney (Has to be built-up though) Ron Killings All of Team Canada To a lesser extent: Amazing Red Hector Garza Jerrelle Clarke Scott Hall Sonjay Dutt Sonny Siaki The rest would play filling roles. -
I actually liked Lesnar-Holly. That submission hold looked sick. Shame Holly didnt get more offense in. And the angle made sense too. Tomko-Richards was not advertised, so I dont even consider it. Orton-HHH at Unforgiven should have had Orton going over and not been the cluster **** it ended up being. Worst match of the year has got to the UT-Dudleys at GAB. I mean, come on, LIVE FREE OR DIE, DO THE RIGHT THING, CONCRETE CRYPT MATCH! What in the blue hell is that!
-
You seem to forget that Brock beat the UT at Unforgiven and No Mercy 2002 and No Mercy 2003.
-
What I think should happen is have Edge accuse Benoit of being his attacker since they're already feuding just to add to it. I really like the thought behind this. Edge could accuse Benoit of trying to take him out of the running since he saw him as a threat, which Benoit denies. This means that we would have Batista and Benoit both turning in opposite directions.
-
I think these questions can be answered in 3 words: Raven, Raven and Raven! IMO the most underutilised wrestler is Raven. He is now fighting with DDP! Hes mainly this year fought against Styles, Killings, Harris, Abyss and Brown . Why not Jarrett! This brings us to the angle most royaly screwed: Raven's Destiny. It could have easily been told that every month Raven beats somebody to get a shot at the title, but gets screwed since some other wrestler derails him and Raven being who he is must get revenge, thus losing his focus. But no. We get Raven making Abyss and Brown look good. Finally, mishandled feud of the year was Raven-Sabu. I mean, WTF, that should have been the bloody closing brawl at Victory Road. Geez, they had never puthands on each other. Who remembers their only fight! I believe that TNA also dropped the ball with Hogan-Savage. I know it wouldnt be a mat classic but so much history couldnt be passed up. The X Cup and X Division both flopped. The good points of the year were the Road to the Cage build-up and the month after that, the 2 PPVS (Victory Road and Turning Point) and the rise and rise of Monty Brown. Theres alot of good unsigned talent out their for gods sake! Get your act together TNA! Please, for the sake of wrestling!
-
I must admit. Brock is not my favourite wrestler, but he is a good mat wrestler, has a cool moveset (F-5, SSP, Brock Lock and more importantly the sick double pinning ganzo bomb) and can cut decent promos. Him being on SD though would add nothing. Just the thought of him and Benoit is crazy, plus imagine the hype of Brock-HHH, it could easily start off by HHH sarcastically saying "Fanastic, the guy who ran out on this show 2 odd years since he was afraid of facing me is finally back, im so scarred! Yeah right, the guys a snotty nose sell-out punk kid". Imagine him and Orton or Batista or Jericho or Edge, alot better than Angle or Eddie or TBS or UT. Also, Kane was left off that list. We may even get Foley-Brock! I would send HBK to SD, whose character is stale now that the HHH feud is finally over with, and somebody else too, such as Foley, Eugene (Eric: I finally got rid of him) or even a resigned Goldberg. SD has less in the way of 'talent pool'.

For what its worth, my WWE would be like this: (1) Benoit vs Jericho with HBK as Special Guest Referee for the World Heavyweight Championship (2) Benjamin vs Kane for the IC title (3) HHH vs Flair vs Batista vs Orton (4) Lita vs Trish for Womans Title rematch (5) Regal & Eugene vs Edge & Christian for Tag Titles (6) JBL vs Cena for WWE title (7) Carlito vs Haas for US title (8) UT vs Angle Submissions match (9) Eddy & RVD (as heels!) vs TBS & Booker T vs Reigns & Jindrak for Tag Titles (10) Spike vs Kidman vs Chavo vs Rey Rey vs Nunzio vs London for CW Title
