    Lots of News

The only thing that bothers me is the Monster's Ball thing. Surely they don't plan to stick Raven or Monty in a meaningless garbage brawl like they did at Victory Road? I don't want to see meaningless matches whose sole purpose is to keep certain people from challenging Jarrett. If this means that we're getting Victory Road v2, that will suck balls.
  2. Plus it makes everyone else look like shit. JJ is supposedly on top because he's the biggest name, and yet TNA hasn't been able to make other nameworthy wrestlers in their three years of existence? At some point, that arguement becomes moot when they clearly make no effort to make new stars. The thing is this: JJ is on top because "he's the only big name", but he's the only big name because he's the only one they prominently feature. Catch 22.

    Lengthy Dixie Carter Interview

Well, Dixie turned out to be a moron. If you need proof, everything she said about JJ is delusional. The bitch is CRAZY. I guess we can count her as another of Jeff's cronies. That's pretty fuckin' scary. TNA's only saving grace is D'Amore and Tenay having most of the book. After all, Jarrett just HATES to push himself, and I'm pretty sure those two guys realize how detrimental he is to the company. Then again, there's always been an excuse for when Jarrett comes out on top. TNA is run by morons. they are doomed.

Direction on Spike, New Talent Signed, etc.

If TNA is smart, this is what they'll do. They HAVE to know that having JJ on top isn't good for the company, even if he sells a lot of action figures and casual fans might recognize him. He just shouldn't be there.

    NWA Championship News

That's really the only logical explanation, Red. As bad as it is to even THINK of putting the title back on Jarrett, its better to have it switch hands from a heel to a face at TNA's biggest show. Raven/Jarrett is still TNA's biggest match, so hopefully this is D'Amore's plan. Hopefully we'll see Raven getting pissed on the Spike debut and demanding a rematch to regain the title and rid us of Jarrett. I fuckin' hope and pray this is the plan, because otherwise I'm gonna be pissed.

    NWA Championship News

I know this is played out, but this is so much like WCW it just isn't funny. Just when they start getting a head of steam and go in the right direction, they make the same mistakes all over again. Now I'm happy that AMW finally turned heel, but sticking them with Jarrett just means he's going to leech off their heat and they'll play second fiddle to him. Otherwise, its a good three person heel alliance and I don't mind it. As for the NWA Title, if this goes any other way besides dropping thet title back to Raven at BFG, then fuck it all. TNA is DEAD with Jarrett on top. And while I want to be optimistic and believe that they're setting up a "face winning the title from the heel for the big show" angle, history has taught me otherwise. Unless a miracle happens, we can look forward to another long and shitty reign from Jarrett where he jerks off on the NWA World Heavyweight title and no one else gets over. Fuck TNA.
  7. The Dudleyz have become stale over the last couple of years, but having to change is probably the best thing for them. With some new names and a fresher gimmick, we might see something more than the typical run-of-the-mill Dudz we've seen for the last 6 years.

    Observer Note

Homicide in TNA. Never seen him, but I'm looking forward to it. The "latino heel team" idea isn't bad either. Apolo is just the muscle, Konnan's the mouthpiece, and Homicide and Shocker will be doing most of the in ring work. That's the way it should be. TNA needs a good heel stable like this, and it'll make the 3LK breakup a little more interesting. Also glad to see Waltman will probably stay. To whoever said they were worried about Sonny Siaki, I'm hoping they stick Gail Kim with him and he can get back to his old self again. He's not terribly talented, but I always found him entertaining, so I hope he gets his chance.

    Keys to Success on Spike

I don't agree that TNA should take stupid shots at WWE. It's just childish and makes them look insecure in the quality of their product. People don't want Shock TV anymore. I'm all for doing it in a more subtle way, like saying "You won't see THIS kinda stuff in the other wrestling company". I just don't see the point in blatantly insulting WWE. TNA won't prove itself that way. I do agree that TNA will need more star power. Guys like Page and Nash are good to have around on a limited basis, as they seem more willing these days to put *some* guys over. And if we get a half-decent match out of 'em, that's good too. Sting and Jericho are long shots, but I think TNA should stay in touch and keep trying with those guys. Sting would be the best name to get, as he could work full-time, he can still go when needed, he's got HUGE star power, and he's not above putting others over (ditto to Scott Hall if he could ever get himself together). I doubt we'll ever see Jericho, but still: try. Bret Hart would be a good one-time special attraction, but I'm not sure what could be done with him. Goldberg... probably has too much ego. Besides Sting, the guy I always wanted TNA to sign was Terry Funk. It'd be just as good as signing Mick Foley. Funk could be for TNA what Flair is for RAW right now: a legendary name who entertains and helps get others over. Another crazy idea I've had is to reunite the Steiners in TNA. Sure, Rick's an asshole and Scott can hardly walk, but under the right circumstances, they could be a good one-time deal to wreak havoc on AMW, and physically put them to the ultimate test. It's been YEARS since those two have teamed, so this could garner some interest for TNA. I always wanted to see Scott Hall chase after and win a World Title. If he could ever return, that's what I'd have him do.

    TNA Signs Gail Kim

She could manage Siaki and Apolo, since I think they're heels now. It's a low-level position where she can help those two get heat. I don't want to see her in any matches, but she can run interference as a tough manager and not just be arm candy.

    Newsworthy items from 9/5 Observer

I'm glad that Devine will return. Same for Bentley, Kazarian, and I hope they can get Liger to show up. I'm actually okay with Nash, as he seems a totally different guy these days (maybe its the haircut). I'd love to see a Raven/Nash fued. Waltman also seems to have redeemed himself, and I hope he sticks around. Ortiz could be a huge main eventer in TNA if he can adapt. I just think he could work the bad ass gimmick very well. Sting would also be a big sign, but chances are that he's still not interested. It all depends on what they want to do with him. If TNA can come up with a great storyline for Sting, I think he'd sign on to do it.
  12. Haas has said time and again that he wants in TNA. I'm sure they'll sign him.
  13. I wouldn't complain if he left the company. I don't think anybody else would either. I think the article has a point. I could see how a lot of wrestling stars wouldn't want to come into TNA if it meant they'd have to work with Jarrett. The man's got a reputation for being, well, Jarrett. When a star comes in, its almost a given that they have to work a program with Jarrett. Even when he's not champ, Jarrett ALWAYS does his best to remain the center of attention. Guys like Foley, Hardy, and Ortiz might've been easier to sign if they didn't have to worry about dealing with JJ's primadonna shit. Right now they're using him the best way they can, but the best decision to make would be to let him go. Besides, if Jarrett is out of TNA, there's a chance we could see a return for Stone Cold. He'll never sign with TNA as long as Jarrett is there.
  14. Your idea for 3LK is really good. Konnan would be best used as a mouthpiece to help Shocker or any other luchas TNA may bring in. I think the James Gang definitely need to turn heel on Konnan/Killings, though. They're best used as bad guys that the fans cheer for anyway. Then you get James Gang vs. Konnan/Killings, then Killings turning against Konnan, leading to Konnan/Shocker vs. Killings/Homicide. Killings could have a good heel run with Homicide as his bodygaurd (until, of course, they turn on one another...) Getting back on topic, despite the opinion of his only fan, Jarrett needs to leave TNA asap. If he continues with the primadonna shit, it'll be sooner rather than later. Like I said, he'll head to that new promotion where he'll have lots of World Title matches against Jim Duggan. In fact, in a few years, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jarrett return for a run in WWE just to badmouth TNA.
  15. I can see that. Jarrett and his stooges will head to WWWA.
  16. The sooner Jarrett leaves TNA the better.

    Keys to Success on Spike

I like that they're rebuilding Monty into a title contender, and I think a fued with Jarrett would give him a good platform. But there's still no reason to put the title on Jarrett. It's been proven time and time again that Jarrett on top is death to TNA. Do they really want to start the Spike TV era by making this mistake AGAIN? Here's what I'd like to see: Raven/Jarrett II goes down at BFG. Jarrett gets Kevin Nash instated as the special guest referee to be "fair and balanced". Although Nash is meant to ensure JJ's victory, he actually calls it straight and Raven comes out on top. Jarrett starts bitching on Impact but is interupted by Monty, kicking off their fued. Jarrett/Monty ends in DQ at the November PPV, but Monty beats him in December in a No DQ match to earn a title shot. Meanwhile Raven has put up good title defenses against Nash in November and then Bubba Ray Dudley in December. In January, Monty challenges Raven and wins the title. I'd probably then move him into fueds with Sabu and Rhino. And the best part: Jarrett never had to be champ.
  18. Magus

    What if....

It's pretty common knowledge that Jarrett/Raven I was ruined by Jarrett winning. Therefore, common sense tells us that Raven should win at BFG. I don't know if they're going to go with the "loser leaves" stip, though. Raven could easily have some good defenses against Nash, Daniels, and a few others until they can rebuild Monty Brown and hand the title off to him.

    Keys to Success on Spike

I agree that Daniels should be included, and I'd throw Raven in there as well (not the guy to build the company around, but a solid ME guy who can give the rub to others. What makes you think that JJ will get the title back at BFG?

    Chris Jericho to TNA?

I probably hate Jarrett just as much if not more than this guy, but even I have to admit that its really not THAT bad. Jericho coming to TNA would be a H-U-G-E benefit to them, and I doubt that anyone (besides Jeff and Jerry, of course) would want to use Jericho to try getting Jarrett over some more. Jericho's too big a star for that shit. The days of Jarrett running the show are definitely over, but since they can't outright get rid of him, the next best option is to use what little he can offer. Yes, JJ is still being portrayed as a main eventer, something he obviously is not. But at least now he's not the dominant Superman he used to book himself as. Right now, they're working towards Raven/Jarrett II, and unless something drastic happens, Jarrett will lose and possibly take a leave of absence. Right now JJ is being used as an enhancement guy, which is exactly what he is.

TNA's November 2005 PPV called "Genesis"

Better PPV names is key, in my opinion. I think BFG, LD, DX, and Slammiversary are all fine as TNA's big annual shows. All the other PPV names have been crap, even if the shows themselves might have been good. BFG can be the Wrestlemania of TNA, and Slammiversary isn't a bad name since it ties into TNA's inception. Lockdown is a bit tricky with the all-cage thing. I think they should just have NO cage matches during the rest of the year. That way the cage match doesn't get played out, and Lockdown gets a reputation as TNA's annual hardcore bloodfest. Destination X should be worked in to showcase the Super X Tourny. Here's how they should have it: April: Lockdown June: Slammiversary October: BFG (gets about four months of build) January: Destination X (they could try to pull a fast one on the X Champ by having the tournament again this January, and set that up as the new time)

    Chris Jericho to TNA?

The jury is obviously still out on this one. I'd love to weigh the pros and cons of Jericho in TNA, but only if we're actually sure he's coming. Personally, I'd love to see it happen, but at this stage it seems very unlikely.

Rhino gored Sabu after the bout and they brawled all over. It was announced that Sabu will face Abyss at Unbreakable. I was a little surprised that they're making the X Title match a 3-way. That's not too bad if it just sets up singles matches between them down the road. I'm also surprised they aren't pushing a Lynn/Waltman rematch. But you can't tell too much from these spoilers anyway. Jarrett's absence is appreciated. I know he'll be on the shows in promos or something, but what makes me happy is that the title match is focusing on the champ and the challenger. Imagine that.

    Matt Bentley gone from TNA

Moore is pretty much a lock to sign with TNA as soon as his no-compete is over. The best place for Jeff is in a tag team, and since Shannon is supposedly such good pals with the Hardys, its a no-brainer. I think its the best use of both men. "The James Gang" has already been copyrighted by TNA, so its pretty much set that BG and Kip are going to team up at some point. The only question is how will the angle play out. TNA would be stupid not to reunite one of the most popular tag teams ever, even if its under a different name.

    Matt Bentley gone from TNA

I like both Bentley and Kazarian, but I honestly wouldn't mind if they didn't make a return. I mean, look at TNA's tag division: AMW, the Naturals, James Gang (soon), the Dudleyz (soon), Team Canada, Siaki/Apolo, Diamond/Young, and Hardy/Shannon Moore (soon). That's eight teams right there, and there's always potential to make more.
