I've been checking out a bunch of brands lately in my quest to make the perfect Gibson (a martini that takes a cocktail onion instead of an olive - much better than it sounds). I make them all 8:1 gin:vermouth, using Martini & Rossi dry vermouth and those 'tipsy onions' that are spiked with vermouth. (Very nice, incidentally.) Bombay Sapphire: A little flat for my taste. I'd take a sip and just wonder when the flavor was going to kick in. Perfectly acceptable, but possibly a bit too complex for my palate. Either that or just not flavored well. Tanqueray: A Perfectly Acceptable Gin. Very nice, and definitely something I'll drink again. Seagrams: I love it. The flavor is very bright without being annoying, and it goes well with the flaver of the onion. Possibly a bit too much bite, but right now I'm leaning on it. So, basically, I'm enjoying the cheapest gin the most. Something seems wrong here. Any other brand suggestions from fellow TSMers?

Mass. court turns over gay marriage ban
Ace309 replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Just fyi, and I don't have a cite for this handy because I read it in this morning's Buffalo NEWS (so it was probably of Knight-Ridder or AP), there was specific language in the opinion referring to marriage as a union of two "to the exclusion of all others." While that does end up being circular - Polygamy is banned because we banned the marriage of someone to more than one person - it does present a safeguard in the state law. More broadly, and here I'm relying entirely on the news article, the opinion seemed to be reasoned on the basis of encouraging committed unions between people and the resulting families, rather than "transient" ones. Setting aside all debate about whether a gay civil union can constitute a family in the same way that a heterosexual civil union can (the court obviously thinks it can), the opinion seems to say that only unions between two people encourage that sort of commitment. -
Why, Stevie, of course.

I'm all for a totally incongruous "showgirl" match that brings the completely unnecessary return of William Regal for one night only. No doubt there'll also be a Legal In Utah Match in the tradition of last year's Legal In Nevada Match, where someone wins the Hos but has to marry all of them.

I don't remember any of the details of this, except that a few weeks after Cena's debut they shot an angle at Smackdown where he came out wearing surfer-era Sting-style facepaint. It never ended up airing, obviously. What was up with that?

He's Stryke. He spent his prize money from eliminating Xstasy from Clusterfuck on throwback jerseys and porn.

Article on Rob Black/Lizzy Borden's (XPW owners)
Ace309 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Doesn't sound like anything I'd ever want to watch, or that I'd think sane people watched... but I really, really, REALLY wish the highest court in the land would get away from the "I'll know it when I see it" standard for determining what's obscene and what's acceptable. -
I'm automatically suspicious of any smark darling female worker now. Gail broke my heart. heh

BLOOD. His BLOOD is blue.

I dub this poster Son Of OJ Hart.

Why, because they're small, of course. Only guys Brock's size or bigger are credible, because as we know none of Mysterio's moves could ever conceivably hurt anyone.

Did you say "crappy?" I'm sure you meant "wacky."

.... wow, Strangler, that was a really good post.

Just judging from my own sports injuries, I'd be inclined to sell my shoulders in between rubbing my neck and cringing, and relying on the commentators to explain that the interrelation of muscles causes the whole head, neck and shoulder assembly to hurt like a bitch if you throw one of them off.

Well, I don't want to say that was phoned in, but I'm really glad the home office's answering machine tape was long enough to record that whole column.

So how would your wrestler answer these quetions What is your real name? Thomas M. Flesher. Where do you live? I live in Buffalo, where I was going to college until I took a year off to actively pursue the SWF as my full-time career. What's your marital status and do you have kids? Single and looking... no kids. Christ, I'm only 22. Who's your best friend outside of kayfabe? Hm... with CIA gone, probably Hearford and Fasaki. You get to know someone really well when you train with them every night of the week. I enjoy a drinking binge with Francis, too. (I'll never forget the night we were out at the bars and the DJ played the Bouncing Souls' "East Coast Fuck You" for no good reason. That's got to be the longest running gag in the history of the locker room.) Who's your favourite WWE Wrestler? I love Christian's character, but anyone who doesn't wet himself over Benoit and Angle doesn't deserve to call himself a fan. Who's you favourite Other wrestler (US Indies or Japan)? Well, there's Brian Danielson (American Dragon). Give him some time and he'll be the top worker in the world. A lot of my in-ring stuff has been taken from Dick Togo and Jushin Lyger, so I have to mention them. What's your favourite match to watch? Jushin Lyger vs. Dick Togo from 1996. Just incredible. Who's your favourite band or singer? Well, since I'm really high on the Buffalo scene, I could tell you but no one would know who they were. What's your favourite album? Tough one... Can I get back to you? What's your favourite song? Kashmir. Easy. What's your favourite film? "My Blue Heaven" with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis. Which sporting teams/franchises do you support? The Buffalo Sabres (shut your mouth, Zenon), the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club and the local college sports teams. What sports do you play? I've wrestled Greco-Roman for years now, which is where so much of my style comes from. I also enjoy a good round of beer pong. and finally... if you weren't a wrestler what WOULD you be? Well, I was on the pre-law track at the university. When I retire I'll probably go back and get my JD, and then I'll either end up as a lawyer or a politician.

There wasn't, I don't believe, a storyline to explain why there were more Tiger Masks. It was just a popular gimmick and it made sense to give the mask to a new worker. Tiger Mask was Sayama, II was Misawa, III was Koji Kanemoto, and I don't believe IV's identity has been revealed yet.

If only because of his known preferences for younger women, yes. Absolutely right. I remember being really excited about him coming in, and then... blah. I seem to recall PWI and the other Apter Mags giving him the hard sell for a while, but he was just really... really bad.

I still say they should bring Austin back under the Mr. America mask.

I own a Justice & Rule Hoodie, and so does the OAOAST's very own Calvin Szechstein. I'll probably be picking up a Team Horrorcore golf shirt when I get some damn income.

And the SWF and SJL are, to our knowledge, the only matchwriting fed on the net. A few others have started up but died quickly, which is unfortunate.
