Ah damn, that sucks in a way. First pro sporting event I went to was a Tigers game there. I seemed to always end up in the right field bleachers. Good times, even if they sucked most of the time that I was old enough to drive down there.

Tigers pull it out against Tampa in the bottom of the 13th after tying the game with two runs in the bottom of the 9th. Granderson with an RBI single to win. Pretty cool.

Yeah, if I remember right, beat the Raw season and a SD season and that unlocks the unlimited CAW points. Gamefaqs should have it listed to be sure on how the unlimited points are opened up.
-
You could just plow thru the 2 seasons(Raw n SD) on the lowest difficulty, and get the unlimited CAW points from that. I don't remember it taking too long if that is the goal.
-
That I can see your point in.

If only Jeter could pitch also, you'd be all set.

Yeah, Jones has been terrible. Rodney before tonight had something like a .128 BA against and has an ERA of 1.91 now. But that line posted of the bullpen meltdown tonight just hurts. All things considered, the trends of the Tigers lately isn't good, but overall they are still fighting for top spot in the central. Could be worse.

Yankees team era is 4.23, seventh in MLB and second in the AL. It's not the end all be all stat, but lets keep the NY ranting about your pitching in perspective. Even with Johnson falling apart, the Yanks seem to be holding up on the pitching end, and don't they lead the league in runs? Toronto has definitely had the chances to bang Bonderman around tonight. I'm hoping the Tigers can hold on and get out of this with the win. After being slapped around the past week and a half, this would make 2 in a row for them.

I use mine alot. Homemade chicken noodle soup( I gotta use a thickener, I don't like a thin broth), pot roast, chili left simmering on a winters day, and my favorite lately is a bbq meatball recipe I just tried out. Made subs from it for a few days. As for leaving it on, it depends on the recipe and what you are doing. For the soups and such, it can be left on all day on a lower setting with occasional stirring. The bbq meatballs,I put them together and cooked the meatballs themselves for a bit til they were ready for the slow cooker. Then I cooked them on a higher setting til the sauce thickened, then left it on the lowest setting for an hour or two. All ready for when the better half got home. I like using it, as once whatever you made is put together, you usually don't have to sit and watch over it.

The Tigers continue the freefall back to reality, losing another one to an upper tier team(Cintron got them again), as well as losing outfielder Monroe to injury last night. At least they are being competitive in most of these games. No complaints here, as they are still far ahead of where they have any right to be. And if all else fails, they have a four game set with Tampa Bay coming up. Maybe they can be Detroits' slumpbuster.

Ah damn it. I can't get the local broadcast for the Tigers tonight, so I'm forced to watch ESPN's coverage. So I get Chris Berman slobbering all over the Yanks for 3 hours. Ugh. Suppose this could of went into the ESPN sucks thread. Here's hoping they can get at least the one win tonight from the Yankees. This series has been the drop back to reality.

Mike Maroth will be having surgery to remove bone chips in his pitching elbow. A bummer, but hopefully they can get around it until he gets back(the 0 for 3 vs the Yankees so far not withstanding).
-
Tigers down 4-0 vs the Yankees. Bonderman pitching today and is unusually wild. His two seam fastball has been all over the place. They can't seem to touch Randy Johnson.
-
Tigers getting slapped around 9-0 vs Cleveland. Not complaining as it's bound to happen sooner or later. Upcoming this week are the Yankees and Red Sox, so hopefully they get it out of there system and can go .500 this week.
-
Maroth did have some problems earlier in the year with his elbow, they were able to work around it with an off day and rain out. Guess being shelled yesterday was the breaking point. Hope it isn't too serious.
-
Tigers were able to shut out the Royals tonight. Complete game for Verlander(1st one). Hopefully they can rack up the wins this week against KC and do well against Cleveland on the weekend, as the Yankees and Red Sox are the opponents the week after. And to show how little I pay attention to the local news, looks like my little town is getting the single A team of the Devil Rays next year. That's kinda cool.

If only you took that money spent on A-Rod and some of the fossils pitching, and put it into research. You could of cloned Jeter and played one of them at third.

Fun game in Detroit. Griffey's grand slam was a bummer, but Curtis Granderson tying it in the 9th then Detroit winning in their first extra inning game this year was great. Weather's pitching combined with Lopez's terrible throw choked it off for the Reds though.
-
I keep waiting for the Tigers to come back to reality, but the pitching still seems to be holding up. Hopefully the young guys (Bonderman, Verlander, etc) don't run into problems with arm injuries. Todd Jones has been shakey as closer, but with only one blown save, it could be worse. Magglio Ordonez seems to be getting back to from of a few years ago, which is a big help. With about a quarter of the season done, I couldn't ask for much more.

Cornuts, BBQ chex mix (though I can't find it anymore), they were required for class after lunch in high school. Nowadays, fresh quick-bake blueberry muffins rule, or chicken strips with honeymustard..

Who here supports the current administration?
Kismet replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Current Events
Landslide? 50.7 vs 48.3%, 286 vs 251(and 1 to Edwards)electoral votes, and it basically came down to Ohio at the end. But don't let facts get in the way of hyperbole . Reagan/Mondale was a landslide. No I don't support this administration. Democrats "Anybody but Bush" tactics failed unfortunetly, and the fear tactics used by the Republicans worked on enough people. I hope for better choices from both sides next time around. -
Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Bonny Tyler, and some 80's-90's rock like Ozzy and GnR.
-
Shhh, don't give them any ideas, there is enough of that series coverage elsewhere. Watching the Tigers on tape-delay after the Red Wings fall apart.
-
Well done Oilers. Can't call it a choke job, as the Oilers just took it from them. But there needs to be some turnover on the roster, get a few new parts on the team. This combo of players just can't cut it any more. Too slow in some regards, to old and soft in others, and Legace just didn't cut it either. Guess by virtue of losing to them, I will root for the Oilers now.

And that looks to be it. Another disappointing year for the Wings. It seems like they are honestly built for the regular season, and yet another defensive breakdown leads to a goal.
