Undecided as of now. They are waiting for another ambulance to get back to the arena, but no announced decision. A meeting was held between the two General managers of the teams and the coach of Nashville. Edit: cancelled. Everyone is leaving.

Covered on ESPN News now. Edit: He went to the hospital, and was unconsious.(from the radio) #2. Interview with a suit says, a seizure, awake at the hospital
-
Yes it's Fischer, ambulance has left. No word on what it is. Edit: May have taken a puck to the throat. So says an eye witness. He didn't go to the hospital as of now.

A Red Wing player collapsed at the end of the bench. The game has been stopped, players left the ice. They won't release the name of who it is, and it wasn't caught on camera. They have taken his jersey off and looked to do cpr. The ambulance has arrived. Edit. They look to be bringing a girlfriend or wife over to the bench also..

Man I hope he doesn't have to go back to Russia. I don't want to have the "Hey, remember Ovechkin? Man, he was great, too bad he had to leave" conversation. I want the new wave of players to do well and flourish in the current version of the league. Edit: 900,000$ is all? Cool, that should be no problem.

Seriously Dama, what is with the hate for anything USC? This hate coming from what was the biggest homer on the boards for as long as I remember you posting. Not only were you such a homer that your team is the best and any who couldn't see it a fool, but you even were able to trump that when you jumped off the band-wagon as soon as they weren't a top contender. On top of that, you not only jumped off the band-wagon, you crashed it, set it on fire, then ran to the best team in your conference that was supposed to be a rival. Now you proudly trumpet the cause for them and bash guys who USED to go to USC, while sucking from the teat of Texas. Oh yeah, this is all suddenly because of you being a reporter and are suddenly objective. Homer to front-runner brought on by what I can only perceive as jealousy of a college team. I gotta read your shit in the College thread, but take your front-running hater b.s. elsewhere. On topic, man the Indy/Cincy game was much fun to watch. All that offense. Being a Lions fan, I don't see that many points in a month.

Wings speed issues get exposed again as they lose to the Oilers 6-5 in overtime. Maltby decides to be a dumb ass and run over the goalie Markkanen with about 15 seconds or so left. So a half a minute into overtime on a powerplay they score. Wings 0-3 on the Western Canada road trip, and reality slaps them in the face. They are still a good team, but nothing more for now.

I wish I could watch the Hurricanes and Senators, since the last time hockey was on my cable situation changed and now I don't get near as much hockey as I used to. Carolina took two from Ottawa? Cool. It's still a bit early to be handing the cup to anyone yet though. I watched my Wings get beat tonight also. A bummer, but McCarty got a goal, so even if it was against the Wings it was cool. They seem to still be an upper-tier team with a few weaknesses, and those could be shored up by the playoffs.

As far as Team Convict is concerned, this is mellow stuff. Hell, a law hasn't even been broken.

Stuart Scott is about due for a new show knowing ESPN...4 hours of Boo-Ya and other side of the pillow and such.

As my hockey coverage has changed dramatically since the last season they played, I can't see near as much of other teams as I want. So anyone who has watched them play much, what is up with Tampa Bay? From champs to barely a .500 record at the moment, what is wrong? Is it as simple as going with Grahame as the main goalie?( I see GA is 2.97) From watching them last year they seemed to be built for the new version of the league. Being as early in the season as it is, it's not time for their fans to panic, but I'm curious of others opinions.

Liberal Media Bias. Unmitigated bullshit. Sorry, just trying to fill a void.

That's cool. I don't begrudge fans of his. For me, he is on the list of punk bitches. I am always and will be for fighting in hockey, but a man his size should of just manned up if he wanted to get Moore that bad. Moore wasn't a Lemieux and trying to avoid any fights(if I remember correctly, he already had scrapped that game). It's just how I feel. Anyways, old discussion done to death. Hell of a player though. The hands he has for his size to puck handle the way he does is amazing. He had 2 goals against Detroit last night that were nifty moves.

Vancouver is up 4-1 on my Wings, cementing their superiority over them so far. Bertuzzi has a hat trick, too bad it wasn't someone else. Canucks are good fun to watch. Physical enough, and when they drive toward the net, the Wings were screwed.

As a Wings fan, it's just far too early to guess how well they will do. I already said here myself that they should fall back into the pack after the next few weeks. If on the very slight chance they keep rolling thru their next 2 road trips, then maybe start worrying about them doing something in the playoffs. I think Detroit as of now is about a 3-5 seed if I were to throw a guess out there.

PW Insider is saying Batista tore a muscle in his back.

"The People's Champion" Freddy Mitchell chimed in on ESPN News. It's all the media's fault, and he's really a good guy. Mitchell is sad this has happened to such a good guy. I'm sold, poor T.O.

Wings drop 2 in a row, both at home losing 4-1 to Phoenix tonight. Chelios shoots his mouth off to a ref and gets his dumb ass ejected. Now 12-2-1, still lead the league in wins, but have played 2 more games than a few 10 win teams like Carolina. They look to be coming back down to earth and probably will start sliding back into the pack in the west.
-
Edmonton's speed is too much for Detroit tonight and go down 4-3 in overtime. Oilers are fun to watch, I hope to see them more.
-
A month? That's a bit more than "not serious" Especially with the way the Boston fans say the Defensemen depth on the team is pretty weak.
-
The Wings schedule gets harder in the upcoming weeks. Starting on the 13th, they have two west coast trips sandwiching a 3 game homestand against Nashville, Colorado, and St Louis. The first trip west is the Western Canadian swing, then the second is California. By the end of the month we should have a better handle on how good the Wings really are. Only thing I've seen on Leetch is "it's not serious" and that he will miss the next game. Legacy is going to be ok from all reports so far. Just hope it doesn't become a lingering thing. Osgood is solid enough, but I'd prefer Legace back.
-
Wings win again, but Legace goes down with a knee injury. It's being called a slight knee sprain, so here's hoping it's very minor.
-
After reading the Simmons article, I have to ask anyone in/around Boston. Is the control of the media by the team really that bad? I couldn't imagine trying to glean information from that if it's true. I guess that's what the internet is for.

Yeah, I saw that after I posted. Does he belong in the NHL as a coach or GM? Not sure. I assume after getting Russian Hockey GM job that he may be on peoples radar now. It will be at least some way to see what he can do, and be a transition from player to front office in the NHL. If he went cold from player to front office, it would be a bit strange.
