David Bowie. I was always far more of a McCartney fan than a Lennon one anyway, but I would probably take David's discography over that of the Beatles themselves. I think that you could put Hunky Dory, Station to Station and Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) up against any three Beatles albums in terms of quality, and the sheer range of the Bowie records would be far greater as well.
  2. I still think Marvin should be forced to justify his existence at the end of his suspension. Even if it doesn't result in a ban, much laughter should be had.

Highway 61 Revisited. Dylan was always a great lyricist, but I don't think that the musical element of his work was ever quite as fully realised as it was on this album. The production is clear and well suited, there are no mediocre songs (unlike "Rainy Day Woman # 12 & 35", "Obviously 5 Believers"and "Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat") and the album just has a better sound for me. They're two of my three favourite albums of his anyway, along with Bringing It All Back Home.
  4. Czech is going down in my estimation if that is him. I mean, sweatpants, come on.
  5. I think that actually is Dandy.
  6. I was convinced it was Dandy at first as well, but then I realised that he once told me he's never taken drugs.
  7. I'm proud to be the only other person you deemed worthy of the topless treatment! Edit: oh wait, Milky and Edwin. I'm in with the in crowd.
  8. I think my stomach bug is clearing up as I'm starting to eat full meals again, albeit not in the ungodly portions I usually consume: Lunch: pork, roast potatos, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, gravy, peas and parsips Tea: white bread and chicken drumsticks I also ate a packet of prawn cocktail crisps.
  9. I set 'em up, and Dandy knocks 'em right down.
  10. You know Luke-O, if I could respond to that with a mixture of classical music and repeated farting, then I would.
  11. Hey everybody, I'm about to start posting in the WWE folder again.
  12. I'm pretty sure The Coat Is My Father's exclusive pick time has elapsed.
  13. The LSD section itself is a blatant case of false advertising, when I signed up I expected nothing but erect penis threads. Since TwiztedMind has already revealed that I'm a homosexual, I feel perfectly comfortable to divulge this information.
  14. Bigolsmitty, what's gotten into you?
  15. Does "Tories" mean the same thing in Canada that it does in England?
  16. Invader3k should venture into My Chocolate Socket more regularly.
  17. Rick-rolls should never be performed without using a page with the "50 clicks to leave" feature.
  18. Pink Floyd - Animals (1977) For my money, this is the best album that Pink Floyd ever released. This collection only contains four real songs, what's amazing about it is that (much like on Wish You Were Here really, but the total inverse of Meddle) none of them ever meander off point. In my opinion, this record's strength can be summarised by two things. David Gilmour's guitar playing, and Roger Waters' lyrics. Therefore, "Dogs", which is wonderful in both the musical and lyrical departments, is easily the best track on here. That's not to undercut "Pigs", which features both excellent keyboard work and scathing social satire, or "Sheep", which builds to a feeling of paranoia rarely witnessed in the oral realm. Both "Pigs on the Wing" tracks act as welcome respites from the constant seriousness of the rest of the album, and despite their clipped nature it feels more complete for having them. Despite the fact that the average song here is some 6 minutes longer than the average song on The Wall, this never drowns in its own pretentiousness like that album does. An absolutely stunning record.
  19. I've been playing guitar for a year and a half. I'm told that I'm improving at a rapid pace, but who knows?
  20. The Pit seems to just be a mad-lib of TSM anyway.
