I love myself Seriously, it's all good if we are going to get more RAW broadcasts like tonight. It's true at least HHH is jobbing to make things more interesting. I'm not one of Jericho's biggest supporters like others on the net, but could the guy be buried anymore? I mean he talks all this crap about not being in a world title match in 3 YEARS and he still loses and CLEAN. They made the guy a joke. He loses the ladder match for the contract at Mania. He jobs in the I-C title match on ppv sunday and he jobs again tonight. I guess he's on job duty til his contract runs out.

I'm starting to think someone else besides Trips will win this tournament. Don't get to happy as that might be Batista's only title defense against another competitor before facing Triple H in HIS match for the title at Vengence in the HIAC. Yeah, so, I think someone like Benoit will win to make Batista look really strong. HHH regains the title at the ppv. Silly me thinking Batista would at least get a reign until SummerSlam.

Okay, I guess Edge is not the #1 contender when he can get a title shot ahead of all contenders to the title. With the guaranteed shot he is the FIRST in-line.

I miss the days of seeing house show matches from Boston Garden, Madison Square Garden, and Maple Leaf Garden. Showing clips is not enough imo.

If everyone's loving Christian's attack on Cena, how much more fun would it be to see Jericho doing the same thing in a rock vs. rap war?

The negativity here is hilarious because it's true The wwe is screwed up, so who knows what the hell this all means. I still wonder what Edge will do with his #1 contendership Really, I can see why people lose faith with this company with all of its logic gaps. However, if this leads to draft night's title match wouldn't it be funny for Christian and Edge to be screwed of the title shot by being sent to smackdown. E and C up against Cena would work. Hey, that battle royal Rumble 94 finish is ridiculous. I'm just glad they don't ruin Hogan/Orndorff's steel cage finish by copying it.

How is it that the "real rapper" John Cena has not done verses like this in MONTHS and Christian has? I want to see Cena's response if they allow him to really respond. People may sway back to Cena's side.

I guess RAW is copying Smackdown creative and HHH wins this tournament.

Funny isn't it? They rehash every friggin thing else, but ignore doing house show the way of the 80's when it did big business. Of course, I'm sure someone's told Vince this and he got angry(Trish comes to mind). I bet they just feel it's too much work. They half-assed it with the Rumble qualification matches this year. Sure, some things are test runs for future storylines, but it's not like they only have one house show a month or something. It can be done. The wrestlers would also have to work with coming up with different finishes around the circuit like the days of Backlund's reign. It's just laziness imo. If they were doing big business like the attitude era in 1999-2000 I can see the reason for not changing, but they aren't. The only excuse is laziness.

EXACTLY!!!!!! So, what does that say about Matt Hardy fighting over a whore whining on the net? Then take into account he lost his job over the slut. He will look like a man-bitch, while Edge took his girl. Edge is a player when you look at his record of infidelity. Then consider he played his friend Matt for a fool and how does Hardy look good in all of this? I bet if they do run this angle Edge will somehow become the face with this creative team's inept "creativity".

I think if there is no champion switch the only real guys who have a chance of dethroning Cena are a heel Eddie or Kurt Angle. JBL won't get the belt back unless some unseen circumtances happen(which was a reason he got the belt in the first place). Anyone who gets a long title reign usually doesn't win the title back right away especially when they didn't imrpove business. Diesel never touched the belt again. HTM never touched the IC title again. Randy Savage took years before winning the title again after his year run as champion in 1988. JBL is also doing the HBK/Rock shctick with the real belts and we know how that turned out for them. The Rock got the title over a year later. Then you got to take into account what the hell could they do entertaining with JBL with the strap again when he went over everybody besides Cena as champion. Of course, they could bring people from RAW to smackdown for burial, but if the rumour of HBK coming over is true I can't see JBL going over him at all and rightfully so. Batista within the December-present stage was much more over than Brock was when they turned him face from Survivor Series to WrestleMania 19. Overall, Brock was more over though, but Batista didn't exactly get the push from hell either. Hogan can't even do a legdrop, how could he be champion?

I think this tourney thing might have been laid out for the U.S. title. Remember, there were talks they wanted things to be title vs. title at Mania. Somewhere I guess they felt having Cena job to Orlando Jordan would add heat to the match which it might have. OJ is just in limbo and they gave Cena his clean win a couple weeks ago. They just shifted the tourney to the wwe title. It could also have been the plan for Orton to face the winner of the tourney if he had switched shows post Mania as champion. Who knows, I always try to see why they do certain things and match it up with rumours sometimes.

It's funny how you mention Brock Lesnar because it seems like Batista is what they wanted Lesnar to be in terms of face heat. The Animal gimmick is the same as Brock's Vanilla Gorilla and "animalistic characteristics". Brock Lesnar vs. Batista is a money match now. Benjamin is also getting a bit of Brock's push as well. They seem to be focusing on him being a great athlete with a college background that can do things in the ring that others can't. That was apart of Brock's push in 2002 with his training promos and the length of his reign is similar. I still believe if Brock Lesnar stayed in the wwf he would have probably got JBL's push as the long reigning champion.

What happens if the ECW ppv does bigger numbers than the brand only ppv shows? Would there be some epople demanding ECW to return or even replace smackdown as the secondary brand? Some internet "critic" makes a claim that ECW could replace smackdown next year.

nah cuz Christian isn't bland and boring. It just depends on if he's a babyface when he wins it, which i doubt. Okay, we'll see. I still believe some of Christian's appeal is that he's a JTTS, while people like Edge is forced down people's throat. If they put the title on Christian within the next few months he will be screwed. Eddie was MUCH more over than Christian before he got the title and look how they botched that? Eddie won the title out of nowhere and it didn't really help Eddie at all.

Overall, Austin was always more popular. The thing with The Rock though was there were times when he had the crowd eating out of his hands that even Austin couldn't do. Anyone remember the time Rock came walking down the aisle and the crowd was heavily responding to him? I think it was the first time he did "It doesn't matter what your name is" to the camera man. The Rock was a walking promo that night and I have never seen anything like it since. Another thing is that The Rock seemed like he learned from Austin's promo style. The mannerism and catchphrase points were taken from Austin imo. The Rock's downfall was that he started to do promos where it didn't really make you want to see the match. Austin on the other hand made you want to see his matches and his promos seemed less by the numbers for the most part in 1998-2000. I know some will disagree, but the way Rock was booked has something to do with his fall in popularity as well. I still think Rock being a choker when it counted made him seem inferior to Austin who always backed his talk. It's a little thing, but it wa a big thing. Rock jobbing at WM 16 was the height of his popularity and has never been there since. Austin at Backlash that year with Rock winning is the pinnacle of btoh men's face heat imo. They went downhill from there. However, for guys like Cena and Batista to get there will be very hard to say the least.

Reading RRR's post I think Vince might be right not to do this angle. Matt Hardy will end up looking like a putz. They have to get Lita from Kane whom she doesn't hate anymore. She gets with Edge and then Matt Hardy comes in angry that Lita left him for Kane and now Edge? He would look like a punk and knowing how the fans are they will start cheering Edge for being a player. They could have done this angle starting at Mania by having Matt in the ladder match instead of Kane. They probably blew it already. They could have Matt team up with Trish to go against Lita and Edge and it would have really worked.

There are some on the net predicting Christian becoming WWE Champion at SummerSlam along with Edge winning the world heavyweight title at the event with an ending of Christian/Edge pciture pose. Sounds good, but highly unlikely. Putting the title on Christian any time soon would be blowing their wad imo. Christian is a good choice for the traditional Rumble/Mania push. If they put the title on Christian where can they really go without things looking like it was booked on the fly with no purpose? Christian would also get turned on imo just like Randy Orton.

I think the irony with Chrisitian is that he hardly wins which might be why fans are getting behind him. Watch once they start pushing him everybody on the net will start to say he is squashing people. The only persons to avoid the rise to the top backlash in recent years were Eddie and Benoit and even then they weren't really pushed in that fashion. Vince Russo would know what to do with this situation. The wwe writers today will just screw it up once they acknowledge the scenario Lita/Edge/Matt are in. Man, I wonder how things would have been in 1991 in wcw with the internet if Flair got fired. I mean it is Matt Hardy of all people(although he did have a cult following with his brother).

Hogan might not even be able to to the legdrop much more to have a real singles match. Unless, they are saving the leg drop for Hogan's last match for a huge pop, but I doubt it. HBK might believe he can get a classic out of Hogan for his last match. I don't know it just seems like a style clash. It seems Hogan wants a match with Austin and we know why. He wants that huge heat against the man who can be arguably his equal in the history books. Austin might not want to jeopardize his place in history by booed against Hogan which I'm really starting to believe will surely happen.

Well, if you think Cena won't be champion after 6 months that would mean he will lose in September. I don't think Cena is going to lose that belt any time soon if he stays on smackdown. I think he'll be champion til at least Survivor Series. He's dropping a CD this month and coming out with a movie in the summer. Remember Vince wanted him to win the title at SummerSlam. So, Cena most likely won't lose any time soon. It depends on the draft and who comes over. I would not be surprised to see Hassan going over Cena for the belt. The wwe title seems to be the belt to get the newer or unproven stars(JBL last year) over now. Kurt Angle is another prospect if he stays on smackdown. I think the next title that Eddie may win is actually the world heavyweight title. Christian won't win the belt. They will balk with the small Chrisitian.
