    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

Hey there. First of all, Thanks for the grammer correction. I appreciate it. Secondly, I don't like making the winners clear, in case someone hasn't seen the show. I always think this way would be better, if someone just wanted to look a show/set to buy, and what had the better matches in someone's opinions. Or if someone hasn't seen the show in forever like me, and doesn't remember any of the winners and doesnt want the show wrecked. That's my personal opinion towards that. Thirdly, I'll take that into consideration, although I really can't help myself from putting haha. I was putting lol, you're lucky I changed it

    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

I wasn't offended. I just figured it may help to get some opinions that could be used to improve your work in the future. Telling me I don't have to read them if I don't want to isn't something you want to say, either. Nobody has to read anything from anyone. If that's your response to anything other than praise, well, you'll find out in short order how unhappy you are when people stop reading something you put time into. =) I'm not trying to be a jerk bro, but that's exactly the thing. I'm not getting happy with praise, and I'm not getting too angry with critisism. It's just I'm writing these for myself, I'm mainly posting them just for some conversations on the Wrestlemania's again, with a bases to remember a tiny bit about the matches and feuds. Nothing major, just a little thing to look at and be like hey, that was when the Rockers were really on fire and starting to win against marquee teams. I'm personally writing these for myself, because I love looking back at my ratings on matches. I've reviewed a few shows before, and sometimes I go back and I'm like.. Whoa. That was so much better than I remembered.. or so much worse. I do FULLY appreciate you're critisism though, and I am going to try and put that into my next review. (Wrestlemania VIII or IX) So I do thank you for you taking you're time to read it, and post you thoughts on me becoming a more effective writer. It means a lot knowing that people out there still care for others, and really want to help them be the best they can. So again, Thank you.

    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

What exactly do you mean? By that, I meant one of the only main tag teams to never have a variation in that time. Now that I think about it, I was definately wrong. I guess I was just thinking of Demolition, because I started writing the review during that match. And because they were facing the Heenan Family, and they changed a few times.

    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

Demolition consisted of Smash and Crush at this point; Ax was long gone. You are SO right. Wow.. Sorry about that one. >> ME! lol
  5. What site is that off of?

    WCW PPV 2000

Knoble & Karagias v. Three Count v. Jung Dragons from Starrcade was pretty good too.

    WCW PPV 2000

Halloween Havoc - The Filthy Animals v. The Natural Born Thrillers v. The Boogie Knights

    The War

If that match happens on PPV, it makes for a pretty shitty undercard. How do you figure? It'd free up a bunch of Pay Per View space for the X-Division guys. If it happened in the next few months.. With that match we could have... WAR GAMES Christian, Sting, Rhino, Team 3D v. Jarrett, Monty, Abyss, AMW - 50 minutes. (4 minutes intervals) Sonjay Dutt v. Petey Williams - 15 Minutes. AJ Styles v. Alex Shelley - 15 Minutes. Roderick Strong & Austin Aries v. Chris Sabin & Matt Bentley - 15 minutes. Samoa Joe v. Christopher Daniels - 25 minutes. Raven v. Mystery Opponent (Sabu) - 9 minutes Killings & Konnan v. Kip James & BG James - 5 minutes Then on the Pre-Show; Eric Young & Bobby Roode v. The Naturals - 6 minutes. Shark Boy & Amazing Red v. Elix Skipper & David Young w/ Simon Diamond - 4 minutes. That would leave you with about 45 minutes for Video packages, New Angles, Backstage Skits. And potentially you have 5 matches pretty much garunteed to be ***+, and 3 of those could be ****+ Raven v. Sabu could be a good street fight too. The 4 Live Kru stuff would be kept short and inoffensive.

I have the Wrestlemania Anthology Collection

Hey Rudo, do the VHS WM Collection have clipped matches? Just wondering..

I have the Wrestlemania Anthology Collection

I love the collection. The few edits don't really bother me, as I'm only 18, and really dont remember many of the themes. As for the blurring, I really dont care much, as Wrestlemania 14 through 16 I'll probably never watch more than once or twice anyway. Wrestlemania 17 It'll bug me though, I'll probably just buy that DVD someplace. I can't wait for the other big four to get their DVD Releases too. Summerslam, King of the Ring, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble. I'll be first in line to buy them all.

    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

Okay, here's a perfect example of why I think star ratings are worthless. They're subjective to the person writing the review, but there's not much here to prove why you gave it the amount of snowflakes you did. A sentence isn't really solid justification for a star rating. But don't worry, because you aren't alone. Most people who use the star rating system make the same error. The overall style of the review is a bit clunky, too. I don't know if this is soley meant for casual discussion about the event. If it's not, then this bad boy needs to cleaning up. Regardless, the format is too faithful to the typical reviews I've seen on shows like this. Nearing 2006, if you're going to be rehashing a repeatedly used concept like reviewing a Wrestlemania, it's going to need something different about it. The format, phrases and general opinions are nearly identical to everything I've read on the show. That's not to say Bravo/Tornado should be getting high praise, but if there's nothing new to say on the show that hasn't already been stated time and time again, what's the point? Nice stab, but I'd take on a lesser reviewed show. Bahaha. just joking!!! I'm reviewing these for myself, because I enjoy writing. I'm posting them not to "raise up as a reviewer" but for discussion on the matches and such. Just for fun bro, nothing more. And I know the Wrestlemania's have been done a lot, but with getting the box-set, I just really wanted to watch them all. Sorry if I offended you in anyway by doing the review, but I'm going to keep doing them, and probably in the same way. Maybe I will try and add in more reasoning for the star ratings you don't have to read them either, if you don't want too. After these are done though, I'm going to start into my other DVDs. I plan on reviewing every wrestling DVD I have.

    Wrestlemania VII DVD Review.

The DVD set is the full shows. No matches are clipped, everything is in full. Mr. Perfect v. Bossman was something like.. 4 minutes on the Coliseum Video version. It's 10 minutes on the DVD. A lot of matches in Wrestlemania 1-7 we're clipped on the Coliseum versions, so this set is great. Wrestlemania 7 runs about 3 hours 40 minutes or something on the DVD. The Coliseum version was about an hour less, at least. The Rockers interview was held at the actual Pay-Per-View, backstage. Like the numerous other interviews before matches. Most weren't put on the Coliseum or VHS versions due to time constraints. I can't wait for Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, and Summerslam sets to be released on DVD.

    Best squash/one-sided matches

Bobby Roode v. Christian Cage from TNA Impact last week. Christian got squashed haha.

    TNA Spoilers

Humm. Looks like we're going to get a few pretty good matches in the next three weeks. As for the 4 Like Kru problem? Expect some backstage stuff to happen. They normally film a bunch of stuff and don't show it to the live crowd because they want their ratings to go up and because it would just make the show extremely drawn out. All of the backstage stuff including meetings, vingettes, interviews, pep talks, confrontations are filmed during or after the show, but are never released during the tapings. This WILL be on the show. I don't think TNA is that stupid to not have them. As for the run-ins? I think they may have overdone it, but they need to. Why? Because if people watch one week and Christian isn't on their. They're not going to be happy campers. Not to mention, it's hard for TNA, because they do only have an hour. If TNA had 2 hours, I read someplace that they would increase the "big" match times on T.V. and add more angle advancement. Not neccessarily more matches. Take Impact last week for example. With two hours, that whole 4 Live Kru thing would of been extended. Cause it was WAY too short, regardless if you hate them or like them. The Naturals & Jeff Hardy v. Jeff Jarrett & America's Most Wanted probably would of been extended to about 15 minutes. So yeah, I think TNA is on the right track. They just won't be on the perfect track until they get two hours. Maybe they should aim for Saturday Morning at like.. 10-12 or 11-1. It's not a great time-slot, but it would probably bring up ratings a little bit because A) They're would NOT be as many people working and B) It's not on a weekend night when people are going to get drunk, party, and chill.

    TNA Turning Point

I agree with everything you said. Except you're closeing statement. It's the second best "wrestling" match and third best match I've seen AJ in. #1 is from Ring of Honor where Paul London faces AJ Styles in a true classic. #2 is from TNA and that would be the Petey Williams v. AJ Styles v. Chris Sabin Ultimate X Match. This is #3.

    TNA Turning Point

Konnan gets the chair…and then KILLS KIP JAMES! Roode covers Kip and that’s all. Winners: Team Canada @ 7:27 via pin BG and Konnan argue and Ron is in now. Konnan takes out BG as well! Ron just looks on. He says hit me too asshole! Konnan hugs him but Ron is pissed.

Sorry bro. That's not fun. Look at the brightside, if you get it sometime soon you can call you're Cable Provider and get it for remainder free. =)

    TNA Turning Point

Humm.... - Looks like a solid card. - AJ/Joe will deliver no doubt. - The X-Division tag should be great. - Alex Shelley has one of the best gimmicks in TNA right now. - Jarrett v. Rhyno will be overbooked. But entertaining. - Brown/Christian should be alright. Brown is decent in the ring. - Christian should pick up his first win. - Raven's feud with Larry Z is fun for me. So this should help. - The 4 Life Kru should be kept in a small dose. - Shark Boy should fight on the Pre-Show against Jarelle Clark. - Again, Alex Shelley is the most entertaining guy in TNA. - Jeff Hardy on the Pre-Show? Yikes. - The Barb-Wire match should be pure fun if nothing else. - Hopefully Petey hits the Destroyer on Konnan, so he'll stop wrestling. - Team 3D v. AMW should be aright. AMW is entertaining. - I want the Naturals to be on the Pay-Per-View. They are awesome. - Oh well, at least they're on the Pre-Show. - The Baseball Brawl should be fun. Sabin and Dutt are great. - Tolberg was decent for a man his size. - Diamonds in the Rough can be alright as long as Young wrestles most. - And Skipper doesnt run the ropes. Looks solid to me =)

    TNA Impact! Thread for 12/8/05

Don't forget Claudio. The comb = the ratings. Add Delirious and we are set =)
  20. Now, I guess this could of been posted in the other thread, but I always have bad luck with getting my questions answered. My dad is buying me a bunch of small gifts (DVDs, Games, Clothes), plus one gift that is $250ish or more. Now I'm from Canada, so it's is more than $250. Anyway. I had a few questions about the set, and he wanted to know what I wanted so I have to tell him soon. Oh and don't worry about the blurring, while it bothers me, it won't make me not want something. What's the set like in General? How is Wrestlemania 17 thru 21 fit onto 1 disc? Are any matches cut out? Scratch that.. are ANY matches CLIPPED in general? I hate clipped matches. Is it worth buying? How's the video quality? How's the audio on the older Wrestlemania's? Thanks! - Nate

    Trimming the Fat

I agree with Carnival. No need to cut Sharky, Jeff Hardy, Devine, Hoyt, Clark Young, or Riley. Besides Hardy, none of them to much else but job. And all of them can make their opponents look good. Not to mention Sharky and Hoyt are over with the fans. And Riley is entertaining. the Naturals shouldn't be borderline, they are TNA's best tag team. Period.

    I'm Not Feeling Survivor Series

anyone got some updated results? please?
  23. And it puts Sabu over in the long run because although Abyss' one fear will be common knowledge, he'd be the only one crazy/hardcore enough to use it to his advantage. It's subtleties like that, which have come out with no promo time whatsoever, that make this feud so much better than Abyss/Hardy, which was really just "I like to jump from high places vs I like to put people through tables." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> look at the brightside. a) it didnt involve a chick. b) it was a feud, not in the main event. c) the feud lasted for awhile, instead of being dropped after 2 weeks. 100 times better than WWE, regardless of the competitors.
  24. I LOVE this feud. Abyss is REALLY the best big man in the business today. And Sabu is well... Sabu. He can still go. Add some X-Matches with at least 6 of Joe/Daniels/AJ/Petey/Bentley/Sabin/Aries/Strong/Shelley/Dutt Add a Sharky win on the Pre-Show and a Christian Cage match and ill be ALL over this PPV.
  25. Yes. Do it =) EDIT: 5352 now =)
