I only remember him getting cheered over Edge really, since I've never seen his match with Benoit. He got huge pops, and even chants while he faced Shelton Benjamin.. the Benoit/Orton match was more in the favour of Benoit, but Orton still had alot of pops for a heel.
-
Because as I said in my earlier post, he was putting on pretty damn good matches every night. Although with great talent, who could carry just about anyone (Benoit, RVD, Benjamin, Edge)... Plus to me, I thought he played heel very effectively, and for awhile (while in evolution) had the best entrance on RAW, with an awesome pyro. Best entrance right now goes to Christian, and Edge's ain't too bad either.

Alright I said I'd leave my opinoins after a few replies.. thanks for all the feedback and replies guys and ladies. Anyway, while Orton's matches are never bad, and normally actually some of the best on the card (Pretty much from late 2003 - till about now), normally within the top 2 on the card. vs RVD, vs Benjamin, vs Benoit... all are decent-good workers, but Orton had to carry his own weight. Orton's restholds are for the most part boring, but at least he adds drive to them, and torque to make them look better. If I must say, he does the best Boring Restholds in the company right now. While he does get some of the best pops still at houses shows and probably live events, he does lack something in charisma. Maybe that will come someday.. but as of now he is a really generic face. Orton is decent while giving heel promos (I loved the Bad Blood 2004 promo he gave, one of the best PPV promos in a long time).. but sucks at face promos. Overall I would say Orton was pushed too fast, but is still a relatively good talent. And I'm gonna get bashed for this, but to me Orton is a better wrestler & talker than Batista.. although I do like them both. So in Final Words, Orton was pushed too fast, too soon, but still should have a good future because he is a decent talent.

I used to love Shawn Michaels entrance gear in 1995.. but that kinda was just then when I was a mark... Bret and Owen's jackets were both classics to me.. Loved Alex Wright's jacket.. but the best ever right now is easilyChristian's Blazer and Pants!

stupid double post

What's Triple H supposed to say?... I beat Benoit last week.. but he's better than me? He's burying people as it's his character... I hate Triple H as much as the next person, and I hate his promo's.. I just dont see how it's burying people, when its his character to do so.
-
When your a wrestler, and your a heel.. you think your the best.. therefore your going to say your better then everyone else. Batista was part of Evolution, who also claimed to the best, therefore he said Batista could of went over there and won because he was part of Evolution. So How the hell does it bury people? It doesn't bury anyone as far as I'm concerned.. Mind you the promo still sucked ass.. And im not even a HHH fan, I cant stand the guy.

it looks more like a Gaunlet type match, where the winner moves on until he loses..

The New Rockers?... Please.. lets just forget about them... if they were faces they could of gotten over just fine..
-
were the Rockers ever a heel tag team? EDIT: and with what Chris brings up.. I think they should move the Tag Division over to RAW.. and let the cruiserweights be focused more on SD. That way both divisions would mean something.

It's quite funny how much of a Verbal Blow-Job Jannetty recieved all over this board and now that he's signed, it's almost 50/50... Does that mean if AJ or Daniels were to sign, all the hyping and loving you give them would turn the same way? Because in my books their the same as Jannetty.. Jannetty showed he still has it.. and he can bring the fans into a match unlike most wrestlers. He even sold the ankle, I mean that was awesome. No one else would of. The way he delayed the tap-out was great as well, the counters he used to get out, all great. He's creative. And its fun seeing him back.. and Yes I know AJ and Daniels are probably better wrestlers then Jannetty.

Another thing from useless moron Scott Keith: Was Mr. Perfect really supposed to win the 1990 Royal Rumble? (might be 1991)
-
My reaction is never going to cool.. I love seeing this guy and hes great in the ring too... He's already over, as long as they dont let him do nothing, his reaction should stay the same or even become stronger... this is the greatest news I've heard all weekend:)
-
If they were ever going to turn Flair face and let him face off one on one against Triple H in his last match.. that would be a wicked ass way to build up to it.
-
I agree with DiBiase and I.R.S those guys were gods at getting heat... also back in the day, wasn't Eddie Gilbert good at drawing heat?
-
Defiantely worth a download... It had a good pace, started a bit slower, then speed up. Some good work, and even from seeing Jannetty hit some signature spots on RAW... you wouldnt of thought he would of looked this great.. Actually come to think of it... give Smackdown as a whole a download this week. Besides the Luther/Booker/Heidenreich stuff.. it was probably the best Smackdown of the year, to date.
-
Did Faarooq eliminate himself in 1997 too? or did Amhed actually hit him?
-
eh, I knew someone was going to respond negitivly towards my Undertaker comment sence he isn't the most popular around here but I don't mind. everyone has different opinions on the guy, some hate him, so don't. I happen to be a huge fan of the guy and have been sence I started watching wrestling back in 97(even during the biker days). I enjoy his matches. his matches with Heidenreich was actually better than I thought they be. and even his matches with JBL were pretty good. and yes, I even enjoy the supernatural antics he does sometime. you have to sit back and just have fun watching. Its part of his gimick and its just mindless fun. the crowd seems to love it, and I enjoy it to. one of the reasons why I love the Taker charater. its something completly different from anything else in the WWE and I happen to enjoy the whole Gothic aspec. its just....Cool. and he definlly has the best entrance and theme song in all of WWE aswell. Yeah.. and it's pretty bad when you are carried by HEIDENREICH! lol... No seriously, the matches with Heidenreich were not good at all.... and the matches with JBL were watchable, simply because JBL is a GOD.

*Bossman Slam *Stevie Kick *Baldobomb *Yang Time *Spear << what the hell.. *Angle Slam << much better as the Olympic Slam. *West Coast Pop *Doomsday Device << probably get shit on, but wasn't a big fan of the name of th emove. *Nightmare on Helms Street << just terrible. *The Last Dance << Disco quickly learned that and changed it to "The Chartbuster" *Schafot << might of spelt that wrong. But that was Alex's Wright original name for his Neckbreaker as Berlyn. Made sense (Schafot is a were people are hung, thus injuring the neck)... but still dumb. *Any move that is a regular move... Dropkick, DDT, things like that. *Any move that involves the person name. *RKO isn't bad, it actually makes alot of sense and is fine with me. *Au Revoir makes perfect sense, and I think the name fits the gimmick well.

Recently this year? I'm sorry, but if your gonna correct me, I'll do the same. Angle and Haas had their second match in 2004, not 2005. And yes, the match I'm referring to is Haas/Angle in 2003.
-
Man I dont know but I LOVE Marty Jannetty... He made ANGLE of all people look good out.. and Angle did the same.. that was the best Smackdown TV match I've seen since probably Charlie Haas v. Kurt Angle from like 2001 or 2002. Jannetty looked PHENOMENAL... all of this offense looked good. (he's 3/4 speed wasn't even that bad, I mean the guy is just so quick to see him slow up a tiny bit looked odd for a second, but meanwhile he was still going faster then 3/4 of the roster). The ending ROCKED ASS... Jannetty fought that Ankle Lock with life or death, and quite honestly, the finished rocked my socks off. The match went almost 20 minutes though.. and that means that they most definately have to do one of three thigns with the HBK/Angle feud. 1) Make the Wrestlemania 21 match 25+ minutes, with the same style of match. 2) Make the Wrestlemania 21 match 15-20 minutes, with more physical.. hard hitting offense. 3) Bring Jannetty into the mix to have him feud with Michaels or Angle. I dont think they would of let Jannetty last that long if they didnt plan on keeping him around. I do however feel that he'd be sticking around on RAW though to be close to Shawn. Shawn is the one who definately landed Jannetty a comeback shot and now that he has succeeded, I'm pretty sure that he'll stick around HBK. He'll also probably be pushed pretty decently as well.. he looks phenomenal... and not to mention.. he is over HUGE. The pops this guy got are insane.. and I know Smackdown is edited, but the crowd jumped to its feet when he came out and when they chanted Mar-ty, you could see it in everyones lips.... MARTY JANNETTY HAS A FUTURE! **London v. Kidman was good, short fun. Not a bad little match. **The main event was pretty decent, and definately fun. I'm really looking forward to Eddie/Rey. The Chavo segments for the last 3 weeks are AWESOME. **The Christy/Angle promo being littered all over is awesome too, that thing is hilarious.

If it's true that The Rock wants to come back to the WWE... if Rock appears even once for TNA... it would force Vince to get off his ass and offer the Rock some kind of huge money to come back.. home. If Rock showed up in TNA just once though... that would do a helluva lot for the promotion and for the hopeful "Promotion Wars"
-
Naw... its still a great signing.. Psicosis is still a good worker. Super Crazy is still half decent as well.. Juvi though... I dunno about him these days.. doesnt seem very good or motivated from his short TNA stint.

I was just watching the RAW is OWEN (I know sad moment, we miss you Owen) and back then Shamrock was one of my favourite wrestlers. But he was the only man who didnt have an Owen Hart armband on.... any idea what this was about?
