  1. 6. A funeral home director steals gold teeth, and is a cheap skate, his nephew comes to live there over the summer and they have issues, the nephew loves basketball is kinda tall....Anyway....during a fight the kid ends up falling down a flight of stairs and dying.... The uncle, tries putting the kid in a casket, but its too small, so the uncle cuts off the kids legs and buries him. The uncle is tormented by his nephew's spirit, who finally shows himself, legless and pissed off.... Is this the one you are trying to rememeber, Staravenger?
  2. Can you give me a little more info on the first one there? It sounds familiar, but I'm drawing a majority blank. The vampire one was the first one I remember seeing. LAME. Didn't he drain people of blood to replace in the bank? More LAME. "Morning Mess Main Players: Steven Weber, Rita Wilson, Vincent Schiavelli Director: Manny Cotto A serial killer is targeting the homeless, and it's up to an alcoholic reporter (Steven Weber) to uncover the ghoulish truth..." I don't remember the part about him being a reporter nor do I remember Rita Wilson being in this. But they do eat him in the end, as they are ghouls. The site I got this from said Rita Wilson turned in a "very sexy performance". All I remember is them having Weber in the middle of a table with blood on their mouths from eating him.
  3. How about the one from 1990 with a very young Steve Buschemi. Roger Daltry is an old time War Photographer and Buschemi is taking his spot. So Daltry sends him into a village where a flesh eating virus has run rampant. Buschemi at first is fine but wakes up and his skin burns off and his eyeballs pop out. Then Buschemi's girlfriend gets a letter from him (Buschemi), so she too has the virus. Daltry returns to the states and bangs the girlfriend, then he gets the virus and they both die in bed together. The girlfriend had sex with him to give him the virus, as revenge for killing Buschemi. Mimi Rogers killing Kathy Ireland for taking her modeling job. Rogers gets the job, as Miss Autopsy 1990. Very early episode where a rock and roll promoter hears the voice of Sam Kinnison in his head. It drives him mad and he eventually kills himself. Katey Seagal from MWC has a pretty good cameo. She was wearing a really hot leather outfit and I was suprised how good she looked compared to the Peg Bundy character. One where two guys play poker and each time they lose a hand, they cut off a finger, in the end they are still playing when all they have left is their heads. The one where Whoopi Goldberg is an evil vodoo mistress. I can't remember the male lead, as it was someone remotely famous (lead is James Remar) Anthony Michael Hall has his brain pulled through his nose by a mummy he was trying to dig up for money. Steven Webber from Wings goes to a dinner party, where he is the main course for Cannibals/Zombies Malcolm McDowell is a reluctant vampire who works at a blood bank and drinks all the blood while alone on the night shift. Ending scene is him killing George Wendt from Cheers. Probably the lamest episode I've seen in this series. Demi Moore (Pre Boob Job) sleeps with a grotesque looking/morbidly obese Jeffrey Tambor for his money. Trying to think of more

I've always heard the Phillies are a distant 4th in the pecking order in Philadelphia sports. I think it goes 1. Flyers 2. Eagles 3. 76ers 4 Phillies. Is this the deal?

Indians win again and are now just 1 game back of the Twins. This Indians team is eerily similar to the teams of the mid-90s in Cleveland. Wow, what a free fall for the Twins, a couple of weeks ago they were 8 games ahead and now they are playing for first tomorrow.

Giants are only 1 back in the wildcard, shaping up to be a 3 team race down the stretch. Out of the 3, I think the Cubs are the best team, but they haven't been playing like it lately. The kind of sad thing is the Cubs won't be playing these teams down the stretch, while the Padres and Giants will play multiple times in September.

Just noticed that the Rockies are now only 10 games under .500. No big deal but they were about 30 games under just a few months ago. Haven't seen the numbers, but I would imagine they have one of the better records in baseball since the ALL Star Break. With that ballpark, the Rockies are never really that bad or really that good. They always seem to win between 77-84 every year.

Saw this. Beane was a lot more mellow than I thought he would be. Actually talked about playing with his dog on the field. The media paints him as this whiny, confrontational type, but he seemed just the opposite.

Kinney is great. He was great on BTN and could cover the ineptitudes of Harold Reynolds. Was he demoted? Why?

The Mets sport a AAA lineup (at best) today and beat the Astros 2-1. Zambrano went 7, giving up 0 ER (1 run as result of error) and 2 hits. He is 2-0 as a Met. And seeing the Astros this week, they look like a team that has given up. With all that talent and they are under .500. Brad Lidge is the real deal however.

    Serious Moments You Found Funny

I can't believe someone put this....... This is hands down....one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Kido, I would kill to see a tape of this again. I swear I was only 8 or 9 at the time, but this was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life and I will always remember it. It happened 16 years ago and yet I can remember every single detail. I literally laughed for about 20-30 minutes after seeing it for the first time. I wish Wrestlecrap or someone could put it on their site, it is THAT FUNNY. Hopefully more people other than you and I have seen it, but like I said, it is very obscure.
  12. ...you get 1997-99 and basically the second half of the 1980s.

Mike Piazza has been put on the 15 day DL. He should just sit out the rest of the year, and make sure he is healthy going into next season. Mets recall Danny Garcia.

    Serious Moments You Found Funny

very obscure one. I think it was in late 88, early 89, on Prime Time when The Brooklyn Brawler attacked Gorilla Monsoon. The Brawler comes storming out of a locker and nails Monsoon from behind with a chair. Monsoon, who I believe hadn't taken a bump in about 10 years at this point, VERY akwardly and gingerly collapses face first into the broadcast table. For some reason I could not stop laughing. To see Gorilla just laying face down "knocked out" while Heenan is going crazy in the background was hilarious to me. They played it off as a serious angle, but to see the 60-70 yr' old Monsoon take a TERRIBLE looking bump was just funny to me.

    1988 Royal Rumble

Savage wrestled the same night in Halifax, Nova Scotia. From Cawthon's site: WWF @ Halifax, Nova Scotia - Forum - January 24, 1988 WWF IC Champion the Honkytonk Man defeated Randy Savage via disqualification

    1988 Royal Rumble

Like later Royal Rumbles were better? Barry Horowitz, for example? they didn't have any top guys in the 1988 RR. Every other rumble had the top guys. The biggest faces in the match were Jim Duggan and JYD.

Show is also memorable for Paul Roma wrenching the HELL out of his knee in the tag match against the Islanders. I think they had to change the finish on the fly because they quickly had Roma submit to a half assed submission move by the Islanders. When do 2 out of 3 falls matches end in 2 straight falls anyway? It had to be an improv finish. Oh and for JHawk and Sledgehammer, have you seen Rude's matches in Memphis? I mean he was TERRIBLE. Rude was just plain awful in Memphis, improved slightly in WWF and hit his prime just as he left the WWF in 90 and went to WCW. I liked the Rumble match because it was new and fresh, but it was filled with Jobbers, Sam Houston anyone?

    *SPOILERS * Smackdown!

The Bret/UT match in Jan. 92 from the Garden aired on the MSG Network. UT squashed Bret and pinned him cleanly. Seeing it at the time, I was suprised that Bret got nothing in that match and was treated like a total jobber by Taker. Must have had something to do with Bret's contract negotiations

It keeps getting better for the Mets. Tom Glavine was in a car accident in a cab on the way to Shea Stadium. The injuries are "not life threatening" He will definitely miss his start this week and may be out for awhile

    Biggest styles clash match ever

I believe there was a JunkYard Dog v Great Muta match scheduled for an early NWA PPV or Clash but JYD was replaced by Doug Gilbert (not 100% sure it was him). That would have been up there with Dory v RVD in terms of clashing styles.

So in St. Louis in the top of the ninth the Mets rally and have the bases loaded. The tieing run coming to the plate, with Mike Piazza still available. and .. and... Joe McEwing is forced to hit because the Mets are out of infielders. McEwing hits a little blooper to short and the game ends with Piazza on deck. If that situation doesn't sum up the Mets in one fell swoop, I don't know what does. Mind you that Piazza has been in a horrific slump, but things like this have constantly happened to the Mets since the last out of the 2000 World Series. The Mets went 11 years without making postseason play, and at this rate, it might be even longer this time.

I might be missing obvious stuff here, but has there been a team in the National League in the last decade or longer that has been as good as the Cardinals have been this year? They are going to sweep the Mets and are inching close to 40 games over .500. A Yankee/Cardinals World Series almost seems like a lock now.

    The 1994 MLB Playoffs

All I remember is that the Expos were scary good that year. I believe they were 6 games ahead of Atlanta when the strike hit. Everyone in the New York media was predicting a Yankees/Expos World Series
