Tazz also tells a story about a phone call he made to Paul Heyman while on his way to Madison Square Garden for his WWE debut. I was told that the DVD is "great" for fans who were familiar with the company during it's run but will also be entertaining for fans who may not have experienced it when it was in business. The first footage from the much anticipated Rise and Fall of Extreme Championship Wrestling DVD can be seen now at VideoDetective.com. Promotional material for the DVD set reads as follows: "E-C-W! E-C-W! E-C-W!" - a chant heard in arenas around the world. ECW: Extreme Championship Wrestling redefined professional wrestling in the '90s with a reckless, brutal, death-defying, and often bloody style that came to be known as "hardcore". It attracted a rabid, cult-like following that is still going strong today. This 6-hour, 2-disc set follows the rise and eventual demise of the company that raised the bar and revolutionised sports-entertainment forever." The DVD set is scheduled to feature seven complete matches as extras: *ECW World Tag Team chanmpions Raven & Stevie Richards vs. The Pitbulls - Best of Three Falls Dog Collar Match (Gangstas Paradise, September 1995) *Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Psicosis - Best of Three Falls (October 1995, ECW Arena) *ECW World champion The Sandman vs. Mikey Whipwreck - Ladder Match (10/28/95 ECW Arena) - First Time Ever released in its entirety. *ECW World Television champion 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Sabu (Cyberslam '96, 30 minute draw, February 1996) *Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer - the final confrontation (WrestlePalooza '97, June 1997) Scheduled to feature alternative commentary *ECW World Television champion Tazz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (Living Dangerously '98 PPV, February 1998) Scheduled to feature alternative commentary *ECW World Television champion Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn (Hardcore Heaven '99 PPV, May 1999) Extras Listed for the Set: *Steven Richards Apologises for Leaving ECW *Tazz Seeks Paul Heyman's Blessing *Paul Heyman: Travel Agent

and the Bengals win a nationally televised game

last time I truly marked out was when Jericho debuted in August 99. It was the best debut I've ever seen in wrestling. Plus, the internet was a different scene back then, and it was just great to see all the WCW marks rush and try to defend the company and try to downplay Jericho's debut. Just a great moment.

I've said this a lot before, Trish is probably the best on Raw in delivering Gerwirtz's corny, sexual innuendo laced dialogue. She is one of the few that can say the lines, and not sound completely moronic.

wwe.com updated preview Jericho v Shelton in a rematch from Taboo Tuesday
-
Wrong year Meltz, 96 was headlined by Bret/Sid, 95 was Davey Boy/Bret
-
Meltzer's Flair love is becoming unbearable, now apparently if you don't think Flair is still the best worker in the world, you know nothing about wrestling
-
just on Fox, the last time a team made 4 errors in back to back games in the world series and won both? 1912, by the World Champion Boston Red Sox
-
wow, 8 errors in 2 games for the Sox

Vitamin X, I wasn't comparing Favre to Jeter on a personal level, I was comparing the media's treatment of Jeter to their treatment of Favre. Favre is a likebale guy and busts his ass. It's hard not to like the guy. But he clearly isn't the player he once was (and there is nothing wrong with that, it happens to all players), but to ESPN and FOX, he still plays like Joe Montana in his prime. Yes, it's just that ESPN (and FOX) just latches on to guys and won't let go, and it can get annoying as hell.

Don't know about the Giants game Vitamin X, the Giants had nearly 200 yards rushing in that game and dominated TOP. The Giants clearly outplayed Green Bay. The Giants, being the Giants, of course turned the ball over in the red zone and missed 3 field goals. It should not have been that close. And I know Favre was injured, but he could not get the Packers past mid field in the 1st half. I don't hate the Packers, it's just that because of Favre, they are deified by the media. He's the Derek Jeter of the NFL, all the announcers love him and even when he makes bad plays (like last year in the Phili. playoff game), he doesn't get criticized. He's an "untouchable" of the NFL. Plus, their defense is just not that good
-
The Cardinals have not shown the ability to win on the road in the playoffs, if they go on to lose this game, they will be 1-6 on the road in the postseason. Don't know how this couldn't be a concern for St. Louis.
-
Why would the Red Sox bunt on Ray King?
-
and the Raiders lose their 4th straight, falling to 2-5. With all the talk of competitive balance and parity, there are A LOT of bad teams in this league
-
I'm starting to believe the entire NFC is complete shit, except for the Eagles, and maybe the Vikings
-
Seahawks on the verge of their 3rd straight loss, that Rams game killed them.
-
Jimmy Johnson on FOX already started the verbal blowjobs for Favre. I can't wait for all the "Pack is Back!" talk all this week.
-
NFC East is looking to be pretty pathetic. Cowboys and Skins at 2-4 Giants playing over their head at 4-2 and falling and the Eagles WAY ahead of the pack at 6-0 Giants played like they did last year. Turning the ball over in the red zone, not making 3rd and 1's. Receivers wide open in the middle of the field for the opposition. Next week looks to be a loss in Minnesota. If they lose to the Bears in 2 weeks, then an alarm goes off.
-
and the streak continues for New England, 21 in a row.

I usually don't watch the musical performances, so I missed it. Show was mostly bad this week. The Hardball cold opening was great. Trump sketch was good. And the O'Toole and Caine in Taco Bell talk show was pretty good. The rest was awful. Seth looked distracted in the debate sketch, like he would have rather been watching the game. And My God did Tina look hot in the monologue. I swear she looks more beautiful from week to week. Amy looked gorgeous as always. That shot of Tina and Amy after the virginity joke on Update was awesome. Another British actor hosting next week. Hopefully Winslett is a good host.
-
2 pitches, 2 outs, nice job by the Astros working a pitcher who threw 3 innings the day before.
-
How pathetic is it that they get a Monday night game next week. ABC will be whining about the flexible schedule again, and again no one will listen or care.
-
Sox beating the Yankees, the sig says it all.

Didn't Jim Ross try this in the NWA when he was booker?
