I can't see MVP winning it. He's already the longest US champ since they brought back the belt plus his storyline with Matt Hardy is just starting to get warm again. If those 8 are in it, then I'd go with YOUMANGA Punk is already the MitB guy HBK/Batista has an interesting thing going on and Jericho looks like the next guy up for HBK. Well there's your problem right there. I like Festus. I really hope they don't change his character at all. He's over just like Hornswoggle and Finlay. I think Festus has a lot of potential as a character...I just wish he hadn't used that rope break. ...or that the announcers hadn't continued "telling the story" of him not understanding basic concepts of wrestling when he just used a fairly complex one. Maybe Jesse told Festus to put his foot on the rope? Jesse right now is a glorified manager. Tonight just exposed it. He yells out instruction to Festus ala Paul Bearer and old Undertaker. Sure he can wrestle, but he'll always be 2nd fiddle to Festus. Big Man/Little Man teams can work (see Hurricane/Kane), but both members have to be established to have chemistry. Speaking of which, why didn't Jesse try to help Festus when he was locked into that submission? The ref was down so have him distract Taker until Festus can regroup.

hmmm spoilers said Kane and Batista showed up at the end to save Taker from La Familia guess it was for the crowd only if they had shown that, then the Batista/HBK theory had some ground.

is Batista a face on Smackdown and heel on Raw HBK vice versa...it sure seems like it HBK tried to take a cheap shot which he hasn't done since the storyline leading to WM23. All the stuff on SD leads us to think HBK is a backstabber and the stuff on Raw leads us to think Batista is a pussy. Greatest Build Up Ever.

Bossman. He was 'fired' the week or two before that show, and the next night on Raw he was 'hired' back. Probably one of the subtler Russo angles actually. Golddust, as it was originally named GDTV and the first few times it focused on people related to Golddust. He gets canned, it gets switched to GTV and the rest is extremely loopy history. On the other hand, I don't believe anyone was ever outed later on as being behind GTV, so I actually didn't answer your question. My bad. Actually I thought it was the Mean Street Posse that was pulling the breifcase...... never thought Bossman was behind it. I know about Goldust and GTV, but after he was canned, it still kept going. Because Vince is a dick and everyone thinks it's funny that he not only had to put up with Hornswoggle's antics, but that Finlay was raking in big bucks from him and putting himself in line to snag 33% of WWE upon Vince's death in the process. While that's true, but storyline wise, it doesn't explain why Horns lived under the ring and we never found out what agreement Finlay had with Vince. I suppose all of those answers are buried with who moved the briefcase @ KOTR 99 and who was behind GTV.

Why is Finlay a face even after he fooled all the fans to think Horns was Vince's kid so he could mooch off Vince with no reason? This wasn't thought out well. We're suppose to forget about that because Horns has devolved from a troll that lived under the ring to a 5 year old kid?
