For USC - John David Booty has played extremely well this spring, as has Rocky Hinds. Booty would probably start at QB for most other teams in the country. Manuel Wright is having some academic troubles and may try to get into an NFL Supplemental draft. Freshman RB Michael Coleman has played extremely well and said he wants to take Lendale White's spot. White has had some weight and academic problems this off-season. WR Steve Smith broke TE Dominque Byrd's jaw after they got into an argument over an X-Box game. Sophomore TE Fred Davis has made some great plays in practice and should see some time this year. Sophomore LB Keith Rivers has been a monster in the spring and will be a force this year. Heres the depth chart Pete Carroll announced today, this doesnt list freshman though Defense: DE: Lawrence Jackson; Morrow NT: Sedric Ellis; Draper DT: LaJuan Ramsey or Moala or Tofi DE: Jeff Schweiger; Goodrum SLB: Dallas Sartz; Williams MLB: Oscar Lua or Powdrell or Williams WLB: Keith Rivers; Ashton CB: Justin Wyatt; Walker; Gomez; Jerry Williams FS: Scott Ware; Pinkard; Tings SS: Darnell Bing; Pinkard; Ellison CB: Kevin Thomas; Abbott; Jamel Williams Offense: LT: Sam Baker; Kyle Williams; Thomas Herring LG: Jeff Byers or Drew Radovich; Malu C: Ryan Kalil; Spanos RG: Fred Matua; Rachal; Lanza RT: Winson Justice; Latui TE: Dom Byrd, Fred Davis SE: Dwayne Jarrett; William Buchanon; Creig Carlson FL: Steve Smith; Chris McFoy; Whitney Lewis QB: Leinart; Booty FB: David Kirtman; Brandon Hancock TB: Reggie Bush; Reed or Washington

So what has your comment accomplished then? Nothing Nobody made shit up. I said "all the time", which is a figure of speech. I don't know the exact number of times he's on the cover of NY papers, but he's on quite a bit. It isn't anymore of making shit up than you saying he isn't relevant or saying nobody listens to him. Well then I'd love to see how much you bash someone who actually IS relevant. The point - your humor level is that of an 80-year old man.
-
So would you say you have a crush on George Bush? Yes, because we were talking about his relevance. Well you sure have put a whole lot of effort into bashing a guy who, in your opinion, is not relevant at all and basically trash. ..

Which is different from Stern how? -=Mike It's pretty obvious you have some deep-rooted hatred for Howard, I don't understand why you keep coming back to the thread. It's obvious you have a crush on Howard. Why do you keep coming back? -=Mike I don't have a "crush" on Howard. I am not going out of my way to talk about how great he is. You on the other hand, continue to come back in the thread to throw little jabs at him. Quite an odd obsession. But then again, if that's your idea of humor, I can see why you wouldn't like Howard's show.

I've developed a real bad habit of cracking my neck and back, real bad , like.. I do it all the time. If I don't do it for a little while my neck gets really sore, and then I crack it and it feels almost orgasmic. I used to crack my fingers a lot but I pretty much quit that.
-
There is 10x more of an eye on what Stern is doing than what fucking Opie and Anthony were doing. Unless they did something completely outragous, nobody really gave a shit.
-
You know nobody is going to get that without looking on the internet.

Strummer, I think the problem is all these bits people want him to do, he CAN'T do anymore. He isn't allowed to do bits he did 2 years ago, much less 5 years ago and definitely not 10 years ago. The FCC Sanctions just won't allow them to do any kind of bit that is even the least bit racy. They have Sal the Stockbroker and another guy named Richard Christy working for them now and they are actually doing some pretty funny stuff, I think the show is the best it's been since their "prime". Those 2 guys have added A LOT to the show, as well as Artie.

The Hulkster gets a reality TV Show?

I never understood the term "Shock Jock" in the first place. People who don't listen to Howard's show think the entire show is just him talking to lesbian's and strippers, when in fact they hardly ever have either of those on.
-
It's a little bit easier to syndicate a show like Rush's than it is a show like Howard's. He's still on, and leading, in every major media market. Just because he's not on in a bunch more little small towns in every state doesn't mean anything. Horribly overpaying, LOL, Ok. Stern's contract is bigger, period. I never said they aren't, but at least they realize they are assclowns. Rush's fans don't realize he's just a puppet on a string for Republicans. Did you ever notice no E! shows are ever on the list? He's still been the top rated show on E! for a long time now. He currently has around 12 million listeners and all they need is 1 million to sign up to just cover the cost of his contract, I think they'll get that.

The sad thing is he'll probably go at least gold.

I heard Rush say this (it was either Tuesday or Wednesday), and I did a double-take. And Loaded, you do realize that Howard has had problems with the FCC for years now, right. If memory serves, he got handed a big-ass fine in the early '90s, but due to the limited media avenues at the time (or at least as compared to now) it didn't seem that big a deal as it does now. And for the record, I was a Stern fan for years until he got on this Oh-woe-is-me-Bush-is-out-to-get-me complex. For me his most entertaining parts of his show are when he talks about current events. Whenever he would have the lesbian strippers on that's when I'd change the station... You are definitely right about that, but he toned down his show so much because of those fines. You cannot deny that they have been on him hard(much harder than anyone else in the media) ever since he started the anti-bush stuff and that seems to be really when this anti-indecency crusade all started. And now that he announces he's going to Satellite they all of the sudden want to regulate that and Cable? Just seems odd to me.

46 Howard signed for 500 million with Sirius, Rush signed dfor 250 million. As far as listeners, Rush gets more because every right wing assclown in the universe listens to him. However Stern dominates the key 18-34 ratings in nearly every market he's in. Do you have any site that shows these horrid ratings?
-
Well I'm pretty sure before he became national there was some radio show on the station's he got onto. He destroyed them in ratings and took over slots all over the country. I never said he was on every paper in the entire country, I said NY. Not Don Imus or any other cornball, him. More than I can say for the Rush Limbaugh's and Michael Savage's and "Mancow's" of the world. Rush Limbaugh is no longer relevant. I think it's pretty generally excepted that he's just a wind-up toy for the republican party, Sorry, I figured since you had the technology to find out that only 2 "shut in's" watch Howard's show, that you could do that too.
-
And God knows the number of national drive time DJ's is truly staggering. NY ain't the country. I can't name the last time I heard his name mentioned on either channel. -=Mike - Of course it isn't staggering, because he wiped them out. Although just about every city has their own clone of him. - NY isn't the country, but it's the #1 media market in the world - You don't watch CNN and Fox News enough. You should read this article if you truley believe he is not still relevant http://money.cnn.com/2005/01/27/news/newsm...atings/?cnn=yes
-
Oh and BTW, about the fines, Rush Limbaugh the other day said the word Blowjob on the air when talking about teen's having sex. He said Blowjob and then kept saying the initials "BJ". On Howard's show yesterday he was informed by his manager that if he used the initals BJ together when referring to sex he'd be thrown off the air. So let's see if Rush Limabaugh gets fined for it(and we all know he won't)
-
What do you consider relevant? He's the #1 rated morning drive DJ in America, he's front page news in NY a few times a week and is always being talked about on CNN or Fox News. I call that relevant.
-
Yes, they're trying to censor cable TV and satellite radio all because of a hack DJ with a lesbian obsession. -=Mike Yes, yes they are. It's quite sad. Are you, in fact, Howard Stern? Because you have one unhealthy belief about his importance or even the tacit knowledge of his existence in the eyes of the gov't bureaucracy. He's just another hack shock jock who ceased being amusing long, long ago. -=Mike Ok, he's a "hack shock jock" who has millions upon millions of people listening to him on the radio everyday and watching him on TV every day. It's funny how after he started bashing Bush, the FCC and Goverment immedietly got on his ass and started up with all these indecency fines(which ironically enough, he was the only one getting fined). Then, he decides to leave and join a Satellite Radio, and oh look, now all of the sudden all the right wing nutjobs want to censor Satellite Radio, which has gone on untouched since it began, and Cable TV which has been on forever with nobody caring. You can try to call it a coincidence but it's pretty clear they are after him.

I find it funny how Howard isn't "relevant", yet he has the #1 morning drive radio show and currently has the government and FCC on his ass, making new laws in every media medium because of him, now even trying to censor Satellite Radio and Cable because of him. BTW - he filmed these XM commercials a few years ago, O&A just played that today.

Locke is by far my favorite, in a landslide. Sawyer is second.
