I thought the Chicago crowd was just a lot 'smarter' than normal, which would explain why people cheered Mickie because they saw what an awesome character she was, heel status notwithstanding. It would also explain why the crowd collectively drooled all over Angle and wished death on Cena. That crowd was like a caricature of the internet smarks of that era.
