A buddy and I were talking about this this weekend, this guy (Brock) keeps trying to do something he has no training in, and failing miserably. First football, now MMA. Brock doesnt stand a shot here. We were watching summerslam 2003 and watching him perform it was obvious that his place is in the wrestling ring, and Smackdown needs this guy. Sooner or later he will return, if only because he has failed at everything else he's done.

I know this has probably been beat to death around here, but I have to voice my complaint. This 6 sided ring thing was fine as a novelty, but I think it creates a level of fantasy to the product and makes it feel like a carnival. It seems so convoluted and awkward. Now that they have a 2 hour show coming, get back to the standard ring and pull in some new fans who can get emotionally invested in the product. The 6 sided ring has acted as a reason for me not to watch, and I can't be alone.

I'll be watching.

I think it looks pretty good--Robert Patrick is a good pick here, because you have an unknown commodity in Cena as a protagonist, you have a guy who you look at, know he is a bad guy, and want him to die. This will help you to want to root for the protagonist regardless of his talent as an actor. Cena seems to have a presence on screen, but...I cringed at "he has a hostage, She's my wife".

Sports talk is generally terrible, but come on, you listen to Wacky Radio Antics, so surely you have the necessary threshold for pain to listen to sports radio. O&A and R&F are far from "wacky radio antics". I think you misunderstand, O&A are the precise definition of "wacky radio antics". The show offers approximately, nay, exactly- zero redeeming value. Czech---Yeah Mike North deserves a swift kick in the junk. He was better served hawking hot dogs. And Mac Jurko and Harry on ESPN 1000 are very listenable. They have the dynamic of an entertainment/pop culture show while focusing 85-90 percent on sports and the other persentage on manly man topics. i.e. barbecue, television, movies, and women. Dan McNeil, when not frothing at the mouth with anger toward Harry Teinowicz, is a class act on the radio, a true professional. Salisbury and Rosenbloom on the other hand---I used to like Sean Salisbury, now all he does is bicker with an old bitter beat writer and usually loses the battle of played out cliches.

The best part is that they are always on at 1 in the afternoon between generic judge show #1 and #1,678,956 so the out of work derelicts believe they have a way out.

Man oh man, the woes of smackdown! being what they are, you'd think Batista would be doing a little more on this show.
