  1. Not even. That was actually another reason I liked it, because I'm also tired of the same old vampire storylines. This was something new. I just want a vampire that kills because it's fun, not one who kills "because he is cursed to this terrible life". Give me Stephen Dorff's Deacon Frost...hell I'll even take Tom Cruise's Lestat...hell give me Dracula from Monster Squad.
  2. Please tell me it's not about self-loathing vampires that long to be human again so that they can be with their human love interest.

Call of Duty: World at War

I picked it up for the Wii (since I no longer have my 360), and so far I'm pretty darn impressed...so eat it, Andrew! Obviously the graphics aren't as good as the 360, but they did a REALLY good job here with this "port". I haven't tried the online aspect yet, I'll get around to it maybe tomorrow night when I have more time. It's taking some getting used to using the Wii Zapper, but I've only been playing for about an hour, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon.

    A look back.

Too bad you can't read those old threads...I wonder what that thread I started about Choken One was about?

    Great Moments in TSM History

I tend to forget more than I can remember about this place, must be my old age, but "when I was a dog, my dog ate my dad's ring" will always make me chuckle.

    Up!

The dad in me ranks Finding Nemo #1 followed by the comic book nerd in me ranking The Incredibles at #2. I haven't seen Wall-E yet, so we'll see what happens.
  8. I can't stand black folks that say that "I want to go back to Africa" shit...what? go to mass genocide, mass AIDS outbreaks, mass poverty? Wait, I guess that's most black neighborhoods, amirite?

    *masturbates furiously*

Lisa Ann is terrible and looks nothing like Palin...well okay, maybe a little...but I find it hard to believe they couldn't find anyone better.

I've gotta imagine he'll be much more prepared come the rematch, no?

    Obama is President

The best thing I've heard is that our country will turn in to a third world country within 4 years due to Obama's socialist-like philosophies. COME ON! I also love the unwillingness to realize that that was a Republican in office for the past 8 years what with the recession going on and all.

    WEC 36: Faber vs. Brown

Faber just looked like he wasn't ready at all for this guy...like he didn't take the fight seriously and ended up paying the price for it. Stumbling around, falling down. What a fucking stupid move throwing that blind spinning elbow...certainly paid the price for that. I bet that shot to the jaw HURT like a mother...

    Golden-age cartoons as a kid.

Okay...what exactly are we SUPPOSED to be talking about here? I thought we were talking about the old 6 to 10 minute shorts? Now we're talking late 80s/early 90s half hour shows and feature length movies?

Good find, Neal. My favorite Tex Avery short

    11-1-08 SNL

You know, my fucking cable company sucks...earlier in the day, I had looked ahead on the menu to see who was doing SNL tonight and it didn't say anything about it being a new episode...therefore I didn't DVR it! It said it was the Jon Hamm/Coldplay episode.

    Golden-age cartoons as a kid.

Warner Bros. definitely takes the cake over Disney...they did stuff that would most likely be considered offensive in today's pussy ass PC world. HOWEVER, I love the Goofy shorts like the sports ones and the ones where a narrator is showing us a day in his life doing things like going to the beach, working out, etc. muredrtrain is spot on bringing up Tex Avery shorts as well as Tom & Jerry...can't have a conversation about old school animation without those contributions.

    Heroes

I've learned the hard way to set my DVR about 10 minutes beyond the regular time.

    The TSM Market Research Thread

    1. How often do you visit TSM? How long are you here on a typical visit? How many minutes, or hours, do you spend here daily? Daily, probably several hours a day if you total it out...I get pretty bored at work most days so, yeah. 2. Which folders do you spend the most time in? Why? Which ones do you skip over? WWE depending on my interest level, Movies and TV, Video Games, Chocolate Socket, LSD, General Chat...Music occasionally. I rarely RARELY go to CE. 3. Who are your favorite posters? What makes a poster "good"? I don't know if I have any definitive FAVORITES, though I talk regularly in either PMs or on messengers to Special K, Slayer, KKK, niskie, Dubs, Matt Young, Malibu, Meat and Porter. Also have to give shout outs to guys I chat with during Raw: Choken, Gary Floyd, King Kamala, etc. (sorry for leaving folks out, it's not on purpose). I pretty much like everyone and try to get along with everyone, even the guys that don't like me or are indifferent about me. 4. Who are your least favorite? Why? Don't really dislike anyone, what's the point? Sometimes guys like Czech, EHME, Marvin etc. irk me, but again, I don't DISLIKE them or anything. I know that's a cop out, but that's what I'm rolling with. 5. Who is your favorite mod? Can you actually name the mods we have? I don't really have a favorite mod, but I can name most of them I think: Agent, Alf, Czech, CWM, treble, 909, DocV...okay, maybe not most of them. 6. What brought you to TSM in the first place? Do you still come for the same reasons? Do you still watch wrestling? I think I got here through Scott Keith's old rants around 1999, been through every incarnation of this board. 7. When was the board at its best? Hmmm, guess I've never noticed...it's had its ups and downs, no serious periods of being complete shit, IMO. 8. What is the one thing, above all else, that keeps you coming back here? Boredom, plus I like conversing with most of you folks...some of you guys I've e-known for an awfully long time. 9. If you could change one thing about TSM, what would it be? Nothing really, I'm fine with it the way it is. Well...maybe no more of those stupid poster tournaments. 10. How much longer will TSM be around? Hopefully, for a long time

Let's Talk About...Diesel's WWF World title run

Hold on a sec here, Diesel/UT at WM12 was a pretty darn good big man match when you consider two things: 1. We were still in the era of big men wrestling typical "big men" matches...I think they sorta broke the mold in that match. 2. UT was still in Zombie-Taker mode, but was slowly starting to change his style to what we see today.

Let's Talk About...Diesel's WWF World title run

Ironically, it wasn't until his last stretch in late 95 thru early 96 when he became a worthwhile commodity.
