Orton is worthless? Man if ANYONE has come a long way, it's Randy Orton...from what, October last year through WM this year, that dude has been dynamite. It's a shame he got injured because he was really on fire.
-
because he turns in to a small child after being covered up in sewer water...also the fact that only about 1/4 of the movie actually takes place in Manhattan. but it does feature this: "Go on, take your best shot" *Jason punches his head clean off*

Well I guess they figure Victor Creed will have a much much bigger role here than he did in X-Men, so it makes sense to get a guy with some decent acting chops as opposed to the former pro wrestler. I'm thinking we'll have smart and cunning yet psychotic and savage Sabertooth as opposed to hulking lummox brute Sabertooth here.

I thought PSH actally did well as the villian in MI:3...he played cool, calculated psycho rather well.

Part 6 was actually the first Friday I had ever seen...but honestly, the story and the acting is leagues better than any other in the series...yes I know it's a stretch to praise the acting and story for ANY Friday movie, but you can see where I'm coming from, right? 6 also has this: "This is gonna be a hairy turn!" *girl takes the corner hard, the force sending Tommy's head directly in to her muff*

part 4 does contain two of my favorite parts...dude getting a shotgun shoved in his nuts and lifted up out of the water and Crispin Glover getting hung in the doorway by his hands and feet spread eagle only to be ripped down by Jason later.

Apparently, Brian Cox wanted to come back as William Stryker but they went with Danny Huston instead. Cox was hoping they could do the digital altering effects they did with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan in X-Men 3 to make him look younger. I would imagine, though, that it's a costly and lengthy process to do that so it makes sense to go ahead and cast younger right from the get-go. Too bad, because Brian Cox is good in pretty much everything he does, but ah well, it won't affect this one at all. This should be a fun movie.

ah christ, I forgot Bay was working on this one...I didn't see the TCM remakes, were those stupid?
-
Well, true about the mask, but apparently they're giving it to him here...I just hope they don't do something like say the mask has a special meaning to him and we see a flashback of little retarded disfigured Jason playing hockey with his dad who verbally and physically abuses him the whole time. No, just leave it as is, he kills some stupid fat fuck who was running around with it on and takes it for himself...perfect!
-
has to be a re-imaging since it takes place between 2 and 3, with Jason establishing himself in 2. Hopefully we don't get some lame, overly-complex explanation as to how he got his hockey mask.

I really should read wiki first before I post stuff, I guess: Apparently the producers are trying to figure out a way to include Tommy in any future Friday movies.

Is Benicio DelToro still playing the Wolfman? The only thing that upsets me about retelling Jason's story is that I liked Tommy Jarvis and Friday pt. 6 was KICK ASS! EDIT: my friend wiki says yes, Del Toro is indeed the wolfman...it also says the release date was pushed back to April 3rd...sorry, Destroyer, birthday wishes unfulfilled!

I want to see it simply because Casper Van Dien is bad ass as Johnny Rico...however I'm disappointed there is no Jake Busey in here...like I said at another forum, it's not like he has anything better going on.

someone begs to differ:

The British youth hate them some Randy Orton

I did like his take on the Penguin though, some good ideas there. Didn't care for Catwoman.
-
Let's face it, they have to think about the mainstream as well as the die hards...that means you're getting either Riddler, Catwoman or Penguin in the next one (or a combination of the 3). I admit I was surprised they went with Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow in the first one, but there was a purpose with that: Begins was about reintroducing us to Batman and it's hard to do when you have Joker stealing the scene so you give him lesser known foes. At this point, in order to keep the momentum that Dark Knight has created going, you almost HAVE to go with the next in line for his well known foes. Especially if Nolan is going to continue to go with the "more realistic" approach, meaning no silver men in suits freezing everything in site.

hey, the IYH I went to is on right now, Good Friends, Better Enemies. Features a pretty fun Diesel/HBK brawl for the title...the rest of the card is rather forgetable. For all the people that trash Cena for his "Superman" act, I dare them to rewatch 1996 Shawn Michaels and compare!

I enjoyed the show...I actually liked it a lot more than "Kimbo's Big Night". Question for you MMA guys...is that Cyborg chick going to give my girl a run for her money?
-
Shit, man, I'm sorry! I've been pretty good with that too!
-
well it's been 12 hours so: Contra 3 -it was a toss-up between this and the first Contra, but I figure on 3 there are no 30 man codes so this one will give me more of a challenge. Of course, I guess I wouldn't HAVE to use the 30 man code, but I couldn't resist the temptation! I don't think I've ever played Contra (or Life Force for that matter) WITHOUT using the code!

New gameplay system, sure, but I'm talking the Metroid-ish overall gameplay. And you're right, I obviously didn't get the memo, I haven't played a CV game since Aria of Sorrow...but the character designs that I've seen still look overly homo. I can understand the reasoning, but enough is a enough.
-
I'll be checking it out...friend of mine is a HUGE MMA fan so I'm inviting him over for beer and fights. Don't have Showtime, though, so i'll miss the first 3 matches, but will definitely watch the CBS broadcast. by the way, apparently there's a UFC Fight Night coming to Omaha in October, I believe...I'll most likely go to that one.

Christ man, sooner or later I expect Armand to show up out of nowhere and seduce Alucard out of his pants with Lestat watching in the background, jerking off while Louis holds the cup for him. Somewhere, Yuna Firerose is hoping...

as far as old school, they finally got it right with Super Castlevania 4...however, as Drew said, if I can at least whip in different directions and maybe fix it so that you can control your falls, I'll take the 8-bit graphics. While I adore SOTN, that concept has been completely oversaturated and it's time to move on....and can we get some artists that won't make the characters look so freaking gay? It's like playing an Anne Rice novel!
