Considering that there have been trailers for this movie shown already, its going to be pretty hard for this not to be released.

Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies
DarKnight replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
I actually don't mind the idea of a Superman reboot, because if there is a character who needs a more edgy makeover, its him. In the reboot, lets have Lex Luthor with other villains that Superman can actually fight though, like Brainiac or Bizarro. I agree with ZGangsta though, I don't want Superman to be as dark as Batman in tone, but maybe in terms of violence. -
I'm proud for Gail going back to WWE, as she got a lot better in the ring the past few years, and will make a great addition to the WWE's women's division, or for the Divas title. Hmmm, WWE now has The Truth and Gail Kim, and I think Tomko should be next, since he too left on good terms in WWE.

Haha, Lakeview Terrace is directed by the guy that did the Wicker Man remake? Oh man, that movie has got to be comedy gold now. It seems like Samuel L. Jackson is in movies that are supposed to be sarcastic, like Snakes on a Plane, now this.

I think the Rock in 1998 is another example of a heel who sold tons of merchandise. I don't really think they can do the predictable Cena winning the title soon, or him being in the Wrestlemania main event. I mean, you can't have a guy thats supposed to be the main focus on a show constantly main event when he's losing a lot. And these are clean losses too.

Wow, I'm sorry that I have to be so negative in some threads. Didn't think it would be that much of a big deal. I mean, do I have to like every single thing in the world? I too think that since Cena has jobbed in every important match this year, that he finally needs a heel turn. I heard months ago that they planned on turning Batista heel, but I don't think that will make any sense now.

Is Lakeview Terrace supposed to be completely serious? I thought the trailer was supposed to be funny at times. I think that movie looks pretty good, since Samuel L. Jackson seems really weird in it. I remember seeing the trailer for the first time when I went to see Street Kings back in March, and I was like "what a weird looking movie".

Yeah, I don't know what Joe did that was so bad in the Booker match. He was just playing by the rules and just beating him down. Even though AJ may have done a heel move by attacking Angle after the match, I didn't feel sorry for Angle, since he and Team 3-D have beat down Styles really bad on shows.

You must not have seen the early TNA X-division stuff with Jerry Lynn/AJ Styles/Low-Ki. That shit was unbelievable.
-
Well, come on, don't you think Hell in a Cell is unwanted if its just going to be a by the numbers match? Hell in a Cell is meant to be something shocking, not just standard hardcore spots. The last really violent one was HHH/Cactus Jack in 2000, and you notice that it was probably the beginning of HHH getting over as a main eventer.

I don't think Sid really seems like the Joker really, just kind of like a psychotic big man. I meant more of like someone wearing clown make-up, and is very creepy and disturbing.
-
I actually mentioned that quote in the Sid returning thread.

Well, this show tonight was what I expected it to be. Crap. Edge/Taker was ok, and I laughed hysterically at the flames, but I am really tired of WWE just doing Hell in a Cell matches that are lame and not really violent. Nobody even did a blade job! I think the company should tell the wrestlers that if your in a Hell in a Cell match, you have to be willing to put your body on the line to give the fans what they really want, shocking violence, not just a hardcore match in a cage. I was really glad that Cena just jobbed to Batista though. I kept thinking to myselft ever since the match was announced that Cena should just job clean since he doesn't deserve any wins at this point. I am really digging this Michaels/Jericho stuff too. That angle was excellent tonight, but it should have been on Raw.

Glad to know. Its a story I've been interested in reading for a long time.

This is off topic, but can anyone tell me if the Hush story arc is worth reading?

Yes, TNA definitely needs to get out of Orlando. Some people who watch TNA for the first time are probably put off by those fans in the arena who cheer heels and boo faces, just because they think its cool, and they don't help the product to get over in the process. I didn't remember the Nashville crowd being like this, since they were traditional wrestling fans, however I do remember the "heel section".
-
Come to think of it, there needs to be a Joker gimmick in wrestling. A guy who likes to inflict pain on people for his own amusement, and thinks its funny. The original Doink character was about the closest we ever got to this.
-
Am I the only one who thinks that Summerslam has been shit the past few years? Hell, the 2004 show was one of the worst PPV's ever, and I really think the 2002 show is overrated. Besides HHH/Michaels there isn't anything on that show I like watching.
-
I did watch the first episode of "The Batman", and I thought it was so horrible, that I tried to pretend it didn't exist, and I haven't even thought of watching that show since. I guess you could say that I never really gave The New Batman Adventures a chance, since I just couldn't get used to the redesigns at all. The Scarecrow looked badass, and the Penguin looked like his normal comics version, but I just thought the redesigns were strange looking. Some characters still looked the same though, like Two-Face and Harley Quinn.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner!

Well, most people assume wrestling has a different style in Mexico, so people won't mind a six-sided ring there. And I don't have a problem with TNA's ring either, as I too got used to it pretty quick, but didn't everybody have a "WTF?" feeling when they first saw that? As for Russo's role in creative, he obviously has to be the main writer, since I can't imagine the other people on their creative team coming up with shades of gray characters, silly and bizarre gimmick matches, and really crazy storylines that make no sense.
-
Well, I thought the way he delivered his talking last night seemed similar to the Joker.
-
Even though its probably a 90% chance that Edge won't take a horrible bump, this PPV really needs it. There needs to finally be another really violent Hell in a Cell match, and this is the perfect time to do it, now that Edge has become a psychopath. The card on the PPV is really bad besides this match and Cena/Batista (though, the match will suck), so it needs Edge taking a brutal bump to save it.

Ironically, this isn't the first Ben Stiller movie to make fun of retards. There's Something About Mary did as well. I don't think Tropic Thunder really made fun of retards, but rather, it made fun of actors who will go to any length to get recognition for their work.

Yeah, words can't describe how awesome Batman: The Animated Series is. Even though I didn't like The New Batman Adventures from what I saw of it, I need to pick up the box set and see if it gets any better. Some episodes sound really good from that, like "Mad Love" and "Old Wounds".
