Of course you were, lol. That's perfect timing too, because everyone can get "refreshed" in time for the second season (which isn't starting until after the World Series, IIRC) and they can add new fans as well. BTW NBT, FINALLY got my copy of Drive on DVD. Found it for $9.99 at Circuit City last Saturday.

Maybe they were Sable and Dawn Marie look alikes, so he decided to do something about the fact that they're still getting paid for some reason, while he got the pink slip.

I'm down for this as well.

2 things: 1)Is Caboose still available for commentary when the main event on night 2 rolls around? 2)Don't forget that their is going to be the "indoor screening" during night 2 when it's in the prison yard. I did add bits of that to what I have written so far, so for continuity's sake, if you have a night 2 match, just make mention of "the indoor crowd is going wild" or some such nonsense. Thanks gang.

Promo: Hot Hawaiian Nights
Zack Malibu replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Bastard beat me to the punch promo-wise. I had a rough draft of a similar promo (yes, we had discussed this) that I was going to finish and post tomorrow night. All that work for nothing. Ya bastard. -
Should you decide to take a break from the hecticness of life and pop on here, let it be known that all of us...ok, MOST of us , wish you a good one man. Here's to a spiderless 24th.

I adored World Class Wrestling as a kid, and am definitely grabbing this when we get it at work. As for reviews, DH, I honestly don't know of any place with comprehensive WCCW reviews. If you happen to find one, let me know.

This was during the Loose Cannon days when Pillman was acting as a shit-stirrer between the Dungeon of Doom and the 4 Horsemen. Flair and Arn were trying to keep the peace with Sullivan since they all wanted to take down Hogan, but Pillman repeatedly continued to damage the relationship between the stables. He and Sullivan were set for this match, which never got off the ground. Moments into it, Pillman grabbed the mic and muttered "I respect you, booker man!" and left the ring as a planned shoot (though rumor has it only he and Sullivan knew it ahead of time). Time stood still for a bit until Arn and Flair came out. Funny note: On the commercial release of the video, Pillman's "booker man" comment is edited down to "I respect you!". Pretty stupid how they did that, considering people buying the tape may not necessarily be familiar with the angle taking place.

Jericho will probably be the one taking on Batista. Kane will be facing Michaels to get that feud restarted.

Dear Diary, It's good to see you again. How've you been? Curious, Zack Attack

Sorry to lose you, Rama-Damadingdong (lame, I know). You were one guy who always wanted to show his best stuff no matter what you were writing. I could kinda tell you haven't had much time lately, since I barely see you on AIM anymore as it is. Still, open door policy is in effect, so come back when/if you can bro.

You mean the tryouts he had in '95 when he was being courted by both WWF and WCW? Too bad they couldn't stick the one he had with Adam Bomb on there. That was when DiBiase came out with him and he was rumored to debut as Ted's "Corporate Crippler" or somthing similar.

Keep in mind I also find the time to go out at night as well. I'm up at 7-ish every morning, in at school by 8:30, and work until 8 at night (I got right from one job to the other). I still hang out with friends, head to the club, etc. just like I always have. I just don't get tired very easily.

IIRC, that was more of an Electric Chair Drop into a cutter/stunner type of manuever.

She'd want it released simply because her 15 minutes of fame ran out a long time ago. Waltman back in WWE? Bleh. He might get a welcome back pop, but he'll be the same stale, unmotivated worker he's been since 2000.

The last time I caught him on AIM, he joked with me about not calling him, but given our schedules (his work schedule and adjusting to life in a new place, etc., then my 58 hour work weeks) we haven't chatted much. Hearing now that even Eric (EQ) hasn't talked to him, I gotta give that ma'fucker a ring.
-
Wow, second show in a row off for me. I suppose that's all well and good for me, given that I top Rando's work schedule by pulling 58 hours a week (teaching during the day, office at night). I'll just get a promo up on the board by the weekend for the 42nd St./MVS angle.

'Police Academy' Set for Eighth Edition
Zack Malibu replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I remember having an issue of Police Academy the comic book as a kid. I also remember the cartoon series, and had a bunch of figures as well, since I had always loved the movies and at one point had them all on tape. BTW, looking back on it, the Zed figure was kinda scary, since his main feature was him dropping his pants. A little too lowbrow for the kiddies, don'tcha think? -
I agree with the fact that under Russo the shows were very entertaining due to him putting forth some effort into creating personas for everyone from the opening match on up. Chyna winning the IC Title wasn't that bad of an angle, but I didn't agree with taking a bonafide brand new star like Jericho and sticking him in the midcard angle. I understand "paying your dues" and what not, but a lot of the early Jericho stories (Curtis Hughes as bodyguard, Chyna feud, etc.) took the wind out of his debut promo with Rock. Guys like D'Lo Brown, Val Venis, The Brood, The Hardy Boys, Too Much/Too Cool, etc. all showed us that they were worth a damn in the ring (some moreso than others) and were allowed to get over. Right now, it seems like guys are only allowed to get over *so much*, and we know the reasons behind that. Oh, and I'll take something Hardcore Holly and Big Show vs. X-Pac and Kane over The Undertaker vs. The Dudley Boyz any day of the week.
