SWF Smarkdown Card for 7-11-05!
Zack Malibu replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
My showing is a bit up in the air. I wasn't online much since Friday, and didn't see Cortez edited into the card until today. I've been scrambling to get a match done, but I'm at work and paychecks kinda take precident. So if I don't show, now you know. -
A lot will be explained this week during a promo I intend to do, not only to build up Zack/Drek, but to build up the angle as a whole. In my eyes, The Upstarts would open to everyone who came in post AM2 on, but that doesn't mean they'd all join up.

That's right, I was going to mention Pillman's heel turn and the beginning of the Loose Cannon era coming later in the show. I also need to put the Havoc '95 Horsemen swerve on DVD.
-
Showtime also has Family Business, which is one of the better reality shows out there.

The One And Only Fantastic Four Thread...
Zack Malibu replied to Jonathon's topic in Television & Film
I loved it. Granted I'm a comic geek and have a favortism towards many of the comic movies, but this was spot-on. I think the whole cast played their roles to perfection, and I'm not worried about how they portrayed Doom in this one, because it was obviously a setup for him to be their arch-rival in a sequel/sequels. For anyone complaining, Doom was the villain they HAD to go with, not only because of the Reed/Doom dynamic, but look at the FF's rogue gallery and tell me who else could have been in it? Mole Man? Puppet Master? They needed an A-list villain from FF continuity, and they did it well. -
Indeed I did. Since the heel turn/Crystal feud was planned since November of 2003. Much like my idol, Mr. Brian Pillman, I love going for the all-out shocking moments.

I have the commercial releases of both Havoc's, which I assume are chopped up a bit, since that used to be the Turner Home Video M.O. Those were some of the first tapes I got when I got my job, as well as Battlebowl '92, Havoc '95, etc. One match I do need to put on tape: Pillman vs. Badd from Fall Brawl '95. Half hour of goodness right there, to determine a number one contender to the US Title. Damn, remember when that belt meant something?

I've only made a few wrestling DVD's with my recorder so far (one a random compilation of matches I enjoy for whatever reason, another was the RAW the day after Wrestlemania). I'm working on one now that so far has two CZW matches on it: Trent Acid vs. Homicide (IMO, better than their ROH matches) and The SAT's and Red vs. Divine Storm and Brian XL. Truth be told I can't stand the SAT's, but this was a sick spotfest. I've also been sifting through old RAW's and Nitro's. I'm currently going through the RAW where Hardcore Holly returned to save Crash from Kurt Angle, back in late '00.

Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal Eski. Also, IIRC, that's the event where Steve Williams and Steve Austin teamed up for the only time ever.
-
Heyman won't be put in charge of it. He's just as hated by those in creative power as Cornette was. If they didn't want him drafting the ECW script originally, he sure as hell won't be given carte blanche over OVW.
-
You don't want to know. Because anyone who WWE sticks in the role won't give a shit about it, and certainly won't care as much as Cornette did about the product.
-
My God that would be something. Also, a good chunk of OVW talent do not have developmental deals, so there is always the chance of Cornette supporting their chances to go to TNA. Young talent that could work cheap, plus a slew of some of these established stars could equal good times ahead.
-
Once again, Johnny Ace gets his way. Now I can't look forward to getting my OVW tapes, because Tommy Dreamer sucked a fat one booking those shows.

Fair enough. But if they were going to bring him in, or if he had wanted to, he could be there teaming with Palumbo, or could have been brought back during one of Piper's appearances for continuity's sake.

Uh, O'Haire's MMA career has actually been pretty solid. I believe he's undefeated thus far. And he probably makes tons more between shootfights and Japan tours than he'd get with TNA. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, always have. But he's not going to hang up his MMA gloves to come back to team with Jindrak.
-
Dawn Marie will NOT hook up in TNA with Simon Diamond, as they are on horrible terms since they're split-up. O'Haire also has no interest in actual wrestling, and is more focused on his MMA career right now, so you won't see Jindrak/O'Haire anytime soon.

4 Way is still a few weeks off. It'll be the week after Cal gets inserted into the GM slot, which needs to happen ASAP.
-
Orton will win it in a three way with Batista and Undertaker later in the year.
-
He's retired! Fiend!

3LK were more popular than Sabin, and I'd even say more popular than AMW, whom the crowd started getting tired of until the fake-breakup and rejuvenation of the team. Look at the merchandise moved and the signs in the crowd...people love 3LK.
-
I doubt they're done, seeing as how they've been the most over faces in the company for over 2 years now.

Backstage, JOSH MATTHEWS~! is standing by, ready to interview Dan Black and CWM, two of the three members of the Original Elite. JOSH Dan, CWM, we're now over and done with this year's edition of the Great Angle Bash, and a lot of things transpired at the pay per view. Not only did your ally, the third man in the Elite, Tony Brannigan, drop the World Heavyweight Title back to Axel, but your team found...HOLY SH- Josh is cut off, as a person from off camera races onto the scene and tackles CWM to the ground! The cameras can't catch a glimpse of his face as the figure sits atop CWM's shoulders, pounding away on him! Dan Black tries to intervene, but the person stands up and shoves Black away, sending him tumbling over a stack of production boxes. The unknown person turns, and we finally see his face, showing that it's an enraged SOME GUY who has attacked CWM! Some Guy goes back for CWM, but all of a sudden ZACK MALIBU comes racing to the scene, pushing Some Guy back and blocking his path from CWM! SOME GUY GET OUT OF MY WAY! ZACK Stop it! STOP...this is exactly what they want! SOME GUY I don't care, HE'S what I want! CWM You want this? You want me? CWM runs over, trying to pull Malibu away from Some Guy, but Zack turns around and shoves CWM away. Unafraid, CWM storms right back up to Zack, and the old foes are nose to nose. ZACK What's with you, huh? What was with the other night? CWM Screw you, prep. We told you, we're not going to start taking commands from you. ZACK You know what, I could care less if you listen to me, but you need to open your eyes to what's going on around here. SOME GUY Zack, don't bother, I'm telling you, it's not worth it. This piece of shit can't be trusted anyways! CWM Who are you calling a piece of- CWM moves towards Some Guy again, and Zack steps in the way. Black comes back over and stands by his partner, glaring at Zack Malibu. BLACK What are you crying about, Malibu? Because you didn't get the spotlight the other night? SOME GUY Neither did you, tough guy. Wasn't it you who wound up passed out on the canvas, losing the match? BLACK Cute, smartass, but we told you...you go about this your way, and we'll go about things our way. You got to get GPX out of there, so good for you. It put the odds in our favor, and then we just cleared out the dead weight to get Crystal and Gunner in a more intimate setting. ZACK And look how that turned out for you. BLACK I suppose you were never guilty of having an ego? ZACK This isn't about my ego, or your ego. This is about the company. You claim that it's just as much yours as it is mine, or Some Guy's, or Alf's, or Tony's? Start proving it, Dan, because things are getting deep around here. BLACK The only thing deep is the amount of shit you're feeding us. ZACK Then you know what, believe what you want. I'm done trying to get through to you. Let's go SG, it's not even worth it. Malibu walks off, and Some Guy starts to, then gets up close in CWM's face, and the two rivals go nose to nose. ZACK Let's GO! Some Guy hesitates, burning a hole in CWM as he stares him down. CWM sneers, and speaks in a calm manner towards his foe. CWM It ain't over. SOME GUY Not by a longshot. With those words spoken, Some Guy walks off, leaving Black and CWM to glare at the popular stars, and a befuddled Josh Matthews to stand there speechless, before we cut to break.
