Saved By The Bell Questions That You Asked

Yeah, I can't wait for Season 2 of The New Class tomorrow, as it's got the "reunion" episode where Lisa, Slater and Zack come to save Bayside from being demolished. Plus, this cast didn't totally suck like the ripoffs from the first one. Also of note: Natalia Cigliuti (sp?) who was Lindsay on The New Class lives in my area. Too bad she's married with child on the way.

    What happened to the Dudleys?

MNM were set for SD! dark matches lately, so let's hope so. Plus, Nitro and Matthews work the cruiser style, so it'd make sense for them to be on SD! as they can help that division as well (you know, if they ever do anything with it).

    What happened to the Dudleys?

In OVW as babyfaces, feuding with the awesome MNM squad (Joey Matthews, Johnny Nitro and Melina Perez).

    SWF FROM THE FIRE CARD!

Done and sent. Definitely not as long as I'd hoped, but quality over quantity and all that. Enjoy the hardcore goodness, Dace.

    Weekend Boxoffice Report March 4-6

The Pacifier got a great write up around here, from a critic known to be a total douche and go back and change his star ratings based on the success of the movie. I got the DVD of that and The Jacket yesterday so I'll see it in the next few days. God Bless flea markets.

Either wears the hood down or pulls it down pretty quickly in his entrance. Ring attire: Red 3/4 length pants, with the Canadian flag on the right hip, 'BLONDE' in Japanese scripture down the left leg in white and black elastic ties at the bottom of both legs. Gold wrestling shoes with red socks. Black elbowpads. Red wristtape. Red and black bandana. Two sweatbands on one arm, one the flag of Canada, one the flag of Japan. Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): Illegally Blonde- Cobra Clutch Legsweep Lionsault Signature Moves: Guilt Trip- Play Of The Day/Playmaker Fashion Statement- Cradle Snap Brainbuster (like a Cradle DDT... but, ya know, with a suplex/brainbuster) From Vancouver With Love- Tornado DDT Marty Jannetty Fistdrop- Middle Rope Fistdrop Sitout Jawbreaker Corner Clothesline/Bulldog Combo Jericho Springboard Dropkick Basic moveset: Think of the default moveset for a CAW in a wrestling game. Plus Double Stomps. Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: Brushes himself off after hitting a big move. Hides behind Faqu. A lot. History/Background/Career Highlights: A former jobber and product of the much maligned OAOAST developmental system. Blonde returned to the fed with his pal Faqu at the request of then GM Josie Baker. The duo eventually migrated to Japan with HI-YAH and found more prolonged success in the Far East. However, when the OAOAST purchased HI-YAH Promotions, the duo found themselves back in America, much to their frustration. So they joined forces with another embittered ex-OAOAST, former HI-YAH superstar, Nathaniel Black, vowing to make an impact in the company finally. Which they finally did, thanks to affiliation with Landon Maddix, bringing them the 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Titles Held OAOAST 6-Man Tag Team Championships - February 28th, 2008 - March 21st, 2008 (w/Faqu and Todd Cortez) - March 30th, 2008 - Current (w/Faqu and Nathaniel Black) Name: Faqu Nickname: The Samoan Wrecking Ball Age: 35 Height: 6'1" Weight: 301lbs Hometown: The Isle Of Samoa Alignment (heel, face, tweener): Heel Stable affiliation (if any): Cucaracha Internacional (w/Landon Maddix, James Blonde, Nathaniel Black, Megan Skye) Wrestling style (brawler, cruiserweight, technical, all-rounder, etc.): Strong Style Samoan Theme music: L A Symphony, "King Kong" (if singles, if tag then see Blonde) Entrance Style (what color pyro, spotlights, etc.): Waddles to the ring. Wrestles barefoot, white taped fists and white tape around feet and ankles. Blue elbow pads. Blue and white floral pattern shorts. Finishing Move(s) (try to keep it to 1 or 2): Death By Samoan- Double Underhook Piledriver Signature Moves: SAMOA!- Running BUTT smash to the head in the corner High Angle Backdrop Suplex Samoan Drop Big Splash Thrust Kick Headbutts Open handed attacks (chops, thrusts, slaps, palm strikes) Basic moveset: Strong Style, hard strikes and suplexes. Highly Japanese influenced. Or, Joe-maga. Catchphrases/Trademark gestures: Roaring. History/Background/Career Highlights: A former jobber and product of the much maligned OAOAST developmental system. Faqu returned to the fed with his pal James Blonde at the request of then GM Josie Baker. Faqu holds the dubious distinction of being fired and rehired by the OAOAST more times then any wrestler. The duo eventually migrated to Japan with HI-YAH and found more prolonged success in the Far East. Faqu won the HI-YAH Heavyweight Title and held the gold for over a year. However, when the OAOAST purchased HI-YAH Promotions, the duo found themselves back in America, much to their frustration, with Faqu never beaten for his gold. So they joined forces with another embittered ex-OAOAST, former HI-YAH superstar, Nathaniel Black, vowing to make an impact in the company finally. Which they finally did, thanks to affiliation with Landon Maddix, bringing them the 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Since returning Faqu has undergone a dramatic change, no longer a happy go lucky guy but now a true Samoan savage. As yet, the cause of this has yet to be explained. Titles Held HI-YAH Heavyweight Championship - June 8th, 2006 - N/A (Last HI-YAH Champion, never beaten) OAOAST 6-Man Tag Team Championships - February 28th, 2008 - March 21st, 2008 (w/James Blonde and Todd Cortez) - March 30th, 2008 - Current (w/James Blonde and Nathaniel Black)

    Themes.

Shit, I forgot all about that. I remember when I first heard that song and liked it, and was freaked out to find Madonna sang it.

    Themes.

I THINK this is the order: "Saved By The Bell Theme Song" "Plowed" by Sponge. "Til I Collapse" by Eminem. "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. "Getting Away With Murder" by Papa Roach. (this was Heel Zack's only theme song). The In Crowd also used the famed "Popular" by Nada Surf. Download it now.

    Speech! Speech! Speech!

I know that I was supposed to get some speeches done for my Angle Award wins, but didn't get anything in to Adam in time to have them be a part of the show. So here's where I say everything I want to say, although it's really not me as a character saying it. First and foremost, I really want to thank all of you for being there when I ask for help, whether it being writing with me, asking someone a question, or figuring out the next step in an angle. Working both of my jobs is really taking it's toll on me, as I'm getting worn out quickly, and have a lot to catch up on when I get that precious net time. It's not going to be like Dames, who is only on TSM occasionally and only speaks when the important stuff goes down. I'm still very much a part of this place and the board as a whole, so don't worry about Zack taking off on you. For winning the awards, I thank everyone who voted for me in each of those categories. It's also really important to me that I publicly thank CC (Adam stop making comments RIGHT NOW lol) because honestly, save for maybe the heyday of The In Crowd, it was the most fun I've had to date being an OAOAST member. Everything about it just clicked, and I don't know if it's because we're good friends "outside" of this place or that we were just both really into it, but everything came off very well and I was happy to bring her to that next level. In general, I'd like to thank everyone for keeping the company going, since it became "my baby" with the departure of AS. Patty's probably one of the closest people to me in general, so I always tend to go to him first for a favor, and he puts up with my last minute requests and comes through in spades. CC, who already knows how awesome she is because I remind her constantly. Yes I'm biased towards her...it's obvious, isn't it? Adam, I promise I'll talk on AIM more when I have time and am not dead tired. Ken, I hated to see you go, but I see you on AIM and Myspace daily, so I'll remain content with that. Cal, my Malibu In Training, story trader and advisor at times. Tony, you've grown as a writer and have been loyal to this place from day one, since if it wasn't for you it would'nt be here. Caboose, who did a lot for me early on and I will always be in debt to you for that. Same with CWM, who despite our completley different lifestyles, built a great friendship with me and is always quick to get me involved in something with him, whether it's WDI, AIM chats, threads...whatever. You know that if you see the two of us, it's gonna be good. Hoff...I'm going to see Kelly Clarkson on April 28th and you're jealous. Rob, you're Italian. I like you for that. OK, so I can't really break it down and thank everyone individually as much as I'd like to, because it's been the group effort that has made these shows great and kept everyone interested. So to cut this short before it becomes a rambling Zack promo (even though you do love them) I just want to say that I thank you all for bearing with me. A lot of you are true friends that I'd give the shirt off my back if it's what I needed to do to repay you for all you've done. I might have some more responsibilities these days, but this place will always remain one of them, and I hope I'm able to maintain it and keep it fun for you all. Thanks again, Chris "Zack Malibu/Zack Attack/Preppy/etc. etc." DePetrillo

    TNA Destination X predictions

Have they even mentioned Waltman since the run in last PPV? I haven't caught Impact lately, but all I see in the spoilers is stuff about Gunn, and it's as if Waltman vanished. Again.

    Speech! Speech! Speech!

Would you get mad if I smashed my beer over Phenom's head for ruining a heartfelt, sentinmental thread? Or should I just have him job to Popick repeatedly, even at house shows, before losing the opening match at AM to KJ Brackish?

    Speech! Speech! Speech!

The thing is, I love the kids I work with. I'd adopt nearly every one of them if I could. The people around here? Not so much. I actually have a pic of me and my favorite lil' buddy that I have to scan from a hayride trip we took this past winter. It's sad what some of these kids have to go through, and it's very trying working with them at times, but I honestly can't imagine myself in another profession right now. And I didn't mention a lot of people by name, but not by choice, just because I would have dragged it out forever.

    Zero Hour 2005 Feedback!

The announce team needs to remain as is for now, at least until post-AM. Then we can make changes. Northstar had his throat crushed last time he was around, so by now he probably sounds like Brian Pillman. Awesome. And if we are replacing the commentators, Caboose needs to stay, as it's his way of staying "in the scene" so that he can return to writing at will, instead of randomly disappearing/reappearing all the time.
  20. I remember Matt Christopher books. I never expected to hear a reference to them on here, let alone in this folder.
  21. I'll play this game. Here goes. Why did you choose that name for your character? "Urban Legend" Todd Cortez was a fantasy character I had made up ages ago that was perserved in a notebook full of old ideas that I had always scribbled down. Shane Thompson, the original planned character for me in the SWF (whom I had used in an e-fed called ice which later evolved into the ICW or some such back in '99-'00) wasn't what I wanted to do, as I felt he was somewhat similar to what I was doing as Zack Malibu at the time in the OAOAST. Wanting to go a different route, I debuted here as the Spanish straight edge street thug with a heart of gold. Why do they look the way they do? His look is based off how you see most Hispanic gang members or street types in movies/music videos, combined with a bit of that cruiser look (re:baggy leathery pants). Picture a more stern, less childish looking Mysterio when he was unmasked in WCW. Why is their character the way it is, and is this different from how you originally envisaged them? Well I had never done much evolution with this character as it was just something I had the idea for and jotted it down some 5 years ago. When I decided to do something different than Zack Malibu, I thought about possible angles to use for Todd. Here's this guy, a legit badass with a chip on his shoulder, but what's the reason for it? Why did he agree to take the place of Shane Thompson? Why is he so loyal to Mike Van Siclen? Why does he never quit, even after he's beaten to a bloody pulp? All those things relate to the backstoy of Todd's deceased brother, which I'll explain how I came up with that. Breaking kayfabe here for a moment, Cortez's feelings over his brother's death were taken from, well, me. My own personal experience. Without delving into much detail as this isn't really the place for it, my cousin, who was very much my older brother figure in life and to this day remains an idol to me, was shot and killed back in 1996. The person responsible is still out there walking free, at least as far as I know because the police were never able to solve the crime. It's something that's put a chip on my shoulder so to speak ever since, and has made me take trust and loyalty in people very seriously. In that essence, much of Todd Cortez is me. The best characters are just extensions of the person behind them. If there was one thing you would want your character remembered for, what would it be? The amazing tag run with MVS that broke me into this style, and the current hardcore stuff, which I've done my damndest to make interesting and innovative all at the same time. Hopefully if we do another one of these down the line, I'll have some other highlights to add.

    Feedback for the 2/24/hd

My segment is now added in, featuring the returning mystery team, the match, and a match made for Zero Hour. All fairly important developments. FYI, the returning team is around for the long haul. Bios, explanations, movesets, and all that jazz will follow this weekend, but they are a part of our active tag roster.

    The O.C.

This was probably the best episode this season. From the playing of "End of the Road" to the Spider-Man kiss, and the opening where the two needed to talk and were afraid of going out in the rain, I loved every minute of it.
