The person that pulled off the single most pathetic act that I have ever seen (and I have seen a guy have to take his sister to prom, a guy get on his knees and beg a girl to forgive him for making her cheat on him, and a woman take 2 weeks vacation to mourn the passing of her dog) calling ANYONE pathetic creates such a huge sphere of irony, that it has developed its own atmosphere and gravitational pull which has sucked all the good points of this thread inside it never to be seen again.

You know, this isn't the 80s people. Guys aren't shooting up with horse steroids anymore while they sniff coke, drink vodka, and take painkillers. It would be a horrible thing to broadcast, but cycling steroids is not going to make your heart explode and turn you into cripple when you get older like they used to. Science has evovled. Rampantly taking them will cause huge negative effects, but these guys KNOW what they are doing these days. "He was using steroids" is no longer a realistic reason to assume death. Being drunk off his ass while taking painkillers on a daily basis for years is what caused this type of damage. I think there is alot of steroid use in the WWE, but I highly doubt that there is much steroid abuse. There is a difference. Unless we are going to still live in the afterschool special world where you take one steroid and you are slapping your mother, running a 4.1 40, and having a heart attack.

If you look at the team the CLippers are putting on the floor night in and night out, you can see they aren't going to keep this pace, although Sam Cassell, when healthy, doesn't really miss the playoffs. Diaw and Barbosa have become beast for the suns, but for the love of god, give up a first rounder if you have to and get Melvin Ely...ANYONE that can score on the post til Amare gets back.

Yeah, he said how exposure, popularity and sales are all making him RUN the rap game. Only thing is exposure is paid for. Kanye has just as much exposure as 50. Talk away promos for the movie and I say Kanye is a little ahead. His popularity is definately declining, and sales, while his album is good, Tony Yayo and Young Buck have both just released albums that are on pace to go copper. I could see if you were arguing Eminem as running the rap game, seeing as he is half in charge of 50, his last album sales are right on pace with 50, and he has displayed more longevity, plus that whole "one of his albums selling 10 million" thing.

I am just saying that noone ever called MC Hammer the king of rap because of his sales. Because 50 sells to the TRL crowd does not make him the king of this genre of music.

Great game. Despite the losses, I like that Phoenix is hanging in there with every team they have played and honestly could have/should have won every game. The lack of a post player is hurting them, but all they have to do is hang around in the West and they will be in great position when Amare comes back. Amare doesn't even have to play well when he comes back, just give them a semblance of a presense in the low post, because without one they are dead in the water late in games. Diaw starting and Jones coming off the bench is looking damn good, and Barbosa has a run going now. Hopefully they can keep it going. Kurt Thomas started getting that Jumper to fall and Brian Grant has his knees for now. This can be a very deep and and dangerous team once the major piece is back on the court. And honestly, I am sick of listening to Charles talk about how the SUns can't win because they can't play D. They play damn fine D this year. Teams aren't coming back because phoenix aren't getting stops. They aren't getting points. There were 5 mix-matches on that court tonight and they shouldn't have been in the game...or any of the games they have played. The suns "big man" is 6'9". Still one of the elites in the west in my eyes.

See its the fact that they are in the NFC and ANYONE can win that. They STILL have a legitamite chance returning to the superbowl, but they were teetering between a bad year and a decent year (which is all you will need to win the NFC) and taking off your arguably most talented offensive weapon (could rank anywhere from first to third in peoples mind) is HURTING your team when the worse thing TO did was be a a loudmouth and hurt some feelings. So it becomes would you rather give up a legit chance to win a superbowl or play with a guy for the second half of the year and be done with him at the end of the year. You know that saying If you don't want the offense to celebrate in the endzone, don't let them score, well if you don't want some guy on the team calling your performance into question perform. AND tell TO to shut the fuck up to the media and REALLY make him pay ($$$$) for it if he didn't. I guarentee that if they gave him that provision to return, he would shut the fuck up in the media. At 4-4 in the NFC, they are what...2 games out of first place? You keep the best team you can have on the field for that one. Teammates call out teammates on every team and everyweek. Just don't do it to the media and thats where TO was being an ass (or trying to up his importance so that he could get more money). first of all, lets stop pointing fingers in the TO/Douglas thing. In all fights, it is rare that one person "started it" I guarentee that TO called out Douglas on the comment and Hugh said something back and back and forth. It didn't end with some innocent "joke". Second, he didn't "challenge all his teamates to fight him" he said if anyone has something to say to him say it now and we can handle it now. Dude was angry. Big whoop. Hugh Douglas told TO he would beat his ass last year in a elevator. Shit happens. TO, while I don't think his statement was that bad, you don't diss a teammate like that and he was wrong in that aspect, but at the same time....SO. You don't give up you best offensive weapon because some of the teammates don't get along. You take that many people and put them together, someone isn't going to like someone. Deal with it. When they start affecting the product on the field, then talk to me. Argue all you want, TO kept producing on the field and without him there, Donavon has looked awfully bad. So now you have injured starting QB, no running game, no recieving threats, and a defense that isn't scaring anyone anymore. Don't give me that "they did it without TO last year" crap. This isn't last year. THIS team needs him.

I still think that TO is in the wrong on this one, but he is the one that shows up to work and performs despite not getting along with teammates. That is actually being professional. If you can't be on a team with a guy because you don't like him, well you just need to grow the fuck up. Although TO did a wonderous job of making some of the teammates not like him, at the end of the day, Kobe didn't like Shaq, Isaiah didn't like Lambier, but they went out there and did what they needed to to win a fucking ring and hated each other later. What round did you see diaz win though? I would have said 10-9 diego in every round too. That 30-27 in the Luke Joe fight was bullshit though. But man, the Heavyweights are in for some shit kickings. Rashad's stand up has improved greatly since the show when off and he was killing brad with the combos, but he still doesn't move his head and still leaves himself open for a world of submissions on the ground. A more experienced fighter will make short work of him. Brad...if he was fighting a more experienced fighter he would have been KO'd in the first round. No reason for Rashaad not putting this away early. Plus, they were GASSED. Still, I enjoyed all the fights, and diego and Diaz looking like they had been dipped in blood at one point was pretty cool. But seeing as I don't like Nick Diaz,I was happy to see him lose, although if he could have kept Diego up, he would have one. He also doesn't seem to believe in moving his head.

If bama finishes undefeated I would like to see someone justify them not playing in the title game. That schedule is brutal.

As for being the top selling artist, I do believe that young man that he is taking credit for is on pace to outsell him. Plus, seriously...Jay-z could drop a album of him brushing his teeth and outsell 50 right now. Plus, dude is president at def jam. when I say running the rap game, I mean LITERALLY running the rap game. 50 isn't nearly as popular as people think he still is. Dude is constantly getting booed at concerts now, and I amsure that movie ticket sales will be awfully telling. The 50 run is nearing its end.
