A year from now, things may be different for either the better or worse. For all we know, things could get way better and they won't need Hogan/Austin to fill Ford Field. Perhaps things go really bad and they move WM from Ford Field to Cobo Hall for "safety precautions" like with WM7 aka they can't fill up Ford Field. My guess is they still can't get Austin/Hogan to agree on anything. I may be reading too much into some things, but the way Hogan acted at the HOF ceremony just seemed like perhaps they were talking about it, but couldn't come to an agreement and then Austin pulls out the can of whoop ass line and Hogan looked very uncomfortable when he said it. He also no sold it. I would think if they had agreed to work a buildup to a match, Hogan would've looked more confident and perhaps shot back a better expression. Then again, maybe Austin and Hogan didn't want to upstage Bret. However, Hogan wouldn't really care about something like that, so who knows. Hogan also said on Bubba the love sponge that he was going to be at Raw to do something with Austin, but nothing came of it. Perhaps it was just Hogan being Hogan and blowing smoke up people's asses again. On Keller's Raw audio report, he said he's talked to people close to both men and they are adamant at not doing the job to one another and since both men have a ton of money still, they really don't need the match. With that all said, I just don't think this match happens. Don't get that twisted, I'd love to see that match, I just don't think it'll happen now.

My bad. I was figuring his violation/infraction was something right after WM like the after party or something.

I can watch an entire baseball game, but it HAS to be a playoff game. Then I can really get into it. I just don't put as much focus on game #whateverthefuck in the long ass season that is baseball.

If that's the case, then Randy did a hell of a job. While that match was way, way too short, all 3 men were very good and had enough left in their tanks for another 10 minutes at least. If Randy drank beforehand, it didn't show.

Ratings from TNA's first head-to-head showdown with WWE
Dangerous A replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
That would be a nice excuse... if the games on Saturday weren't finished before Impact started. Exactly. I hate that excuse. Just like when people tried to cite SNME's low number because of the the tourney when it was only the first weekend rounds and those rounds produced some of the worse ratings numbers ever for the tournament this year. -
I think you are right. I was just correcting everyone who falls in love with the Randy bag-shitting myth. Although as another poster has elluded to in this thread, shit makes for a better story.

Ratings from TNA's first head-to-head showdown with WWE

In the latest Observer, they said that the 4/13 thursday debut show will have only 2 matches because they want to give Joe vs Daniels and Sting's TV in ring return a lot of time. -
I totally agree with Stylesmark. He will probrably come back at Judgment Day or something.
-
Which was completely unrelated, Austin is a wife-beating drunk and they still promote him as an unbeatable bad-ass. To the point where he was still stunning women and drinking beer afterwards even though his case was still pending.

Mania 14 was only truly blown off because HBK's back was dust by that time and he couldn't physically have a rematch.

Orton did something with one of the first Diva Search contest contestants who was retained (name escapes me) where he was trying to hit on one of them, they said they didn't know who he was and asked him if he was from Canada. That's when he delivered the infamous "I hate Canada and I hate you" line.
-
I thought he threw a drink on Amy Weber. That's wrong too. That was Edge.
-
People got it wrong, Orton didn't shit in someone's bag. He doused someone's bag with water or something. The story got built up to where everyone now says he shit in the bag. Someone in the late 90's shit in Rena Mero's bag, which led to her quitting WWF. Ranks up there with WM3 drawing 93,173 people as far as wresling mythology and lore.

When I think of professional conduct, the first thing I think of is WWE's lockeroom. Seriously, wonder what the hell did he do?
-
The headline on Figure Four Weekly's site says he was suspended for unprofessional conduct. Considering some of the stories I've heard from the lockerooms, he either did something really fucked up or there is a lot more to this than we may ever know.
-
Pain Pills or Steroids? Behavior issues again. Perhaps a little of both all of them? I hate sketchy details.
-
What happens after next Monday that they can't sign Goldberg? Then Sting's partners for the Lockdown ME will be Killings, Rhino, and Styles.

The way the news/rumor blurb is put (it's the same in the newsletter as the original post) it sounds like they dumped Team UK because Team Canada needs to be there because God forbid Scott D'Amore & Team Canada not be on a PPV. If the Team UK thing fell through, I figured they'd just say Team UK fell through and replaced with Team Canada.

The list is Top 25, not top 200.

Being an A's fan, I was hugely disappointed in last night as well. I was watching the National championship game all the way through to the second half. Since that started to get ugly, I decided to see how the A's were doing. I ended up turning the National Championship game back on after seeing the score in the 4th inning. Here's hoping Harden and Haren/Blanton (not sure which is 3rd) clean up. (that is if they aren't rained out)

I actually wanted to see if the X Division guys could work the European counter style and not have to rely so much on spot-spot-flying spot style. Even if it wasnt' main eventing, I just wanted to see something a little different in terms of style. If the CMLL team comes, you will see a different high flying style and pacing versus the usual X Division fare. No one from Team Canada is bringing something to the table that I haven't seen already in spades. That's why I'm mad about Team UK being on the outs.

Ratings from TNA's first head-to-head showdown with WWE
Dangerous A replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
I don't think it's as bad as it could've been and it's not the be all end all, but one thing I read from that is TNA is very much not ready to go head to head with WWE in a monday night timeslot. -
Yes. It would be more non sensical than when Bischoff and Russo united in WCW 2000.

If you can put the blame on 1 person for the decline of the WWE...
Dangerous A replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
Vince for me. Steph, HHH, Dunn, Laurinitis, whoever the fuck, just do what they think Vince wants while trying to get theirs, because in the end, he has the final say. So yeah, ultimatetly Vince. -
Lashley needs to go back to OVW and learn how to work first. Then move him to Raw. The guy is a stiff and while he's had some heated brawls with Finley that I dig, he hasn't blown me away in the ring and I believe his longest singles match is something like 10-12 minutes. I like him and he has marketability up the wazoo, but he was brought up too soon and needs more polish.
