    Lesnar legal news

Actually Vince and WWE can get out of this by agreeing to pay Lesnar for his old deal, which is the root of this whole thing because when Lesnar wanted back in several months ago, WWE was willing, but at a way lesser downside than before he left. Ultimately, if Vince feels threatened Lesnar goes to TNA, he could just pay him. However, how dumb would it be to pay a guy a million dollars a year to sit out or worse, get buried publicly like you know WWE would do?

I'd rather peel the skin off my crank with a potato peeler than give any of my money for that.

    Lesnar legal news

Believe it or not, I don't think Lesnar is that great a fit in TNA. They don't have a lot good opponents to match him up with, which is the exact same reason he is tanking in New Japan right now.

For the legal buffs out there, a WWE Contrat from 2000

I think WWE basically included anything they could in the contract to protect themselves, even if it wouldn't hold up in court, banking that they can bury the talent in legal fees and paper to the point it wouldn't be worth fighting them over because WWE basically has unlimited resources in terms of legal stuff, but a wrestler would get starved out fighting them. (like Brock almost did)

    TNA's first house this March?

Border issues aside, I think they are waiting to see if Bret will possibly make an appearance for them.

    TNA's first house this March?

Taking the ppv's away from Orlando is not a bad move IMO. They need to be very selective where they do house shows and how many they do because house shows can kill you very quickly and TNA isn't out of the red just yet.

    This week in the NBA

With the Clipper-Pacer Artest deal falling apart, reports are saying GS is on the clock now. With the Warriors now falling below .500 after last night's loss to the Suns, I'd say the Warriors need to pull the trigger and get Artest in there before they become even more of a disappointment this year.

Looks like Steve Francis is suspended by the team indefinitely... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2289923 I'm banking he gets moved before the deadline.

Sting will turn Heel at Final Resolution

Sting is not going heel. He is a born again Christian and will not want to go along with that. He has enough clout that he can shoot down a heel run.

    TNA Spoilers from Orlando

I think TNA's inept booking for programs on top are just not connecting with people moreso than the Orlando crowd being Smarky Smark and the Funky Bunch. If what TNA was doing was connecting in any way, the crowd would at least hear what Jarrett has to say at first before the boring shit. Since Jeff has failed to connect with the fans or have any of the top babyfaces connect, the crowd is responding negatively.
  12. From Observer... I am shocked at this one. I didn't think it would drop, but being Xmas Eve, I did expect some drop.
  13. Alvarez and Meltzer were talking TNA a few weeks ago and hit on something regarding making stars. They said that TNA needs to focus on making 2, 3 max people into stars. They said if you put the focus on making 2-3 guys, the rest will come, but if you try to make 25 guys into stars, you'll fail at making even one.

    This week in the NBA

I don't think Kobe was goaded into it so much as he let the situation get away from him. Happens to a lot of us. I am a pretty level headed guy who doesn't have much of a temper and love to hoop. Sometimes guys get physical. I don't mind getting physical back, but when you go into the relm of hurting someone, I can see even the most collected guy losing it. Kobe very much deserves the suspension because it is against the rules to intentionally hit someone in the neck or higher, but I can see where he was coming from when he did it.

    This week in the NBA

I was expecting one game just because he doesn't have the reputation of someone like Artest or Fortson of doing this on a regular basis. However, I think they gave him 2 for coming out and admitting that he went after a guy. Since this isn't a regular thing for him, he's gotta learn to throw 'bows around the chest area. Anything from the neck or above is going to get you in trouble.

    Moderator Change. Part 2.

It's cool. I wouldn't say I love HTQ. He knows what he's talking about in terms of a wrestling convo, but I can see how he rubs people the wrong way with his blog and name calling. He may agree with a lot of what I think about pro wrestling subjects and issues and vice versa, but I wouldn't call myself some kind of a disciple of his and vice versa. We just have different approaches to people on the board.

TNA iMPACT Rating for Christmas Eve

Best explanation I've heard is that because it was Xmas Eve, most people are home, yet by 11pm, most get togethers are over by then. By comparison, the New Year's Eve rating will probrably be bad because by design, most people are out and about partying or not thinking of watching a specific TV show.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Just got done watching the Christmas Eve show. Decent, but the booking of Christian has been botched in that he has already been outsmarted by Jarrett and Co. He will not get over this way and they are already cutting his legs from under him by having Jarrett get one over on him so early. Jarrett shouldn't get one over on Christian until after their first match together or Christian can rest the title from Jarrett. Now, Christian basically comes off as just another dumb ass who gets outsmarted by Jarrett. Part of the reason Batista works well in WWE since his push to the top is because he wasn't outsmarted early on in his push. It wasn't until way later that heels started to get heat on him. Fans do not want to get behind incompetent babyfaces. Speaking of babyface/heel dynamics, does Jarrett just like to blade and get color in his main events for shits and giggles? He bladed in the main event of last ppv and a couple before that and I'm trying to figure out why. I know someone will say that it's to put over the beating he is getting at the hands of the babyface, but color in matches is supposed to get sympathy for the babyface so when he makes his comeback, it's more dramatic. Jarrett really has no good reason for doing this other than trying to get more attention to himself.

    *Smackdown Spoilers*

So I guess they are trying to draw the "wrongly accused of sexual harassment" audience? I guess WWE doesn't do rape, they do "sexual harassment". Thing is, I'm not shocked or upset or anything. I just think it comes off as a company screaming up and down like a child desperate for attention. Last week, it was suicide. This week it's alleged rape/sexual harassment. It just comes off as desperate and pathetic. I'm assuming Vince or someone in creative got accused of sexual harassment and this is their way of venting since a lot of the promos and such lately have been a sounding off board for Vince and Co.

How does Dusty's work in TNA have anything to do Jericho playing 'net games again or Dusty being the front runner for the WWE Raw Commisioner role?
