"Phil, do you know how angry I am, woman?" "HEEEEEEY PHILLIP!" They battle it out for my fanboydom.

The Hippies prove to be smarter than your average hippy. "You gotta make em feel good so you can get in their pants later", this + the confusion over the manwomen makes those two pure goldish.

He didn't say Kellie was a better singer, he just said he liked her more. Pickler is hotter, and cuter, and funner to watch. -

AMERICAN IDOl-SEASON 5: THE THREAD

Wow, she has absolutely no stage presence. It looks like shes forcing herself to look like she has fun. Trying to do the eyebrow raise like she was McPhee. YOU GAL, are no McPhee. SHE FUCKED HER THUMB?! GOOD LOWAD. -
I don't hate either guy, I think both guys are incredibly stale and I don't particularly want to see either guy wrestle, let alone pay to see them wrestle, nevermind paying to see them wrestle each other. They are mind-numbingly predictable. If they laid into each other with shoots that'd be something interesting, but Cenas hands are tied and HHH would rather jerk himself off than get heat on their match.

Wow, could Simon make it less obvious that he's trying to stack the top 12 with his own personal choice? I thought Melissa was the best of the night so far. Katherine just blew an opportunity to rack in some of the nerd votes by acting flirty about Chicken Little. Oh my god... she's enforcing the stereotype. AWESOME. -
A Mall is a much more open space than CTU, which is very closed off and condensed. So everyone dying quicker makes some sense since there would be a higher concentration of gas in the area. I couldn't believe they killed off Edgar, even when it was obvious, I was like "no, they just can't". I am still not 100% convinced the dude is dead.

Oh, I laid down a challenge.

She turned the corner and immediately started to run, her mind moving a mile a minute. She never thought her life would turn out this way; one day she was modeling in Milan, the next she was being chased by an international drug cartel after being betrayed by her best friend; her entire family murdered and buried in oil drums at the bottom of the ocean never to be discovered, never to be given a proper funeral. Tears began to fill her eyes, so much so that it clouded her vision. But despite this, she continued to run. She wouldn't stop. She couldn't stop. If she ran further enough away, maybe she could escape it. Them. The past. Everything. It was by chance, or by perhaps something more, that she was to crash into who she did. It was like hitting a brick wall, infact, that's what she thought she ran into. But brick walls don't smell so nice. She rubbed her eyes and saw a hand being offered to her. It's been so long since she trusted another human being... "M'am" a deep, yet warm, voice said, "Are you ok?" She looked up beyond the hand and straight into his eyes. There was something about them... Immediately she clasped his hand, it was strong and worn, yet the strength didn't overwhelm her. He pulled her up off the ground. "You're crying...", he said gently. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.. to..." She couldn't finish her reply. "It's alright, it's alright". "No, it's not alright. It's falling apart. Everything is falling apart!" The tears started to flow again and she began to tremble. He put his hand on her shoulder and she began to calm herself. "It's alright. There is nothing that can fall apart that can't be put back together again. I know that more than most, because I am living proof. After the federal government tried to take down me and my family and failed, I had to pick everything they broke into pieces and start to build it up again, piece by piece. It takes a while, and it takes a lot of hard work, but in the end, we're better for it." His words were the first things to make sense to her since the whole ordeal went down. Her mind started to clear. She realized that she knew this man and she began to laugh and smile as she said "You're Vince McMahon! OH MY GOD, I LOVE THE WWE!" She then realized that the reason she was so down and out and so stressed-filled was because she never got to see that one constant in her life. She thought to herself, "Why should I continue to run, continue to find that escape from all my problems when the answer is right there in front of me, in the comfort of my living room?" Monday Night Raw was a staple of her household for years. Her parents watched the WWE in the 80's and used to regale her with stories of Tito Santana and Sgt. Slaughter. Her grandparents would take her to non-televised live events and tell her about Buddy Rogers and Pat Patterson. The sense of family was brought back into her heart as she thought about the WWE and the feeling of loss and sadness was wiped away clean and all that was left were smiles and great memories of wrestlings past. She then remembered that she could see all these classic superstars of yesteryear and relive those moments her parents and grandparents talked about with WWE 24/7, and that as long as those moments, those memories, lasted, that her family would never truly be gone. A weight was lifted off her slender shoulders. The pain was gone. She could stop running, stop crying, and start living again. All thanks to this one man who had the kindness and thoughtfullness to tell a crying girl that everything would be alright. She kissed him, long and passionately. Her heaving bosom pressed against his muscular chest. Her long blonde hair caressing both their faces. Her tongue moving slowly from her mouth to his. He was stunned. A happily married man with two children and two grandchildren, he had no reason to have his lips touching another womans. But he had to do it. She was clearly in trouble and needed a shoulder to cry on, he couldn't just reject her like this. It was a problem he had throughout his life, women just found him appealing and would force themselves on him. Was it the power he commanded? His immense wealth? His well-defined physique? His legendary virility? His bedroom eyes? His perfectly coiffed hair? His strong jawline? His muscular build? His large arms? His rounded bottom? His attention-grabbing package? His humour and goodwill? His personality and wit? His ability to capture a collective mind and attention? His presence? His ability to light up a room? His never-say-die attitude? His ability to put what's best for business above everything else? His forgiving nature? His desire to give others what they want? Was it this, or was it the notion that a person can be all this and still be so misunderstood? He didn't know, he just knew this woman needed him and he had to be there for her... even if it meant having to sexually please her beyond any notion of pleasure she ever had imagined before.

Canadian Oscar Coverage... its so what Canadian Oscar Coverage should be.

UFC was a money-losing venture for years for Zuffa, the first show they made money on was Ortiz/Shamrock, I believe. Right now they are trying to recoup the costs of those first few years. With that said, I wouldn't buy these shows if it were just me watching them at their current prices. It's hard to sell new fans on something that requires a relatively large investment. I don't want the UFC to become like boxing in that you have 3 fight shows that cost $50.

It's like Baywatch Nights, only much worse with probably more voodoo.

I might have to change my tune about GSP/Penn. Rewatching it, that first round was pretty even, IMO. Grappling-wise, neither guy did enough to warrant points in their favour, though Penn defended extremely well. GSP and Penn hit each other pretty much the same amount of times in regards to punches, which really surprised me on second-viewing, and GSP hit Penn with way more legkicks. Rush was more aggressive as he initated most of the exchanges between the two and controlled better than Penn did, but Penn did more damage. The thing which skewed it, which made it seem like a blow out, was the blood on GSPs face and the commentary playing it up and not giving Rush credit. I thought Rogan got over his Rush hatred after the Trigg fight, but I guess not, so they made it appear like Penn was fucking St. Pierre up when the reality was quite different.

That's what you get for doing picks.

I wanted GSP to go out there and beat the fuck out of Penn. I knew it wouldn't happen, but that's what I wanted. I knew the best strategy for him was to score takedowns and out-point BJ. That's what he did, so I'm not disappointed in the quality of the fight. I am surprised that BJ wasn't more aggressive with the takedowns. I have the feeling that after the successful striking in the first round, BJ figured he should continue the stand-up game and rather than play it smart and go for takedowns he played it confident and content. GSP won the fight, but I don't think he proved he was out-right better than BJ since BJ did more total damage. GSP did prove he was a smarter fighter and took advantage of BJ's confidence. Why BJ would let GSP close the distance against the cage is a bit baffling. I assume LT is drinking the pain of Fisher losing away.

At UFC 46 (Early 2004) BJ Penn defeated Matt Hughes to become the Welterweight Champion. After the fight BJ competed in K-1, against UFC's wishes, against Dwayne Ludwig. UFC stripped BJ of the title because they dont want their champions fighting in other companies at the risk of them losing. At UFC 50 (Late 2004) Matt Hughes defeated Georges St Pierre to become Welterweight Champion as the vacated title was put on the line (St. Pierre was still in his rookie year in the UFC having defeated Karo Parisyan and Jay Heiron earlier in 2004). To put it in wrestling terms, it's like if Batista came back and said to Kurt Angle, "I'm the true champ".

BJ beat Hughes 2 years ago for the Welterweight Belt and never lost (or defended) the title. At LOTCs house we did the Chute Boxe Huddle and Jump in celebration of GSPs win. I am hearing mixed reactions to Loiseau/Franklin - on one end I am hearing it was this big time war, and the other end is Loiseau is a pussy. I dunno where I stand, though I would like to stand on the big time war side.
