You should. Paris numbering all of the staff at the newspaper was classic Paris.

"Welcome to the SH, BITCH!" Fuck yeah. NO! Why must they mess up Luke and Lorelai?! This is too much. Too damn much.

This fight is supposed to accomplish 2 things for the UFC (from the UFC's perspective). 1. Draw a big buyrate, where current fans and old fans alike will pay to see Royce Gracies return to the octagon. 2. Make Matt Hughes a huge star for beating Royce Gracie They aren't looking for a great match. They are looking for great money. They can stack the undercard with good fights. And Royce will pwnd Hughes. Make him tap like a baby.

My standards are so low for UFC HW, that I was pretty impressed with Silva performance tonight. You gotta realize that when fighting someone who is 6'7 and 265, who also has good jabs and knows how use his reach advantage, it's gonna be hard to stand and trade with him. Every time Silva threw a leg kick, Silva would throw a straight and would connect. That sucks. How do you fight a guy like that? Silva wouldn't play the guard game like he did with Mir, so that's out. Silva connected with some of his punches like Arlovski (who is taller than Silva) did, but Sylvia didn't go down. I think Silva could have commited to those punches a lil more, gotten more power behind them on the step-in, but I'm amazed that he lasted that long considering most of Sylvias fights stay within the first round. Silva could have done more but he did more than I expected of him, and was effective with his wild overhand rights and bodyshots. I'd like to see him back.

That's the stance I'm takin too Snuffbox. Together, our Gracie Markdom shall conquer all the doubters. If he can tap out Ron Van Clief, he can tap out Matt Hughes!

I think Couture/Liddell III is $40 cause it's all special, most of their shows are $35. I think they are doing monthly PPV's now too. Overall a good show. Nothing great, but nothing bad. I enjoyed that HW fight way more than I thought I would. Sylvia has to learn to throw combos that extend beyond 2 punches, because if Arlovski was standing there with Silva putting his hands up like that, the fight would have been over quickly. That said, I'd like to see Silva/Arlovski. Not much of a UFC dream, though, considering both guys' English, Bonnars kimura was sick, though they shouldn't say "expect us to throw down" and not. Post fight interview was great, though. Belfort/Bonnar, make it happen. Goulet's face slid on the mat. BANG~! Shit, Bang vs. GSP would be hot. Leben's post fight was great, "I beat him in one". Hey, so did Lee Murray. Murray vs. Leben would be the greatest fight ever. A wet dream for Dana White. I was disappointed in Jorge, but hey, Leben hits hard. Burkman's good. Damn good. Whose that Gracie feller? "I built this house" !!!! Fuck yeah. Gracie is going to toooool Hughes. B LEE DAT.

I can't stop being so cool, so don't hold that against me. It's hard being in the Elite.

This Huge Announcement by the UFC is bound to disappoint me. Simply because I am too excited and my hopes are too high. Irvin vs. Bonnar better be the slugfest it should be, dammit, or else I might just give up on the whole thing and stop invading the WWE folder with my Pro-MMA antics and stop trying to save all these poor pro wrestling fans from the cold hand of Vince McMahon.

Second best Hendo Pic Ever. -
No, though if they manage to get another 2.0, I think I might freak out. If , there won't be a need for me to pimp it on here, in a few months, people will be in the MMA folder trying to pimp RAW "OH SHIT, YOU GOTTA SEE EDGE vs. CENA! THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME! THEY MIGHT, POSSIBLY, MAYBE, COULD HAVE AN OK MATCH THAT WON'T BORE YOU TO TEARS AND MAY ACTUALLY HAVE A COOL WRESTLING MOVE IN IT!! WWE IS ON THE RISE BABY~! ATTITUDE" Ok, MMAWeekly just said... That's a bit of a holy shit.

As if saying "This is pointless" on this messageboard, isn't pointless? POINT! Ultimate Fight Night is gonna tool this. Plus there's the Best of 2005 airing before it from 7-10. 5 Hours of Awesome vs. 2 Hours of WWE (I use WWE because words like "suck" "shit" "worst thing ever" can't even begin to have the same effect and convey the same meaning as "WWE"). But oooh boy, a grandfather in a TLC match~! Masters vs. Cena~! Shelton Benjamins Mama~!!~!!

UFC goes from having 6 live shows a year to having 18, as well as, new content shows each week. How is that not huge? Remember 2004? Remember 2003? Remember when we couldn't get this shit on a weekly basis and had to wait MONTHS for shit we will get every week now? That's huge.

Vince McMahon Not Happy With Joey Styles
RavishingRickRudo replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Nope. That doesn't describe Joey Styles or any other wrestling announcer at all. rolleyes.gif Oh, so Joey has referenced matches from 1999 in his commentary in 2005? I can't recall him doing that. Joey has made comparisons of one match with another match and putting over both in the process? Here's a whacky question: would Goldberg have been able to do all these magical things you claim he can with a product he has no knowledge of? Goldberg would do research. He said that in an interview with The Law. He talked about how he announced for a beach volleyball game and before the gig he tried to learn everything he could about it, and he would have done the same for wrestling. The ability to focus on the match in front of you and nothing else. So if you have a jobber match on right now that really has no bearing on whatever PPV is coming up or any big match coming up in the show, the announcer should ignore all that big stuff and not bother to hype it up, or not continue to sell something that already happened in the show, and just keep his focus on the jobber match? And how come you didn't list "Selling the PPV?" or "Selling the Big Match?" or "Selling the Impact of an Angle" or shilling in general? -
What are your top five in each division?
RavishingRickRudo replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I really don't want MMA to have an insane amount of divisions simply because I can't keep track of them all. With boxing I'm like, "ok, so this is the super-junior-bantam-feather-light-heavyweight IWBFC title holder... and that means... what now? OOoooh, he's a pound and a half heavier than the junior-bantam-feather-light-heavyweight IWBFC holder." Sooo confusing. -

Goldberg relative to most wrestling announcers is well above them. Goldberg brings up history and past bouts as well as personal information and other tidbits about the fighters, which is a helluvalot more than you see in wrestling. It's hard to find a good announcer, period, for anything and its a job with several subtle nuances that tend to get overlooked because of lil goofs like that or because of their cliched lines and delivery. Why people want someone with encyclopedic knowledge while overlooking and undervaluing the ability to, you know, do the job of a lead announcer is beyond me. And you liked Jeff Osbourne for fucks sake! -

I will sleep on whatever I want! Whether it be a bed of money or a raggedy urine-soaked sleeping bag in a cardboard box at the back of a 7-11, dammit. There's a 123 lbs now? What are they, the leaf-blowing-on-the-wind-weights?? -

But if Cena gets back on track with the fans, would the WWE put the belt back on him and go through on their original plans leading up to WM? I could easily see the TLC match being a bust, only for Cena to come down and "save the day" and deliver some of the crazier aspects of the TLC, which would get over with the fans.

Meltzer didn't like Monsoon either, and yall are fuckin crazy. Monsoon was tremendous. The crazy medical lingo, "the ______ one", and he managed to get over holds as simple as a sleeper by explaining how they work and what they're effects are. Meltzer said that Monsoon kept putting himself over and putting the wrestlers down, but I think that's a load of hooey. I think part of what helped my understanding of wrestling psychology as a kid was Gorillas commentary. -
Camera men taking photos are different from Camera men shooting video. Shooting video means that it gets shown on screen and the fans react. A photo can just be for stock purposes. This is all irrelevant and boring, though

There's also shilling, throwing to various segments, reacting to unforeseen events, finding a place for fluff and knowing when to get down to business, keeping the chatter going and avoiding dead air, and also doing research and throwing in some enhancement material. -
The camera guy probably isn't instructed by the UFC to take only a certain amount of photos of certain things.
