I fail to see how Benjamin looking retarded by tagging himself in and proceeding to get beat within seconds and Shawn Michaels having a "what the fuck?" look on his face does anything good for him. Sure, it hints at a feud between the two, but they could have done that without pointing out how shitty Sheldon Benjamin is. Btw, the tag match was horrible. Did everyone decide to not gel? The only plus here was that Benjamin got to use his deep badass blackman voice in the prematch promo with Shawn. Shawn not caring what other people think goes against just about everything he does in the ring. Vince McMahon as a Judge and the trial of Eric Bischoff was pointless, and even worse, not funny. They build the whole show towards something we knew was going to happen, and failed do deliver on a GM (from what I am told, I stopped watching after the tag match). The only good part was Foley and his lunch box. The rest were just really lame jokes and a pathetic attempt at using legal jargon (which the WWE has a knack for). If the WWE doesn't introduce a new tag team to RAW and build them concurrently with Big Show and Kanes monster push, I fail to see the purpose of Show/Kane partnership. The 3 Team Squash was certainly effective in getting over their dominance, but to not build a potential threat to the tag champs at the same time renders the Show/Kane team worthless. The Edge segment was bad and awkward up until Hayes got on the mic and then proceeded to bury nearly every WWE wrestler by cutting a promo that was lightyears ahead of what's been said on WWE television.

Like I said, they have to renew the Trademark every 10 years. That this one was originally trademarked in 1985, and that this is 2005, sorta suggests that's why they did it. The updated trademark extended to various digital media because it wasn't relevant in 1995 because that sorta thing either didn't exist or wasn't prevalent.

Which makes "Renewed the Trademark" sound like a reasonable answer, right? RRR: Wondering how many people has him on ignore.

Couldn't the same thing be said for the WWE threatening legal action against fansites? Look at it from an internet perspective. Someone types "WWF" in a search engine, instead of getting results linking Fund websites, they get wrestling websites. I never heard any complaints regarding mistaken donations, though.

Most brands that have worldwide recognition are valued at over a billion dollars. The WWF in particular, which relies heavily on its brand name to get donations and support, probably values their brand more than most corporations. To compromise their brand name, even by licensing to the WWE and putting restrictions on the initials, would require -in my view- hundreds of millions in compensation. But the WWF doesn't appear to want to let the WWE use their initials, even if there was compensation. WWE was 100% in the wrong in this situation. Damage would have been easy to prove for the WWF. Go up to anyone on the street and say "WWF" and see what their reaction is.

To buy the initials, I can't see WWF letting them go for under 1 billion dollars.

Do you know how much it would cost to get the rights to use the "WWF" trademark? 1. Trademarks need to be renewed every 10 years. 2. The WWE must have had "World Wrestling Federation" trademarked a long time ago. 3. "World Wrestling Federation" was never involved in the trademark dispute.

When Kennedy cuts a money promo rather than a novelty promo, then you can talk about how great he is on the mic.

It also gives him a sort of importance. "This is how far JJ will go to recruit Haas, so there must be something about Haas worth all this struggle" plus it allows for a blow-off match, plus it contrasts how JJ has Team Canada and AMW on his side (they're in it for the money, power, etc. Haas didn't care about that stuff, but when its his wife on the line...). I don't think the angle could last long, maybe a PPV or two. 3 Months tops from start to finish. You could work in all the cliches from "we've got your (wife) held hostage" movies (for example, Haas holds Gail Kim hostage and tells JJ to give back Gayda 'or else', JJ says 'go ahead, do what you want, i don't care' and Haas' bluff is called and he lets GK go... GK slaps JJ across the face for the betrayal and JJ says "Baby, I knew he was lyin". Haas would also provide for a nice distraction for JJ's next challenger (let's say Christian), so they can delay the Christian/JJ feud in a reasonable way. Of course, at the end, Haas and Christian make an agreement which ends up saving Jackie Gayda and screwing over JJ. Christian and Haas then team together to battle the evil forces.

Basically. They don't have one of those in TNA, do they?

I think if Jackie cut a promo giving her reasons for being there, and then JJ says "Well, I tried to do this the nice way... but Charlie, you ain't playin ball, so I gotta do this my way" and clocks Gayda with the guitar and holds her hostage, telling Haas that if he doesn't show up and help him out at X Event, then it's so long to Jackie Gayda.
