Oh man, Seth just became my favourite fighter and it has nothing to do with fighting.

I haven't seen enough of either guy to give an informed decision/prediction, but my gut is telling me Diego will be able to take Diaz down and put him up against the fence. The issue on the ground is whether Diego will be looking to finish, and be more concerned with punishment than positioning, which will put himself at a disadvantage with Diaz on the ground. Training and strategy for this fight is more important for Diego than it is for Diaz. I don't know how Diego is training for this fight, so it's hard to tell. Ultimately, Saturday it will show whether or not his game plan was right. From what I've see, it looks like Diego will be more in bullrush mode, constantly going for the takedown, and being reckless in his GnP. I think Diaz is too smart and experienced to get initially put away by this. I think that Diaz will be able to get to his feet and tag Sanchez with some good shots, maybe one or two that will get him in trouble. The first and maybe second round will probably go like this. From here, it's a matter of heart, will, determination, and conditioning. Sanchez sounds pretty confident in his conditioning, but training conditioning and big fight conditioning are two different things, especially against a top fighter like Diaz. We know Diaz has gotten gassed in the past against Karo, but I don't see Diego being as active as Parisyan, so maybe Diaz's conditioning won't come into play. Saturday night might be a rude awakening for one or both fighters in terms of getting pushed to the limit. I see Diego getting more takedowns than Diaz gets submissions or shots, so it's just a matter of making the takedowns count for Diego, or making the subs and shots count for Diaz. And this depends on the submission and chin of Sanchez, and takedown defense and subs of Diaz. This fight sorta reminds me of Tanner/Terrell, which may be a good or bad for both guys. I don't think Diegos GnP is good as Evans, but then again I don't think Diaz is as good as Terrell.

    Spoilers for RAW tonight

Vader?@??@ WOWOWOWOWO!!! This is gonna be killer. Oh, and a lil bit off topic... Hey, did you guys hear that new song from this new band from England? I think they're called Onasis. No, wait, that can't be right... hmm... I know I'll remember it sometime tonight... anyways, this new song is FANTASTIC. "... and maye... you're gonna be the one that saves me...". But yeah, Vader, that's gonna rock. Best big man in the world right now.

    Storyline Idea for WWE

Personally, I think it's easier to imagine it with real guys, because then it's plausible. With using the imagination, there is that sort of distance to the story. I mean, it's your story and all that jazz, and I love the idea of a student/teacher feud (just finished watching Star Wars Eps. III, Palpatine/Anakin/Jedi's would SO work in a wrestling format), but I think when you believe that it could happen, it becomes easier to read.

    Storyline Idea for WWE

I think, to start it all off, they need some one to keep hounding the Undertaker about this prophecy and how the end of the Undertaker will be the beginning of something greater. Have some Macbeth-style thing where the prophecy itself and Takers obsession with it leads to his downfall. Or have it be, "You will lose to a man in red", and have everyone think it's Kane, but it ends up being Death -and the red would be blood. I haven't finished it though, cause I need some wrestlers to allign with the characters in the story. It's hard to visualize without some faces to the names.

HTQ's Survey: If You Were A Wrestler...

Prefer to be given only finish and call everything else in the ring? Lay the entire match out beforehand? I like the idea of laying the story of the match out before hand, as well as key (high) spots and perhaps some of the more intricate stuff. I can't imagine myself remembering anything more than a few points, let alone the entire match lay out. Like to have your promo's scripted? Or just be given a couple of bullet points, and wing the rest? Bullet Points. I've done my fair share of public speaking and business presentations and I find this style works best, as long as you know what you're talking about. Blade often? Only on occasion? Would you rather never blade at all? Oh. I am far too pretty too gussy up my face with blade scars. Real Answer: When I need to. What style would you like to wrestle? Why would you prefer to employ that particular style over others? UWF-I style. "Catch" wrestling, I suppose it's called. Why? Because it's easier than regular wrestling, yet you can do a lot with it. Less dangerous, for the most part, as well. Feed holds, grab holds, go from one to another if its not working or if it's reversed. Mix it up occasionally with some southern brawling and All Japan dramatics. Refuse to take certain moves? Only take them when working with certain wrestlers? Any move that hurts... basically. Are there any match types you'd like to wrestle in a lot? Some match types you'd rather never have to work in? 2/3 falls matches. You can do a lot with the psychology. Ladder matches... basically matches where you fall down hard on something really hard... What style of normal match would you like to do the most? Would you prefer to sell or to dominate? Would you like to do long matches? Well, 2/3 fall matches go long. My regular matches wouldn't - maybe 10 minutes tops, average would be 6 or 7 minutes. I dunno. I think I'd be good at selling, mainly because I sell stuff in everyday life, like a playful thwap on the shoulder I tend to act like I just got shot, and I usually get "are you ok?" in response. I am pretty melodramatic. I'm also a size where I can realistically dominate and get beat up, so it doesn't really matter. Would you like to have a manager or valet to work spots with or would you rather just do it all yourself? Valet. Mainly so I can have something nice to look at. *Stasiak* Are there some types of angles that you would refuse to do? Some types of angles that you'd love to do? Those really dumb ones by the WWE. I wouldn't do those. I'd probably get fired for laughing at it... or slapped by Jim Cornette. A Teacher/Student angle would be sweet. But so would a grudge match. What promotion would you like to work for the most? What promotion would you hate to work for? There isn't a promotion (besides UStyle) that would successfully integrate my style, so I would, like, not wrestle. Hey, that's what I do right now . Not work for? ROH. It would go way over their heads ("So... do we... CLAP... now?") What promotion of the past would you most liked to have worked for? What promotion would you have hated working for the most? UWF-i! Hated? Um, UWF! Herb version. Any wrestlers today that you'd like to work against? Any you would avoid working against at all costs? Tamura. I would avoid HHH. What wrestlers from the past would you like to work against? What wrestlers from the past would you not want to work against? Karl Gotch would have been awesome. Lou Thesz too. Inoki maybe. Not want to work against? Hansen.

On RAW when it went from Coach to Steph to Foley to Carlito, how did Steph anticipate Foley coming out, since she had Carlito ready to come down to meet him?

They have a Lyoto Highlight Video over at Subfighter.com. You have to register with them first, but it's an awesome site so why wouldn't you?

    LOST

If we work under the premise that part of the Dharma project was to convince those living in the bunker that they had to stay in the bunker and press the buttom - in otherwords, by using fear - then the needles, the guns, the quarantine is just to instill that fear.

You should go. Not because it'll be fun or entertaining or anything like that. I imagine it will be pretty sleazy. But you should go just so you can tell us how sleazy it was.

    WWE signs former ECW star

They could bring back a wrestler who was injured or fired or something, and say he was placed in witness protection to explain his absense. So while spending time with the Amish, he discovers this raw wrestling talent in Roadkill and decides to bring him to the WWE. It's like witness meets kingpin!

The OAO RAW thread - 10/24/05

It's better to be called an ape than to be called a second-string hack. You won't hear RAW being labelled as the #2 show, or boring, or anything that would damage it, like Smackdown was last night. Not that I care about Smackdown, or anything. Fuck, both shows are boring. It's just not fair that RAW gets to shoot and Smackdown doesn't.

And my love for wrestling has just died...

She should move into prostitution, specializing in servicing elderly gentlemen who can only get off by taking a crap on busty blonde womans chest. It would be a much more respectable role than appearing on WWE television.

The OAO RAW thread - 10/24/05

The Smackdown guys won't buy the RAW guys in the same way they RAW guys buried the Smackdown guys. I doubt you'll have JBL making fun of Vinces skit on Smackdown, and calling RAW bottom of the barrel trash only suitable for the mentally retarded.
