And my love for wrestling has just died...
RavishingRickRudo replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey, I was gonna write something like that. Cept for the part with 2 guys. Hmm... Everyone who participated in that skit should be thinking about trying out another line of work. -

Raven and Jarrett isn't a friendship/buddy thing like what traditionally happens in the WWE. Raven hates Jarrett and vice versa, they just work together for the greater cause. The subtext is that they each believe the greater cause is themselves, which makes the pairing not very long for this world. Once either of them manages to take the gold, they'll soon betray the each other... in theory, of course I can't see Rhino holding the title beyond January, at most. A Rhino/Monty Brown feud as a transition to Monty Browns title challenge would work well, Imo (I don't know if they have done a Gore vs. Pounce angle yet). -

Well I'm saying have Raven come out, take the guitar away from Jarrett, distracting him enough for Rhino to hit the gore and take the win. Then after the match Raven turns on Rhino and joins Jarrett (cause since Raven wants the title, he doesn't want Jarrett to have it, but he's willing to join Jarrett because that's the easiest way to get his title since joining Rhino would mean he'd never get a shot at it). The most exciting way to have this come off is by having the match break down into a bit of a clusterfuck with Team Canada, AMW, Dudleys, etc all in there and brawling on the outside and then having Raven come in the ring when its cleared. That way you can still justify having a cage match, get a winner, and have the Raven turn. -
I think a Eugene heel turn under the retarded gimmick would be successful. But only if JR were announcing. Have Eugene want to be a bad guy and do every cliched heel schtick in the book. Have JR act like "aw, ain't that cute". Then have Eugene get progressively more mean and violent, and still have JR say "Aw, He's just tryin to be like a bad guy. Tryin to be like the Iron Sheik or King Kong Bundy." and then have King act shocked by Eugenes actions.

Like I said before, it becomes a "We must keep the title away from them" storyline. It's not really done very often, infact I think the last time it was done was in WCW during the NWO angle. -

Or have the convoluted mess and then book a cage match for the PPV to keep that mess out (ooh, a 3 way between Raven/JJ/Rhino). -

No no no no no, more like Slamball! You have trampolines outside the ring, guys bouncin, and jumpin, and slammin.... ok, it doesn't work at all... But my god the visual! -

It's a tough decision to make. Do you give a clean win ending that satisfies, or do you leave a bit of a cliff-hanger that leaves the crowd wanting more? To me, they should build the whole show around Raven. Which side is he on? You have that as your mystery throughout the show to keep the viewers watching. Dudleys talk to him about how they created a revolution in ECW, and how they could do it again in TNA and give the crowd something to cheer for again. Shit, make it biblical with the Dudleys appealing to Ravens Pride. JJ appeals to Ravens sense of Greed, talking about how if Raven joins him that he'll get the money, power, and gold. The end of the show you get your answer. Raven prevents JJ from winning, Rhino hits the gore, 1,2,3. After the match, while they're celebrating, Raven DDT's Rhino and joins up with JJ. You win both ways there. -

I think TNA needs a new gimmick match for the X division. Something involving trampolines. They could call it "High Impactolines" and have it sorta be like a ladder match where someone has to bounce up to grab a belt or something... -
C'mon. It's for the sake of humanity.

A good follow-up show with logical progression. I can't imagine Rhino/JJ ending well, though. I think a "Keep the title safe" storyline is better than a "we need the to get the title away from them" at this point, so JJ winning would really suck. A Ultimate X match on TV is something that I think would attract someone who was just flipping through the channels and then sees two guys hanging there and then some crazy move happens. The key is putting it on at the right time, so they can attract the most viewers and follow it up with something that will keep the audience. Having the match again so close to the PPV risks desensitizing viewers, but I don't think that's something they should worry about when they're trying to build the audience. Dudleys/Team Canada SCREAMS for a spot in the match where it breaks down, 3LK with Kip come down, and it ends up with the Dudleys and NAOs in the ring back-to-back, they turn around and go face to face and just look at each other, and before anything could happen Konnan and Killings come in and put the focus back on fighting team canada. It's one of those spots that just places the thought in peoples minds, and it doesn't have to be paid off for a while because it wasn't anything direct. Just a hint. -
So who could TNA have that wouldn't seem bush league? It's a retarded premise to say they shouldn't put a title on a WWE reject, because WWE has more money than TNA and has the top talent, and the only recognizable names they have are the WWE cast-offs. When you don't have the top talent, you have to make due somewhere else. Putting it on someone that hasn't been in the WWE at this point is putting it on an unknown, and that's worse. Trying to out-bid the WWE on wrestlers will just kill TNA financially. TNA is not sold on having the top champion, that's not the reason why people watch the show or buy the PPV's, so making this the big stickling point is fucking useless. TNA is not the WWE, they aren't in the same league which means they are playing by different rules. To play the WWE game at this stage would kill them.

That's hilarious. How can you fight the ocean? It's so BIG.

To me, every time you see a non-brazilian/jiujitsu pull-guard, it's because of Royce Gracie. That's influence. -
I haven't verified, but on DVD they're saying 7 fights next week. WW Semi HW Semi HW Semi WW Final HW Final Diaz/Sanchez Kenflo/Muay Thai Guy

Don't all girls look like that in the WWE? -
I think Luke/Joe would be the most fitting one. Luke and Jason are too similar in terms of being misfits, outcasts, etc. of the show. While Joe is like the popular jock. Joe takes out the rebel Jason and it's up to Luke, the nerd, to get the job done.

I think it was worse than Katie Vick, and I only saw a tiny bit of it and I saw all of Katie Vick. HHH was a better actor than Vince, and was much more convincing fucking the doll than Vince was fucking the doll. -

Saw Vince come out, changed the channel when he started talking about JR, turned it back to see the skit, turned back to UFC, they showed a fight, turned back after the fight and the skit was still going on. I assume they removed JR's head from his ass? This must've been the first time Vince ever got a geniune reaction from someone on his ideas. He looked angry that the crowd didn't react at all to it. So who really has his head up his ass? -
They should have a segment where Monty Brown either pounces the Hurricane, or uses the Hurricane winds to make for a SUPER Pounce.

I'd spoiler tag that. And I disagree.

When Luke fights, he crosses over to the dark side His penchant for violence is delightful.
