    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

And rd 1 of Griffin/Jackson was a 9-9 round. Griffin was winning it up until the knockdown, so it should have evened out.

    UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin

Almeida should have won, as he took rd 3 with the takedown and jabs, plus he landed the best shot of the round. All Cote did was score a few leg kicks. Hopefully he fixes the gassing issue, as it is somewhat understandable given his ring rust and that his last win was a short, easy, one. His GnP in the first round was impressive.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Rich Franklin. Rock, Paper, Scissors. Is awesome.

Plus it will give a good indication if Alves is ready for GSP. Diego is not a GSP-level wrestler, but he brings the pressure and if he is able to get Alves down it will be interesting to see how Alves deals with that.

Mandy Moore + UFC Events = Bonertown Universal Truth. If you don't believe me, wait until the Large Hadron Collider provides results in a few months.

Rogan continually trying to get across the nuances of the rubber guard is a highlight for me. Without fail the guy always lets it go in mid-rogan-sentence.

    Joss Whedon's Dollhouse

Checking out his IMDB shows that he has been somewhat regular on Desperate Housewives. A little part of me has truly died.

They used him a lot better as time went on; he was one of the best, more fleshed out, characters, imo. DS9 probably had the best "characters" in terms of being rounded-out and three dimensional. The episode with he and Sisko bringing the Romulans into the war is a personal favourite.

The stuff with the worm hole aliens sucked too. They kinda got carried away with some of their shit and pushed it too far.

TNG is really, really, good; but it is somewhat inconsistent. I tried for a while to get into it but I kept watching the shit episodes. I found the episodes that dealt with mysteries were the ones that hooked me. The episode where they are in a feedback loop/deja vu, the one where Worf keeps switching realities - those were the ones that got me watching. TNG had probably the most fun with its characters, so if you get attached to them, it can be very entertaining. DS9 is also choice. Like with all treks (well, all modern ones), it takes awhile to get on track (*shudders at Seasons 1 of TNG and Voyager), but basically once Sisko grows facial hair it gets really good, and moreso when they start to serialize it (I got into DS9 late, around the time they were deep into the Dominion war storyline). The best trek episode is from DS9 IMO (the one with Tony Todd as old Jake).

    Box Office Report...

The first Austin Powers was a classic. The rest were balls. Myers has an uncanny ability to take something that worked and the milk it till it dies a horrible, horrible death.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

The Koscheck fight shouldn't even fucking matter. BOTH guys did NOTHING in that fight to warrant a win. The difference was, literally, a handful of shitty punches. No one was in any significant danger and they spent most of their time circling each other. It was a shit fight and both guys looked like shit. Clear evidence that it doesn't matter how look in a fight, what most people will remember is whether you won or lost and then they will fill in the blanks on their own.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

But Fiorivanti isn't a high level wrestler and Diego had trouble with him (though less and less as the fight went on)... the more apt comment would be someone with good takedown defense, given that it takes away Diego's biggest strength in his GnP. Which is becoming a moot point with Diegos developing stand up. Diego, on the ground and off his back is still a threat and I would consider being a strength for him. The only time Koscheck went for a takedown he got in trouble for it. Even against Fitch Diego was still working from his back and I wouldn't exactly say he was shut down. I think you are confusing "taking away his biggest strength" as being "showing his weaknesses", rather than what it really is - just taking away an option when he has more than 1 tool to use. What Diego really needs to focus on, IMO, is finding a way to implement all those tools into his total game, rather than getting into standup mode, or takedown mode, or JJ mode.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

I am really liking where Diego is at right now. Those kicks were sound, and he threw them with such power. I think his main weakness is in mixing it all up when it comes from the stand up to takedown transition, but he showed tremendous aggression which can sometimes make up for it. Saying that his main weakness is against high level wrestlers who can control him is kinda ridiculous. How about listing all the times that has happened to him? Fucking sweet armbar by Dustin. Good fight too.

I think I might have to use the phrase "This is a war to me and we have a very serious situation on our hands now" in general everyday use. *Not enough sugar in coffee* *Various rich people putting mugs on* I think it's switching from "me" to "we" in the same sentence that tops it off. As if his war is all of our problems.

That's what I'm worried about, so I'll probably never watch it for a few years. I was constantly cracking up, though. The scene with him dancing in the forest, endlessly falling down the hill, and then describing it to his friends had me bowled over. The dancing Asian guy throwing flyers at random people also... in fact, I could probably continue-on listing... Rico beating the shit out of that dude with a road marker and then taking his hat. I gotta stop.

    Joss Whedon's Dollhouse

Richards was good in season 5 and had gotten laughs out of me on various occasions. But yeah, it's a sin Alexis Denisof doesn't get more work. Ditto Acker. Nathan Fillion really should be filling in Harrison Fords shoes, imo.

With the way they entered and left the ring at the end there, all the Diaz brothers need now is a mannish womens fighter and they can declare themselves D-X. BREAK IT DOWN!
