Locke saw it as his destiny to get into the hatch. What was down the hatch was the computer. He probably sees it as his destiny -the will of the island- to keep the cycle going. "Are you him?" I believe is what the dude said - "Are you my replacement" was probably more apt. Jack pushing the button, while very disappointing, was a political move. Locke isn't someone he wants as an enemy right now, and there is no one he can trust to be on his side especially after he asked for Kates allegence and the next thing she did was go help Locke. He had to swallow his PRIDE to push the button, but that hard choice was the right one because it bought him some peace and time to sort things out.

Don't you guys feel ashamed for watching that? Or do you laugh to hide the pain?

...Fakes.

This is a thread for those who are (and are becoming) completely disinterested in the WWE and those who have already stopped watching. Identify yourselves here, brothers. Come and share your experiences of apathy. I tried to watch RAW today. I saw HHH's interview, it wasn't bad. I couldn't care less. I've seen and heard it a thousand times before. I saw parts of Steph, but changed the channel before she could form words. She might possibly be the least sexy woman alive. Speaking of which, Trish Stratus, Ashley, that chick who was doing the same thing Victoria did a few years ago. Sandpaper is more appealing than those girls. But that's what you get when all the girls look the same. I saw bits of the cabana with John Cena saying he wants to put his cock in Angles mouth and have Carlito suck his balls. Potential feuds against Big Show, Angle, Carlito, HBK and Edge had my blood rushing... I'm sorry, did I say "blood"? I meant "fingers"... rushing to the remote, that is. Why should I care about any of it? I saw Cena say he lost respect for HHH and saw other wrestlers act like HHH hasn't done this a thousand times before, and I couldn't believe their disgust for a single fucking second. Then I saw Vince and Steph and Linda fuck with JR. You'd think that something like this would get the fans enraged, but to me, there wasn't nearly as much heat for it as there should have been. Why? Because they've done this sort of thing to JR countless times and no one believes it. This is not one of my "GOD I HATE THE WWE~! HOW COULD THEY DO THIS!" rants. No, those were a few years ago. Infact, the rants I have nowadays for the WWE are few and far between. Not because they haven't fucked up in some places, because they probably have. I just don't care enough to complain about them. No, this is just a feeble attempt to convey my disinterest in the WWE and hoping that others here will express theirs, in hopes that somehow, someway, someone in the WWE will read this and realize that fans who have been with them for years, who have loved them, who have hated them, are simply not feeling anything for them anymore, and potentially never will again. My name is John MacKinnon. I live in Mississauga, Ontario. I'm 22. The first house show I went to, and first wrestling memory I have, was a WWF show in the Halifax Forum, in the month of January 1990 and from that day-on I have been with the WWE - through highs and lows. I've cheered Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, The Rock, Brock Lesnar. I've spent countless hours of my life -probably too much time most would say- dedicated to what I thought was one of the greatest shows on earth. And even in my most bitter, venomous, state, I still thought that. And the only reason I was angry was because I thought you, WWE, could do better. Well now I don't. And I am just about done thinking, caring, feeling anything for this promotion that I've spent 15 years of my life following. Because, simply put, there is nothing to feel. I don't even hate that I'm feeling this way. I'm going to move on, just like millions of others have, because it's clear the WWE can't go forward. The only thing is, I'm saying it with words, and I hope others share theirs, so there could be a voice put to the actions. That if millions of people walking away doesn't say anything, maybe a clearer message is needed.

I like how he keeps on reminding everyone that he's found God now.

I loved how this played out with Hurley and the dude from Road Trip and how selfishness was bound to overtake the lil community they had, which until that point, was working pretty well together for the common good. I wonder what was so different on the other side of the island? Goddamn, that's mystifying me more than what was down the hatch.

Two words. Holland FUCKING Manners.

I'd torpedo it. Communist Paris. I didn't think they could make her character better. But they did. No one does business like Richard fucking Gilmore. Out of all the moments on the show, it's the ones where the grandparents break from their regular attitude and start kicking some shit that are the best. I marked out for it. The Glitter Kids were creepy. Sookie and Jackson: Parents. Are great. Now let's never see them again. The bit with the TV shows about poking at someones organs to solve a crime... I like those shows. Hell, I was watching HOUSE right before it. It's SOOO true, though. The look at the end from Richard while Rory was up on stage: heartbreaking. It reminded me of the look Richard had when Lorelai was graduating from community college. No one does teary eyed like Richard fucking Gilmore. I don't exactly know what it means, though. He was enraged before, and now he is much more somber. Is it because he realized how much that would have sucked for Rory yet there she is "toughing it out"? Or does it go back to Lorelai?? The old lady at the beginning with the british accent and penchant for booze amuzes me greatly. Her and Kirk need to hook up.

All I will say is that Gail Kim is ridiculously hot in person.

There are different stages in losing your WWEligion. The people who say they watch out of habit, believe me, I did too. I'm pretty sure the majority of folk here who have stopped watching did. You don't just STOP at one point and never go back - it's more of a progression. Soon enough you'll find yourself missing a show or two here, a show or two there, and realize that it doesn't matter if you miss a show, nothing ever really happens and you can always turn back to it and get caught up easily. So then you start missing more and more shows. The habit breaks. And without that "habit", there is no interest at all. -
Alternating stars is a good idea. Dedicate an episode to them, then the next episode keep the heat going through a short promo or skit to build the next week. 2-3 matches tops, IMO, for their shows. 4 is too many. I can understand that many matches in the first few weeks, so they can get over as many guys as possible, but they need to let it breathe. Let the matches have, dare I say, an impact. This is all part of the learning process, but lets hope they're quick learners and get into their groove and find the right balance, because I had to go back and read Dames report on the show to remember how many matches there was tonight and went went on. For a 1 hour show, that much waste is unacceptable.

Holy shit, Herb looks blitzed. Seth Petruzelli looks like he wants to make you his prison lady. Forrest has to be the coolest guy ever. GSP pointing to you like you're "the guy" is fantastic. But yeah, Lei has it right. You raise that fist up and show your warrior spirit, dammit!

I just watched the show tonight. It was actually pretty good. I say that cause I don't really consider myself a TNA fan. Hell, I'm barely a wrestling fan nowadays. But the Dudleys stuff I enjoyed. Like, where this goes is the most interested I've been in wrestling in a long time. I didn't like the execution with Gail Kim, as they should have "revealed" her ("That's Gail Kim!") with her face to the camera rather than showing her back.

Luke is SCARY. That man just got better as the fight went on. Good fight, with some sweet stand up from the young Jedi. I like how they are packaging his character as el nerdo. Next week doesn't look so good, though. The look on Danas face screamed disappointment.

Was Joe Rogan as drunk as he appeared to be on TV??

Cecil Peoples fucks everything up! That's so awesome. How could you NOT notice Tim Sylvia, though

Riveras tentativeness was killing me, especially considering how wide open Hallman was leaving himself by just standing there. Jorges last two bouts in the UFC were losses, and this fight was supposed to get him back into the game - he had to win it. So he didn't take any chances, because he was winning the fight and all he had to do was leave it to the judges and he'd win. I don't respect that, but I understand that. However, that seems to be part of his game as him vs. Loiseau was a lot of hugging, and while his fight vs. Franklin was exciting, that was mainly because of Rich. UFC 55 was one of the weakest shows they've had in a LONG while. I'm talking 2 or 3 years now. Even the shows that were on-paper weak (UFC 50) ended up being pretty damn good. The last show that was this poor was probably UFC 45, and I enjoyed that one more than 55. Their next show is loaded (I might do a lil somethin for it ), so try to check that one out when you can.

Would you purchase a new WWF Theme Music CD?

I was about to write "An Asian Driver", but figured I'd be sexist AND racist and just forgot to drop the n.

I agree with the assessment that TNA talent need to stand out on their own and beat WWE talent. I don't necessarily think that should be right away, though. Ultimately, the WWE names are bigger than TNA names, they are the names a casual pro wrestling viewer would recognize - familiarity is extremely important with any television show, so TNA shows are more accessible with that fan, all they have to do is learn the storylines, not the wrestlers. I wrote the following a month or so ago in regards to the situation as a whole...

Weekend Boxoffice Report Oct 7-9
RavishingRickRudo replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Mole has been notoriously anti-firefly for sometime now. Mainly because he's a bitch. -
Whether either company has the better talent is irrelevant, it's whether or not they can successfuly convey the impression that they have the best division that matters. If they can build the impression that their division is better through (1)having more "stars", (2)having more teams, (3)being more competitive, and (4)having hot matches, then they have the better division. In essense, if they are able to create matches that people want to see, then they have the better division. Right now, I think NAO vs. Dudleys is more of a match that people want to see than MnM vs. LOD or... whoever the tag champs and #1 contenders on RAW are.
