So when did Dylan McKay decide to join EXC and become their lightweight champion?

Jacare over Mayhem is a pretty bold prediction, considering it's a big step up on competition for Jacare and that Miller is hard to submit.

It's more likely to see BJ bulk to 385 and fight Butterbean.

As much as me being consistently more right than Rudo makes me a dick-eater. Not just a dick eater. A whole bag full of em.

    2008 MMA Year End Review

I preferred Torres vs. Maeda from that card. Which is currently my FOTY. It had more variation, plus it had THE HATE~! which Pulver/Faber didn't have. I still think Pulver/Faber was epic, which is something we don't really see nowadays, but I was more excited by the 135 bout.

    Blade Runner '82 cut

What really strikes me about Blade Runner is the visual effects. Not even for the time, but I would rank it better than most stuff I see today on TV and film. I was stunned when I first saw it.

    UFC 85 - Bedlam

I have little doubt that Swick has skills, he just is not choosing to go buck with them.

    UFC "major" announcement thread

Well, UFC would host shows in MSG, which is one of the biggest sports markets in the world, which would generally affect the UFC for a number of years. In terms of media coverage, it's the best place to be. Mind you, *I* don't find the announcement huge, but Dana has a hard on for getting sanctioning in NY. Plus, it opens up other NY cities. A Buffalo show would be nice

Anderson vs. Chuck would be in hopes of piggybacking Silva off Liddell. Spider is so dominant in the division but is not yet seen by the general public as Randy, Tito, Chuck, GSP, are. Getting a rub off Chuck, and possibly a win given Anderson and Chucks relative styles.

... (Mike) Goldberg turns heel? Getting legalized in NY sounds about right for Dana. He has always wanted have MSG host.

    UFC 85 - Bedlam

Swick didn't look good at 85 against Loiseau or Okami. You can look at it (either) two ways: Swick is more cautious against a higher level of competition; and/or Swick is more cautious when there is a contender spot on the line.

    UFC 85 - Bedlam

The front stroke/back stroke ending of Swick/Davis was hilarious. Swick isn't taking risks, and on the odd chance that he does, it's usually a flying knee from a mile away that he gets burned on w. a counter and then he reverts back into a more defensive posture. He relies too much on a range he doesn't even use well. He's like a shitty WW Lyoto Machida.

    UFC 85 - Bedlam

Alves being 5'9 would kill him at MW against guys who are 6'2. WW is the best division for him to be dominant. That knee was sick, his GnP looked great, but I'd like to see him fight Fitch again before getting a shot at GSP. The MW division got a shot in the arm with both Bisping and Kampmann looking tremendous. A number 1 contenders bout between the two would work for me, though it would probably be better to save them each for a shot at the firing squad. Marquardt looked strong, though earns a spot in the Gilbert Yvel/Dirty Bob section of MMA. Leites after the knee looked pretty bad, but then again, the fact that he was able to put up something of a fight after getting his brain scrambled says something of his heart. Herb Dean calling in the doctor for no reason other than to give Leites time to recover was class. Marquardt Sappbombing Thales was dope. Though, I don't think the fight did anything for either man to put them up for a title shot against the champ. Matt Wiman. Fuck that guy. Swick is putting in some fairly uninspiring performances. There really is nothing in his fights that make me think he is a challenger for the belt. It's a shame that Davis got his streak broke, but then again, he didn't do a whole lot to keep it going. I am mixed on the Vera stoppage. He could have lasted the end of the round, but he was doing little to convince the ref he wanted to continue the fight. Even a buck would have helped his cause, but he didn't do it. He just turtled on his side and turned away from the punches which is even worse. Werdum was too big and Vera should drop to LHW... though he'd probably get wrecked there too. *jumps off bandwagon*

    May 31: EliteXC on CBS

Completely unprofessional act by Alves. For a guy who wants to be seen as a contender, this does little to brighten his star. How can he be seen as reliable to make weight for a title bout if he whiffs on the biggest fight of his career? And jesusgoddamn did Gina look so fucking hot kicking that chicks ass. Top female fighter in the world at one hundred and *mumbles* pounds. I would so do her. She can pull guard on me all nite loooong. Am-i-rite? I would never pass guard unless it was to rear mount her. SEXUALLY.

    WEC: Faber vs. Pulver

I thought the 135 fight was FOTN and is my current FOTY. It was more varied than Pulver/Faber and it brought THE HATE. Manny looked PISSED at some points during the fight and that, coupled with Maeda's dicking around, made for a more intense fight.
