See, that's my problem with labeling Lytle as a Gatekeeper. P4P, he's a lot better than other divisions' relative gatekeepers. It's just at WW, the cream is so thick at the top that it's almost by default that he is relegated to that position. Which is unfair to his talents. -

Watched Fracture and Akeelah and the Bee. Fracture was good, if a lil disjointed (not ironically) nearing the end. Akeelah I've seen before and still enjoyed the fuck out of. The montage of everyone reading the cards for her is so awesome. That Lawrence Fishburn was in this and Searching For Bobby Fischer is either a big coincidence, or Fishburn has positioned himself over Morgan Freeman as thee mentor of mentors. -

The disparity at 170 between the high and mid level is perhaps second only to 185 (which is just one guy dwarfing an entire division), so I think that it is unfair to relegate Lytle to gatekeeper status when we're not even talking about a handful of guys who are better than him. And even then, it's not like they are so much better than him that he has no chance no matter how many times they fight. Since losing to Hughes, Lytle has looked *amazing*, which I think deserves him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this "style change". The dude has the tools to be a top ten fighter, and he's finally putting those tools to use. If this were this time last year, I wouldn't have such a hard time relegating him to gatekeeper status, but after those fights it's hard to put him at that level. -

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=37...h&plindex=1 In my TF moment of the day, Marcus Davis in a TNA Wrestling hype package? The fuck? -
I don't know what to think about this episode. I don't really care about Michael, so a whole episode dedicated to him Bill-Murray-in-Groundhog-Daying himself wasn't all that entertaining. And Bens line of "You're one of the good guys!" was really, really, lame.

Lytle would fuck Fitch up on his feet, and taking Lytle down would be difficult. On the ground, Fitch isn't this dominating beast so it's not like Lytle couldn't win rounds on his feet. Fitch is a great fighter, but he has holes in his game that someone as solid as Lytle could exploit. Fitch has looked flawed in most of the matches that I've seen him in, against Wilson he looked nearly done in, ditto vs. Carnerio, and those two guys aren't in Lytle's league. The main point in Fitches favour is that he doesn't wear down as the fight goes on, so he can afford to look bad in round one as he can come back and win the next few rounds. Against Lytle that would be difficult to do. Lytle is too good and as been too competitive with top guys to be considered a gate keeper, imo. He's had some unfortunate breaks, but I think this "reinvention" to a more aggressive Lights-Out can only mean good things for him. Plus, that sub on Jason Gilliam was seven kinds of badass. And he fucking mugged Kyle Bradley. I could see him finding a home for that overhand right on Fitch. -

Matt Serra, win or lose, is a possibility. But then again, it's "the pav" talking. Who the fudge cares? -

Those commercials roq'd. Better for Fisher to be out, I think Aurelio would have Edgar'd him. -

Well, I'm pretty sure there are a dozen shows about "Rich Young White Peoples Problems in California" airing on MTV alone. .... But do they have sideburns? -

Wow, that's really unfair. If I can't jerk off on an airplane, then where the fuck can I? Civil liberties, people. Freedom ain't perfect, but it's the best we got. And more importantly, if I can't drop a load on a random chicks hair, who else can I do it to? Random dudes?? Fuck that. That shit's wrong. -

Yeah, but he only looked like a beast against Trigg and Ninja. Who, again, are so bad they lost to Robbie Lawler. -

What the fuck does this have to do with the peach pit and sideburns? I long for the days of the lengthy intro and *turn to the camera while your credit is on screen and smile* -
Finished Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (all 5) and overall I loved it. I should note that I read the book which had all 5 parts in it, as I guess there are different interpretations of the story. The ending felt a bit abrupt, as there were a lot of loose ends they could have tried to tie up , but it certainly didn't defeat my enjoyment of the series. It is the funniest book I have read, and one that left me with a good feeling everytime I put it down. I will be honest in saying that I wouldn't have been mad had they ended it with the end of Krikit (Life, the Universe, and Everything), though I thoroughly enjoyed So Long and Thanks for All the Fish. The final book, Mostly Harmless, is a bit of a departure from the rest of the series and felt sort-of tacked on, more of an obligation than anything. I had seen the film version first and what a really bad adaptation that was. Still, it helped with visualizing the characters and hearing Alan Rickmans voice when speaking Marvins dialogue had me on the floor.

Plus, it's a classic syllogism: Wiman got KO'd by a flying knee from Fisher. Tavares threw a flying knee at Griffin. Therefore, Tavares KO's Wiman with a flying knee. Aristotle wins again. -
Randy Marsh is the greatest living embodiment of the human perfection. So yeah, those episodes all rule. Trapped In the Closet, beyond the hype, is pure pwnage. Ditto BFF and Bloody Mary. SP just outright rips into these social conventions with a very pointed fury that is generally unseen in television today and is what really puts the show well over and above almost everything else, for me at least. They make A.A. look bad, which I never would have thought possible. "This is what they actually believe". 9 did have stinkers (I thought the concept of Marjorine was better than the execution, but Butters always delivers) however the peak episodes during the season more than make up for it (C'mon, JEW GOLD! So awesome). I would equate it with Simpsons Season 4 in that same regard, where the all-timers made up for the groaners.

Season 5 is debatable, but season 6,7,8 are not better than 9. The Death of Eric Cartman, while not being a classic by any means, still has the breaking point of the boys with Cartman being that -not all the whacky shit Cartman did in the past that were downright evil- he ate the skin off KFC.

Screw the town, the maker of the toilet seat should advertise. "So comfortable, you could spend 2 years going nuts on it" -
'Splain yourself, good sir! Season 9 had "Die, Hippie, Die", "Best Friends Forever", "The Losing Edge", "Two Days before The Day After Tomorrow", "Ginger Kids", "Trapped in the Closet" and "Bloody Mary". Maximum pwnage from Stone and Parker. Though anything SP from about Season 5-on is fantastic (Season 1 is better than Season 10?!)
