Curran wiping the blood on his face with Fabers shorts might just be the move of the show.

Ok, this liquor commercial, on the bottom it says "Indulge Responsibly". Now, do they not know the meaning of "Indulge" or "Responsibly"?

The way the announcers are talking about the fight, you could swear Faber was winning the fight despite Curran being on his back.

Bowles looks and sounds like he was fathered by Tim Kazurinsky. Does he have a nickname? Can we call him Sweetchuck?

Jens muscling-over guys is quite the sight. The look he gave Cub after the tap was one of righteous indignation, "What the fuck did you THINK was gonna happen?"

Yeah but he lacked in explosiveness in any area of the game, even in his submissions. Filho is lucky Sonnen clearly doesn't know what he's doing, because he was put in the same position Horn tapped him in and he didn't think it necessary to fill that hole in his game. Filho was so lethargic, no snap in his punches, his reaction time was nil, his takedown attempt was lackluster and he was moving around the ring like he had lead in his feet. He wasn't Clay Guida before, but he was a lot more active and reactive. Very disappointing first two fights in WEC. Zuffa was smart in not having him debut on the big stage. Should be standard protocol if it weren't for the bottom line.

That has to be total balls: Filho gets a buy on the KO and Sonnen get's f'd in the A on the armbar. C'mon, didn't that jew ref see Sonnen vs. Babalu? He screams like a bitch ALL the time, let it break. That fight was quite the tough case for Filho as top fighter in the division... is it really steroid withdrawl? Filho was a great fighter, once, no? Or did he never fight wrestlers or strikers or... And since Filho is dropping so much bulk, he should probably be thinking about moving down to 169.

Sluggish, thy name is Filho. It will be interesting to see the replay on the supposed KO.

Filho's stache is the biggest prospect in the game today. If he lets that sucker reach it's potential, we'll have full-on cop stache.

I was watching some of the 99 GP... Aerts vs. LeBanner is fucking retarded. I was going to watch Hoost vs. Hug but I got a phone call that didn't seem to end just when it started.

Forrest Griffin vs. Mauricio Shogun Rua 9/22/2007 - UFC 76: Knockout http://mmafightvideos.blogspot.com/2007/09...st-griffin.html It's hard for me to watch this fight, even after a few months, despite picking Forrest to win. Mike Goldberg, while not entirely incorrect in his assessment that, "Griffin has established a pace that has gassed Shogun Rua", in reality, Shogun established that pace himself and was not prepared for Forrest to meet him and then surpass him at such a tempo. Which is surprising. Not that Shogun gassed necessarily, but that two light heavyweights, both at fight time probably exceeding 220, could fight a pace not common to their weight class. Couple the activity with the personalities involved, and it makes for a very exciting fight. Three things were clear in this fight: 1. Griffin was much bigger than Shogun, 2. Shogun was ill-prepared to deal with moving around such weight, and 3. Griffin has matured as a fighter, and reached the top tier of the division.

Yeah, he was winning the fight on a whole, but when he started to lose he gave up... they really need him on TUF, so we can have another "put me back in" tear-drop moment. What's the 155 equivalent of Elvis Sinosic? Mishima? Is it Mishima?

Roger Huerta vs. Leonard Garcia 4/7/2007 - UFC 69: Shootout http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/109947..._vs_Garcia.html Two fighters with absolutely no regard for their own health and safety, throwin fists like it's going out of style. "These guys know each other more now than it would take years to know someone else." Crazy Mexicans. Roger Huerta vs. Clay Guida 12/9/2007 - TUF 6 Finale http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=23615136 I will admit that watching this fight, and the Garcia fight back-to-back... this fight makes the Garcia fight look slow in comparison. This was a fight that, going into it, you knew that it was akin to seeing two trains on the same track heading towards each other. Two upstoppable wills colliding. Into the third round, Clay looked possessed, thinking "Fuck yes, I am going to kill this fucker tonight. I will murder him." And Huerta was like "This guy wants to kill ME? Fuck nah, I ain't grown up the way I did to lose tonight, no sir."

I may have seen the Holanda fight... from the 11th row.... C'mon now, though, Stouts shit would have been pushed in had Holanda not been, you know, Holanda, and completely gas the fuck out after a brisk walk. To me, submitting Stout is not impressive. I don't completely dismiss the possibility of Florian RNC'ing Huerta into unconsciousness, as I think it's the most likely way for him to win, but I don't think Huerta will lay down like Stout did and let Kenny have his way. Kenny could take Huerta down, but keeping him down and maintaining control in scrambles is the hard part, as is keeping the pace in those takedowns. We're talking Sean Sherk level grapplefucking to keep Huerta down and controlled. I don't really have that much faith in Kennys abilities, but he can always prove me wrong. I just don't see Kenny moving around like Clay did.

I think my FOTY might end up being Huerta/Crane. Some slight adjustments could mean a lot for Huerta; his stance especially. Very much a wide base with his right leg forward, which lends itself to easy takedowns and susceptibility to inside lowkicks from conventional stance fighters.

    TUF VI: Welterweights

I like how Kenny has become Sherk, Buakaw, and Rickson all of a sudden. Kennys wrestling isn't good enough to do what he wants to do with Huerta. His BJJ isn't good enough, and more over, Huertas BJJ isn't bad enough, to have as easy a time as he did with Stout and Kit Cope. Huerta won't stall out like Mishima, period, and barring a freak injury like the one Din had that lead to his loss, I don't really see much in Kennys past fights that will lead him to anything but a close, but ultimately lost, fight. That fight will come down to the x-factors, heart, will, determination. Kenny's leg kicks are going to be nullified by Huerta being in his face all night, which Kenny won't like. Kenny is a stick and move kinda fighter and Roger fights wars. once Kenny gets some fists flying in his face, my bet is he shuts down. If I would see any chance for victory for kenflo it comes from a RNC, but Huerta has given his back up so many times and gotten through it that it's hard to see him getting caught before rolling away. Though you're theory on midkicks is adorable.

Pretty sure he wears Affliction clothing. I can't find it on there and the "One More Round" shirt was really kick ass. I believe the clothing company is called "One More Round" http://www.onemoreroundclothing.com/

Yuh, no. Guida clearly beat Din. Complete robbery. *Does Dins shuffle dance* Saying Florian would beat him with BJJ on the ground is kinda ignoring Huerta scramblefucking Alberto Crane. The dude just doesn't stop moving enough to get position on. You have to have the tightest ground game on the planet to keep Huerta down, coupled with the stamina to keep going after failed attempts, which in only possessed by the uber elite (Sherk, Penn). I think Huerta would eat Kennys food because of the pace he'd push and his ability to wear his opponents down on either offense or defense. Kenny Florian couldn't handle the war Huerta would bring, and I don't think many could. And I actually like Kenny and think the fight would be good. It's the Noguiera-factor, and Huerta has it. You can't count him out, ever. His will to win is such that you can't give him any chances, or let up a single bit. Goddammit, I can't say enough about how impressed I was with his comeback.
